			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day 12 - Last Salt Water Flush, Beginning the Ease Out with Orange Juice</p>
<p>It feels good to put away the lemons and maple syrup - although I have wondered about the Orange Juice Day and the calories total of only drinking the orange juice and no more Maple Syrup. So I figured it out. During the cleanse I consumed around 1 cup of Maple Syrup each day and 1 cup of Lemon Juice. That is about 900 calories. 1 8 oz glass of orange juice provides 112 calories. I want to have around the same calories as the other days. It doesn&#8217;t not exactly say how much orange juice to drink in the original book. It says &#8220;Drink several 8oz glasses&#8221;. I decided to make 8 - 8oz glasses to give me 896 calories for the day.</p>
<p>So I bought the oranges yesterday. 16 large navel oranges. I tasted a little juice from one today and it is pretty sour so I might go and get others. In the past I have had oranges that yeilded amazing juice, and I want the same again. I don&#8217;t know what kind of oranges produce the best juice.</p>
<p>I am also going to compare juicing using the hand juicer I have and the power juicer I have to see which produces the most juice, and how much juice exactly it produces.</p>
<p>My vitals today showed very similar stats to yesterday. I am going to continue to take these measurements until Wednesday next week - 3 full days into eating freely. I have decided that after the cleanse is as important as the cleanse itself. I am curious to find out how myself and others respond following the lemonade diet. Do we eat proper or go back to bad habits. How much weigh to be gain back if any? How fast? I would like to outline my objective for after the lemonade diet just as I have done for before the cleanse, the ease in, the lemonade diet, and the ease out.</p>
<p>I will also do a post mortem so to speak on the statistics and the process. Look for that posting next week. It will summarize the photos, stats and feelings through the cleanse.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day 11 - Last Day on the Lemonade Diet - Tomorrow Ease Out. I went to bed late after hockey - it was 1:30 by the time I closed my eyes. My cold seemed to be fading. The coughs were loosening up and I could breath and sleep no problem. I slept well and woke up to pee (as I always do each night due to all the water I drink on the cleanse). It was 6 AM. I was groggy and new I would sleep again, but not for long. I woke again at 7:30 feeling great. I feel light and thinner. My head is clear and my energy is high. I am really looking forward to eating. It doesn&#8217;t help that I was researching food recipes for websites to develop.</p>
<p>My Vitals show more weight loss down to 191.4, a drop of almost 15 pounds. My heart rate is looking good and my belly inches are dropping. Still a good three days till I have some comfort food like grandma&#8217;s perogies, or a cheeseburger so I expect more to come off. I really want to maintain a longer cycle of balance. Some once said to me balance is key, illustrating that going from one extreme to another is not healthy. I suggested that any balance is balance. What&#8217;s the difference between swings from a -1 or -2, to +1, or +2 - a shallow swing, or a deep swing of -101 or -102 to +101 or +102. The net difference is still the same. Balance. Not sure about that theory but sounds good against the BS meter.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day 10 - Feeling better. The cold symptoms are gone. There is a cold going around the city. I am curious if I am more susceptable to cold while on the cleanse. I would believe so since your metabolism slows, and your immune system would be less active. I actually feel quite good and I will play hockey tonight. I just have a runny nose now and a slight cough.</p>
<p>Today I can say that tomorrow I am done the lemonade diet and then on to the Ease out. It&#8217;s true, I am counting days. It&#8217;s funny though, I have only been for the 10 day cycle and from looking at my movements, they are only now become less black. They are still brown and dirty, but they are getting cleaner. I think they must get cleaner and cleaner and you want to continue. Also the weight loss starts to become noticeable. I had about 20 pounds of extra weight on me. I have lost almost 14 pounds. It has been 10 days. That&#8217;s 1.4 pounds per day. So over the next 5 days I should loose 6 more pounds. That would bring me to 20. Let&#8217;s see.</p>
<p>Vitals today show another pound lost and the BFI finally coming down. The measurements are show my waist and belly pinch down a degree.</p>

<p>6.8 - So another note about this. The tester I am using provides a color coded scale fro 5.5 - 8.0. It also says &#8220;Read Immediately&#8221; The thing is that immediately it is off the scale on the low end (acidic), and then over time it starts to turn green and move up the scale. Today, the first reading seemed 6.2 and in a matter of 20 seconds it has moved up to 7.2. So I just don&#8217;t know.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day 9 - It was a rough night last night. My cold symptoms are back big time. I have never sneezed so much in my life. I was so congested in my nose. It was runny in a way that I have never experienced before. I was up most of the night. I had to miss a meeting in the morning, but by the time I woke up I was feeling better. The congestion passed a bit after a long hot shower. Stanley Burroughs says you loose mucus a lot and maybe that is what is happening. This is the first time I have felt like this on the lemonade diet.</p>
<p>I skipped the flush today. Will of course do it tomorrow. I have been reading a lot of comments that people are doing it at night. You probably don&#8217;t have an empty stomach due to the juice, so that isn&#8217;t the best idea. I really believe the morning is the time to do it.</p>
<p>Today&#8217;s Vitals show that I am still loosing weight. My blood pressure seems to have stabilized. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day 8 and feeling great. I do have some cold symptoms remaining but I feel good. Just a runny nose really. I played hockey again last night. That is my 4th time exercising while doing the master cleanse and lemonade diet. I can see the end on the horizon and I am looking forward to eating. It sure is funny, the  process of this cleanse. You go through so many emotional states. It&#8217;s like being in love and depressed because you were dumped happening every day. I sometimes feel a loss for the food, like I will never eat again. Thankfully I realize quickly of course that this is not true and so that feeling passes.</p>
<p>It is also interesting how I CRAVE, and want to eat. Those &#8220;thoughts&#8221; don&#8217;t really go away. But the sting of them do. The hook, that I have to act on that thought. Maybe that is my favorite part of the lemonade diet. I learn each time that I am not my thoughts. I am not a biological machine on autopilot controlled by the sub-conscious ramblings of my mind. These are the same thoughts that make us eat when we are depressed, or bored. Those two unhealthy relationships with food lead us to the weight gain that we are trying to purge ourselves from.</p>
<p>One other relationship I have with food is that I LOVE it. I just love eating. The tastes and smells of the world cusine. While this alone isn&#8217;t an unhealthy relationship, perhaps my choice to eat until I can&#8217;t anymore so I can continue to <strong>taste</strong> as much as I can, is. In fact I am certain it is. My final cause for caloric in-balance is drinking. I like to booze. I drink beer and lots of them. That&#8217;s a lot of calories. Then, going home I want fast food, and lots of it. Then, hungover in the morning, I want fast food again. The trifecta of weight gain.</p>
<p>But I digress, on to today&#8217;s vitals.</p>
<p>I lost another pound. ad my heart rate has stabilized. I haven&#8217;t looked at my photos from 1 day to the next. I will when I am done to see if I can see a difference in them. I do feel a difference.</p>

I need to check this again after I flush and brush my teeth and tongue. The scale goes from 0 - 14, and 7 is balanced.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day 7 started with a cold symptoms last night. My throat was dry and my nose was plugged a little. I felt weak and tired and couldn&#8217;t sleep well through the night. Finally when I woke it has seemed to have broken. Lets hope so.</p>
<p>Last night I was feeling a longing for food. I miss eating and I look forward to eating again. It&#8217;s funny the psychology of this process. You have those thoughts of quitting - quite often actually. But you know you can do it, your move on to something else to disctract your mind and you play mental gymnastics to calculate how much longer you have to go, how good you feel now and how good you will feel after the lemonade diet. You learn your strength to deny those cravings that are just means to make yourself feel better like a beer, some chocolate or any other need. It makes you feel powerful, but at the same time sometimes you feel week because you want to quit. It reminds me of traing for hockey. So many times running, or lifting weights, you want to quit, but you push through, and soon that desire has passed and you get in a groove. And the feeling afterwords is so uplifting.</p>
<p>I am sitting here waiting for the flush to kick in while I write this. I can feel it rumbbling below.</p>

<p>For the Salt Water Flush this morning I tried the 2 Teaspoons again, rather than the 1 Tablespoon and was still successful in getting a movement.</p>
<p>My vitals show a stall in weight loss and most metrics across the board. Except for Blood pressure where I seem to be stablizing.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day 5 started great. I feel great. It is true that the first few days are the hardest. I woke up rested and early. I was excited to see my results from today. I think that is becoming something very enjoyable for me. The last 5 times I did the cleanse I never weighed myself at all. I didn&#8217;t care about the measurement of weight. The lemonade diet is so much more than about weight loss. Obviously the weight loss is an important factor and honestly the reason why many people do the cleanse - and that&#8217;s ok too.</p>
<p>It is interesting to see the progress every morning. It is a little feedback and something to look forward too. In fact, the whole process seems easier this time because I am doing the chronicle. I have a set agenda every morning.</p>
<ol>
<li>Step on the Scale to get Weight and Body fat</li>
<li>Go to the bathroom to urinate.</li>
<li>Take my blood pressure and heart rate - though I should probably pee first - I will from now on.</li>
<li>Measure my areas</li>
<li>Take the salt water flush</li>
<li>Take pictures</li>
<li>RUN TO THE BATHROOM - gross.</li>
<li>Make the juice.</li>
<li>Post to the website.</li>
</ol>
<p>A note on the Salt Water Flush. Today I did a little test. I took 1 Tablespoon, not 2 Teaspoons. I have been telling people for years (in opposition to the book), to take 1 Tablespoon (3 Teaspoons). It had always worked for me. Last year I realized the book states 2 Teaspoons. Yesterday I took 2 Teaspoons and had success. Today I took the 1 Tablespoon and had success. Go figure. So to the people that are having trouble with the Salt Water Flush, consider these immutable requirements one more time.</p>
<ol>
<li>Take first thing in the morning on an EMPTY STOMACH.</li>
<li>Make sure the salt is complete disolved.</li>
<li>Drink the whole quart/litre immediately.</li>
<li>Lie on your right side to promote movement through your bowels.</li>
</ol>
<p>So todays vitals show I gained a half of a pound but my PH dropped by 1 full point. My blood pressure was still high, but I began checking 3 times a day yesterday, and the results were better each time. My pinch test on the gut was down a half inch and I can really feel the slimmer nature of my body.</p>

<p>6.4 - Nice improvment here. This is one of the best health factors while doing the master cleanse. The lemon creates an alkaline state. Cancer can&#8217;t live in an alkaline state. Being on the side of alkalinity rather than acidity is desireable</p>

<p>64 - My heart rate was lower this morning.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day 4 finally was able to get out of bed on time. I can&#8217;t say that my sleeping in was due to the cleanse as I <em><strong>love to sleep</strong></em>. I had trouble sleeping again last night. It might have been due to the hunger I was feeling. I had no more juice left to drink and I didn&#8217;t want to fill up with water. I though I would fall asleep soon enough, and I did eventually. I have a few things on my mind, but I also played hockey at 9:00 pm for an hour and a half. I felt great playing hockey - for those of you who wonder about <a href="http://themastercleanse.org/exercise">exercise while on the lemonade diet</a>. I will be starting a workout program based on the <a href="http://themastercleanse.org/5BX">5BX</a> program. The father of the 65 year old man that I sit beside in my old-pro hockey games invented this program. It is a program designed to be done with body weight only - no weights or equipment. I will start with push ups and situps each morning starting tomorrow morning.</p>
<p>When I got out of bed I could feel my blood pressure. It swells to the beat of my heart and can almost be heard, that sudden rush of blood to your head when you get up is similar. After taking my vitals I saw my blood pressure to be high. I am assuming this is due to a few things, but I really don&#8217;t know. It could be that I didn&#8217;t sleep well again. Or that I had not eaten (the juice) since 8:30 the night before. Or that I played hockey. Or that I had not eaten much of the juice since 8:30. More likely though it was because I had not flushed using the Salt Water Flush yet and the toxins were building up.</p>
<p>After the vitals I successfully drank and flushed the salt water. It was very gross. The picture of it is below. Click the title to see it.</p>
<p>Today&#8217;s Vitals showed a drop in weight of over 5 pounds. There was also noticeable difference in my measurements as well.</p>

<p>197.4 - A change of 2.5 pounds. I am amazed at how much weigh I have lost already. That is almost 10 pounds in 3 days. These results don&#8217;t seem typical.</p>

<p>17.5 - A drop of almost 9%. This seems like a big drop. I am calculating my body fat using the scale I weigh myself with. It shoots electrical pulses through your body and judges your weight and height(programmed in by me). I can say how accuracte it is, but it should be at least relatively accurate to my starting point. We&#8217;ll see how this plays out.</p>
<h3>Body Mass Index</h3>
<p>26.4 - Slight improvement again - which seems strange since the drop in weight but it&#8217;s relative to yesterdays drop in weight.</p>
<h3>PH Balance</h3>
<p>7.2 - No change here. I am testing this using a <a href="http://themastercleanse.org/ph-balance">litmus paper tester that gives a range of your PH balance</a>. There are digital ones that are around $100.00 that I am going to try</p>
<h3>Heart Rate</h3>
<p>72 - My heart rate was up substantially. This seems high but I don&#8217;t know. I have to get my normal rate. I will call my doctor and get my most recent results.</p>
<h3>Systolic Blood Pressure</h3>
<p>149 - up from yesterday&#8217;s 146. I am told this is high, but I think it is due to the reasons mentioned above. I am going to test 3 times a day to better understand.</p>
