So we have begun this journey together, in this new season. Let’s take the opportunity to share our experiences in a way that encourages not only ourselves through the support of others, but just as importantly, to encourage others with our support for them. Look to give just a little more than you take from this experience. Let’s take the opportunity, in what seems like a self-centered experience, and transcend it into a social benefit.

The process of the Ease-In is one that I have come to rely on. It is simply a mirror of the process of breaking the cleanse, or what I call the Ease-Out. By approaching the Lemonade Diet slowly (the main event of The Master Cleanse – the fasting days when you consume only the lemonade), you not only prepare psychologically and physically for the upcoming challenge, but you also begin to train yourself for a potentially lifelong change in your dietary habits – whole grains, no processed foods, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

    ffffffffff today was going well and then i napped on the couch for no apparent reason, then woke up and THE WORLD WAS A STRANGE STRANGE PLACE and I needed pork to make it less weird D:

    still, ate fewer processed things than normal, and only juice and water for beverages (no coffee, cola or alcohol), so though it wasn’t a totally proper ease-in day 1, it wasn’t an utter failure.

    fruit and veggie juice tmrw here i come!

    Day 1-Ease in

    So today I’m beginning with the fruits and salads. It’s going alright as I generally eat healthy but I think I am craving because I know what is coming. They ate McDonalds today for lunch at work, I had some grapes. Tonight will be challenging as I love eating a nice meal with my children. They’ll understand though, and hopefully be supportive.

    Night before Day 1 – this will be my first cleanse and I am very anxious, excited and fearful. I LOVE carbs – hence my 17 lb weight gain since my wedding almost two years ago. I was a lovely 125, now I’m a junky 142. I’ve been running and starting to get back into free weights, boxing and my beloved Bosu Ball, I just need that extra push. I’m going to try to continue to run at least 2 miles a day, and will also try to do gentle yoga at least once a week along with some mild Bosu exercises. 14 days of bliss – it will all be worth it! Wish me luck!

    I did not ease in. I never do (I have done this two times) but I do cut back just to be ready. My ease in consists of psyllium husk powder and water at night.I like to eat less and less until the fast starts.

    I was not going to ease in as i did not last cleanse, but i will after all. I am excited to rid myself of food for a while. I will be going to the gym during this clease. I look forward to seeing how that goes. Best wishes everyone……

    I am very excited to begin this process again. I have really been pouring over information about different ways to cleanse and I do feel that this is the way for me to go. MC has always been the way that I have taken. The rough part is and always will be the SWF. If I could just master that I would be great!
    I have never done an ease in. I usually just start when the time is right. I think that I will do this again. Last fall a fellow MC’er and myself went the 40 days and I can not think of another time that I really felt so great! After the first 3 days that is.

    I’m going to make it rough on myself. Today I had two plate fulls of black eyed peas, collards, and a chicken/rice/mushroom casserole within 20 minutes. Delicious. I’ve never fasted, never even really considered it until a friend recommended I check this site out. I’ll see how long I can go. Purpose: to rid myself of the toxins I have accumulated from a maelstrom of drug and alcohol use over the past few years. Addict I am not, but I have enjoyed indulging in all sorts of matters. College, high school, it’s all been one hell of a trip. Nearing the end of all that now. I am going to push myself to the brink. Fasting, I see, is not only a way to cleanse oneself… still not really so sure how that happens, but a way to find out who I am. What has my body been trying to tell myself for the past 6 years? Where is my mind, body, spirit? Here I come.

    How slow can a fast really last?

    Now I feel I cheated myself a bit….I did my ease in prior to NYE in order to start the cleanse today! During my first day I did write some notes on day one of the ease-in.

    After the holidays it was easy to switch back to a simple, vegan diet focusing on raw foods and vegetable soups to help feel better. I started day one with the lemonade, had a small salad in two parts for lunch, some fruit, and then veggie soup. Overall, I felt like I was working in a fog, had major sinus congestion and a headache, and felt tired and sore all over.

    (Day 1 – The Non-Ease In)

    There’s no way the ease in can begin today. I’m too hungover from NYE. I think im going to try and eat very little fruits and veggies and mostly water on the 3rd. However I’ve done the cleanse twice before and I didnt ease in either time. My first time I went 12 days, my second time i cheated on the 6th, but finished another 4 :-( I need to go buy more organic sea salt. See you on the 4th people
