Day 10!! I did it!!!

I wanted to blog after I finished the cleanse because reading the other blogs on this site as I was doing the cleanse really helped me stay strong! I always would go to the blogs after a day of cleansing! It was great reading other people's experiences and relating to their struggles.

This was my first cleanse ever! I heard about it when my twin sister tried it last year but she could only do one day. I had been eating things that were not healthy for me for about a week and I was gaining weight quickly so I knew I needed a quick intervention, aka The Master Cleanse. I did no ease in. I did it "cold turkey". Everyone is different, so I'm not saying the ease in is not important, I just was extremely motivated. Like othe bloggers, it was difficult because I have a two year old son who I have to cook for and get snacks for. Temptation was always in my face! But i knew I had to stay strong and avoide it.

For most people I noticed that after day 4, its easier for them. For me, I really didn't find it easier until day 6. After day 5, it seemed like forever until day 10! It was tough for me doing 5 days of the cleanse...now I have to do it all over again. But once day 6 hit, four days seemed like nothing! Its never "easy" though, at least for me. Every day it was hard to avoid food, but I knew that I had a goal I wanted to obtain. Not only to cleanse my body, not only to lose weight, but to prove to myself I could do it! I am very proud of myself and I know you all can do it too! Just avoid tempatation! Its hard all ten days but once you have finished, you really feel great looking back at what you've done.

I lost a total of 12 pounds and I'm very happy with that. I went to the doctors yesterday and when I stepped on the scale, I smiled! The nurse came in after and said, "Well at your height of 5'8, you have about ten more pounds to lose to be whats normal for your height". Ten pounds to me seems like nothing now! My whole outlook on food and keeping my digestive system healthy, has completly changed. I can't wait to drink orange juice tomorrow! Can't wait to eat a piece of broccli! I did it!! And EVERYONE can do it too! Its all about will power! Don't let your mind tack over you! You take over your mind and continue to tell your self you can do it!
