Day 12 – Last Salt Water Flush, Beginning the Ease-Out with Orange Juice

It feels good to put away the lemons and the maple syrup – although I have wondered about the Orange Juice Day and the total calories when only drinking the orange juice without the maple syrup. So I figured it out. During the cleanse, I consumed around 1 cup of maple syrup each day and 1 cup of lemon juice. That is about 900 calories. 1 8oz glass of orange juice provides 112 calories. I want to have around the same calories as the other days. The original book never actually specifies the amount of orange juice: it says, “Drink several 8oz glasses”. I decided to make 8 – 8oz glasses, providing me with 896 calories for the day.

I bought 16 large navel oranges yesterday. I tasted a little juice from one today, and it is pretty sour, so I might yet replace them. In the past, I have had oranges that yielded amazing juice, and I want the same again. I still don’t know for sure what kind of oranges produce the best juice.

I am also going to compare the hand juicer with the power juicer in order to see which produces the most juice, and by how much.

My vitals today showed very similar stats to yesterday. I am going to continue to take these measurements until Wednesday next week – three full days into eating freely. I have decided that the post-cleanse is as important as the cleanse itself. I am curious to find out how we (myself and others) respond following the Lemonade Diet. Will our dietary habits improve or will we return to bad ones? How much weight, if any, will we gain back? And how fast? I would like to outline my objective for after the Lemonade Diet, just as I have done for before the cleanse, the ease-in, the diet itself, and the ease-out.

I will also do a post mortem (so to speak) on the statistics and the process. Look for that posting next week. It will summarize the photos, stats and feelings throughout the cleanse.

Photos – Front, Back, Side Relaxed, Side Flexed and Gut Pinch

Height in Inches

72.5 – Of course this is never going to change, but it comes into play in calculating my Body Mass Index and calculating Body Fat Index as well.

Weight

191.8 – Very slight increase.

Body Fat Index

23.4 – Up again. I am convinced that this reading sucks.

Body Mass Index

25.6 – Basically the same. Again, this measure is calculated based on my height and weight.

PH Balance

6.8 – Again it started out as a 6.2 and ended at a 6.8. Either way this seems too far on the acidic side, which I am curious about, and will seek consultation on. I would assume the cleanse to lean toward alkalinity, since the lemons are alkaline in our bodies. I will get back to you on this.

Heart Rate

65 – Good.

Systolic Blood Pressure

133 – Good

Diastolic Blood Pressure

78 – Good

Temperature

Average – Need a better reading. My blood pressure machine takes a simple reading.

Waist in Inches

34.8 – Basically the same

Belly in Inches

35.6 – Same.

Chest in Inches

39.8 – Slight Improvement, but the same as the day before.

Biceps in Inches

14.2 – Bigger than yesterday.

Leg/Quad in Inches

22.8 – Slight Improvement.

Gut Pinch in Inches

3.7 – Same
