I'm on day four of the MC and I am feeling really wonderful. I had experience with fasting in the past, but never something this. I feel like I'm drinking liquid all the time. That's probably a really good thing because I can scarcely remember the last time I felt fully hydrated. It's like I've been breathing all along incorrectly, i was all chest and no belly. Anyway, it's getting much better now.

I was just actually writing to remind everyone of the importance of prebiotics and probiotics when easing out a a cleanse and into an everyday diet. Both PREBIOTICS (foods which stimulate the growth ofindigenous microflora) and PROBIOTICS (foods already containing microflora to be delievered straight to the gut)work together to create a super healthy colon! We need that to keep toxins consistently flushing out of our system.

When easing out of the MC we must imagine we're staring at a great white canvas and we need to choose wisely where we will start. Chicory root and vegetables high in Inulin (a long chain dietary fiber) will be good places for you us to start when we choose solid foods again.

I'm not sure if I'll do the orange juice, never been good with that stuff in the past. I might switch gears to a juice fast and supplement it with green high fiber veg. like kale and avocado, maybe put some quinoa in there....

How is NOT eating food making me LOVE it even MORE!

Day 1 lemonade diet. I thought it would be easier, I still have a bunch of produce left over from easing in and it will go to waste and my boyfriend, who I live with was eating my gourmet cheses and drinking prosecco in front of me. It would be a lot easier if I lived alone and if most of my social events didnt revolve around food and wine, both in house and out and about. To make it a little easier, I dont have kids and two of my coworkers are doing it as well!! We will see if I can make it Saturday and then do it longer nest time! Good luck to everyone!!

Lemonade Diet Day 6

So it's going ok. I don't really feel the need to eat anything. It's more of an annoyance actually, not being able to eat anything that is. I realize how much extra time during the day I have now. It's good but, on the same token I kind of want something to take up some of that time... something like eating hahaha. Well, four more days and then I'll be there. I can tell my stomach has shrunk a bit and that is probably good as I have been known to overeat a considerable amount of the time. All in all, I feel like this diet has helped me showcase my own willpower to myself. If I can drink that salt water stuff everyday for ten days, I can damn sure eat correctly after this is all over.

Lemonade Diet day 4 I feel your pain Tamika I have a 16 month old boy that I have to cook and prepare snacks for all day long. My cravings for food are really strong. For the past 3 days my son won't even eat as much as he used to I keep thinking that he won't finish his meal or snack because he sees me not eating i don't know if that can be true or not but I am trying not to use that as an excuse to give in and cheat on this diet because I have gained so much weight the past 2 years and feel so unhealthy and tired all the time. So far on this diet my mood and my energy level is great.
