Group Cleanse Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush (My Experience)

This page is a Support Topic Page for the Topic of Detox and The Salt Water Flush for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

To learn more about the value of Group Cleansing, check out this report.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

Salt Water Flush Detox

The Salt Water Flush (SWF) might be the hardest part of the Master Cleanse, but it doesn’t have to be. It is essential to the cleanse because it facilitates the detox by flushing your system. What is working and what is not working. How are your movements? Are they successful? What do they look like? Are they getting lighter or darker? Are the becoming more frequent? Do you have other signs of detoxing, like breakouts or white tongue? The Master Cleanse is about Detox and daily eliminations are critical to the success of the cleanse. Is this Detox Diet successful so far?

Day 4, SWF, had a good purge, just water and bits, but smell reminded me of when I had dysentery years ago in India, so I believe I had an infection there, the bits were a bit pussy, ( sounds disgusting sorry) :)

Day 3, I did the SWF, I seem to be getting up about 6.30am ish each day to do it. I used a tablespoon of salt today instead of 2 teaspoons, was worried it wasn’t going to do anything and sure enough within the hour I had a good squirt just one but I was relieved. The salt water was harder to get down today, I was gagging a bit, it could of been because I was feeling a bit toxic and full from the day before having not elliminated that day.

Day 3. I did 2 SWF. I added a couple of drops of lemon juice to salted water, so it is not sooo disgusting like just salted water. But I think i won’t be able to do it every day as my anus is aching already (sorry for such details). I want to do it every day as swf cleans not only colon but stomach as well. But this pain in the ass :)

      Hi Anna,

      That’s so funny! Literally!

Today is my day 1, i skipped the salt water flush today, but will do it tomorrow morning.

I did a SWF on Monday and had a good movement about an hour later and then another elimination randomly in the afternoon, I actually don’t mind the taste of the salt and can neck it in 5 minutes, I like it hot but not too hot, I find it comforting first thing in the morning. The first time I tried it it made me feel really sick and I struggled to get it down.
Then in the evening I drank a lax tea before bed, had a great sleep and did another SWF in the morning but this time I didn’t move, only a tiny bit in the afternoon, it’s evening now and my tongue is white tinged with yellow and I’m feeling quite toxic also my nose has been a bit runny today.

This is my first day and I’m still learning about the SWF. Is the SWF required? Everyday? I guess I need to read for more information. All I kept focusing on is starting the lemonade today. I still have not bought laxatives but will do that tomorrow.

Hi Collen, from my experience the salt water flush is vital, but I don’t usually do it everyday.. maybe every other day would work best for you

Today is day two of my Master Cleanse and my first salt water flush. Did not ease into the cleanse so I didn’t do a swf on day one. I drank the laxative tea before going to bed last night. I had one regular bowel movement this morning and then did the swf. It was through me and done in less than one hour. As I read elsewhere, do NOT try to pass gas before you’ve flushed. I chugged 2t sea salt in 2c room temperature water and immediately followed it chugging 2c more water. Feeling good today. Yesterday I had a bad headache in the late afternoon.

Day 10. The salt water flush was clear this morning. On Day 8 it was absolutely not. 8 days of eating no food and dark smelly stuff came out. I may keep going to day 14 just to see what happens.

Day 7: I am looking forward to the saltwater……(Maybe because it is different than lemonade!) I find that not a lot is coming out. But the flushes are done now within 45 minutes of drinking the salt. That makes it more convenient for my schedule. If I wake up an hour early, I can have my regular routine.

    Day 2
Tried the SWF warm today. Think I liked it better at room temp. Hard to find a good laxative tea here in France. Was suggested one but there isn’t any senna in it. Didn’t feel like it was doing much so I tried some laxative pills I had in the cupboard. That certainly did the trick! I bit too much as I had a butt clenching emergency at 4 am

    Day 3
Skipped the SWF today and no laxative at night ( not doing that again)

    Day 4
SWF completed this morning. Back to room temp . So gross this going down this morning. Tomorrow I will try the straw technique.

Day 4. I’m still doing the saltwater flush almost hot with a straw. I found myself looking forward to it. Not a whole lot came out today, mostly bright yellow and on fire. It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.
