It’s Way Easier with the Support of a Group

For many of us, The Master Cleanse Experience is all about starting fresh, making changes and sharing with each other for support and encouragement. And since we all eat so much over the holidays, I have noticed that many people are likely to start the Master Cleanse after New Years, Easter, Summer Holidays and after Fall Holiday. It seemed logical to create The Quarterly Master Cleanse Group Cleanse.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore, we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

We also provide 5 topics to post comments about to further structure the advice and questions from our participants. Our entries on the these specific topics will act as a Daily Journal, open for the support of, and from the entire community. Each quarterly cleanse, we’ll reward all those who leave comments in general, but specifically, if you complete the entire Master Cleanse, and Journal Daily on these Daily Journal Pages, you’ll be eligible for some really great rewards.

Post Your Comments Each Day on These Diary Journal Pages

Dates for the Master Cleanse Group Cleanse Experience. If you must start the a day or two before or after our dates and you still want to participate, simply make your comments in your own journal using Microsoft Word or any other Text editor on your computer. Then simply post your feelings on the appropriate days and topics. Registration is always open for Open Classes, the day before The Ease-In date for each event.

Each Group Experience will start on the first FULL Monday (never the day following, but the next week) Following each major holiday or seasonal change of Winter (Christmas and New Years), Spring (Easter), Summer (Independence Day), and Fall.

Duration of the Group Cleanse

Each Group Cleanse will last 16 days including both the Ease-In, Lemonade Diet, and Ease-Out. The total time on the Lemonade Diet will be 10 Days. We start on the first full Monday after a major holiday. In my opinion the timing is the easiest after these major holidays, and on these particular days. This allows for us to Start the Ease-In on a Friday. The Lemonade Diet will start on the following Monday and conclude 10 days later. The Ease-Out will begin on Thursday and end on Saturday, leaving Sunday for the first full day of eating wisely.

Group Cleanse Comment Posting

Once you register (and even if you don’t) you can start to post your experiences on each topics pages by posting your comments to each page.

Most of all enjoy the experience and HAPPY CLEANSING…

I am a newbie and I’m really excited to try the master cleanse. I know this isn’t a diet but I always fail at things like this. I am in the January 12th group but I would like to start on the 31st. If I fail on the 31st then I will stick with the group. None of my friends want to do this cleanse with me. I am hoping to start a healthier eating lifestyle and lose weight.

Hey Madeline! I am the exact way! I started the cleanse yesterday, and eased into it. I’ve been having headaches often, but I usually just take Advil. :[ I wish you luck, and I’m playing that I’ll survive the next 9 days! I love my food, so this is going to be 1 of the hardest things I’ve ever done! My ultimate goal is to lose weight, but I also wanna stop all my junk food cravings. The girl that told me about it lost 25lbs., and kept it off for the last 2 months. She told me she doesn’t crave junk food anymore. That is what I’m looking forward too. This is day 3 without food, day 2 of my cleanse, but I find it hard to drink 6 glasses a day. Yesterday I only had 3, cuz I woke up late. Let’s do it together!

The past 3 days have been my Ease-In days, and I start the cleanse tomorrow. I’m a little nervous and hoping to find some support during these next 10 days… Is anyone starting soon/already started?

Hello! I just finished my ease in days and starting the cleanse today so only a few days behind you! Have you ever done the cleanse before? I did it several years back and it was AMAZING! All my allergies went away, I had tons of energy, skin looked great, and I lost 14 lbs! The hardest part for me is the salt water flush (which I’m about to do) :(
How have your first few days been?

I just started today. This is my third master cleanse. My last 2 were 23 and 24 days respectively.
I’m feeling a bit fatigued abs hungry but hanging in there. The first couple days are the hardest.
      Hang in there.

My Motto: “STAY STRONG SO YOU WONT HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN”

Day 1 was ok for me. The only times I get extremely hungry is when I smell food so during lunch hours I stay out of the kitchen and cafe here at work. I was tempted to quite twice, both times was when I smelled food (I sound like an animal lol ). “STAY STRONG SO YOU WON’T HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN”, & so I did. I was very proud of myself. I drank 6 glasses of lemonade tea through out the day and I drank the laxative tea right before bed.

Day 2 was hard! They say its the first couple of days that are the hardest, well that is true for me because any food/beverage advertisement I came across…tempted me. This morning was when I did the Salt Water Flush. The key for me was to just down it and get it over with, I finished about 75% of it. I felt very nauseous afterwards. I waited about 20 mins before I went to the bathroom. I didn’t drink any lemonade until about 11 because I felt so thirsty after the SWF, I just drank water all morning (which I believe should be perfectly fine), it actually helped me. I did cheat , I ate a couple cashew nuts but then immediately felt nauseous again after, this turned me off completely. I drank the laxative tea before bed.

Day 3- well its only 9am and I do not really have an appetite in the morning so it isnt until around lunch time that I will see if my cravings are still going to be as bad as yesterday. I’m definitely not eat cashew nuts again! lol I did do the Salt Water Flush again this morning, once again I felt nauseous afterwards, but its does its job “the flush”. I am currently drinking cold water right now, it soothes me for some reason after the flush. I am going to start the lemonade around 10/11. I will be drinking the tea again tonight.
A whole day left to go…Wish me luck!!

I have been doing the Master Cleanser now for 33 days. Still no pink tongue :(
As a diabetic I could not use the maple syrup so I opted for the blackstrap molasses.
I had a heart attack 18 months ago, have severe RA and candida and was hoping to feel better on the fast. Yet I am so tired, my heart feels jittery, I’m hungry, cold and my kidneys hurt. No relieve from the RA yet. Blood sugar and blood pressure are actually perfect. I had psoriasis which is much less now, and lost a total of 20 pounds.
I intended to keep going till my tongue turns pink, if necessary up to 60 days.
I am drinking at least 1.5 gallon a day.

Would anyone know of someone who has been on the fast this long, who had heart problems? Btw I am not on any medication.

I just don’t want to add more damages to my body.

    Thanks.

My 10th day is tomorrow. The cleanse must be followed to the T. No subs! I’ve lost 22 lbs and on my way to getting BACK into shape. The salt water morning flush isn’t pleasant but keep your eyes on the prize. I make sure to have an herbal tea before bed(Smooth Move is caffeine free) and relax my mind as well. So much liquid will keep you running to the restroom so be prepared! This cleanse is definitely ‘mind over matter’ and it takes incredible willpower to avoid food of ANY kind. Keeping busy is a must and I would recommend an early bedtime. One particular thing I noticed was that I had an annoying ear clog for weeks that wouldn’t open no matter what I used/tried. After day 4 on the cleanse-voila! I could hear again. Strive to reach your goal for whatever the reasons my friends. You CAN do it! Good luck to you all.

I am wanting to start the master cleanse, but my only concern is that I am currently breastfeeding and wanted to know if it is safe doing so. I know that it wasn’t advised for me to exercise until my baby was two months, to make sure my milk supply was fully established. But now that my baby is over two months I would really like to get a jump star on my weight loss journey. So I am wanting to know if I can do this and continue to nurse my baby, without any issues to my milk supply or it passing through

NO. I am also breastfeeding, have been doing so for ten months, and have done this diet before. There is no safe detox during pregnancy. Toxins WILL pass through breast milk so you will be pumping your baby full of toxins. Please don’t. This is assuming you can even keep your supply up. Breast milk is alive and constantly changing to meet the needs of your baby. To produce what he/she needs you must be taking in the proper nutrients.
If you are set on doing it you could always try pumping a large supply first to feed him/her during your cleanse, continue to pump while doing the cleanse so your supply does not dwindle (and dumping the milk), and upon coming off the cleanse resume breastfeeding.
Regardless of how well you think your supply/breast feeding relationship is established it can dwindle/suffer at any point. My supply TANKED for almost two days out of the blue just after seven months – no change in anything. My poor girl was inconsolable since she was not interested in solids.
Please please do not do it. Don’t take my word as an internet stranger – see a lactation consultant. Even if you do not have the funds to see one there is usually one willing to help at local WIC/SNAP offices. I know they’d be happy to share the science behind it and help you out.

Tom Wolshyn’s book “The Complete Master Cleanse: A Step by Step Guide…” says that those of us “suffering with Fibromyalgia will almost always feel worse the entire 10 days, and maybe into a second cleanse as well”. He recommends taking a product with the “highest quality MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)…” for 2 weeks before the cleanse to try to prevent this. My question is, how do I know which is the highest qality MSM? There are tons listed on Amazon…best I can do is go by the review ratings since they don’t exactly have the purity listed (except for on one). And secondly, does anyone else with FM have experience with the cleanse either with or without using MSM? Thanks!

I am also considering the Master Cleanse and deal with Fibro. Did you do the cleanse and if so did you use MSM?

Use a teaspoon. You only need half a teaspoon.

I use 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper. Hope that helps.
