My back teeth feel a little chalky! I’m a little concerned about the lemons deteriorating the enamel on my teeth. Anyone else experience the same thing or have any suggestions?

Simply rinse your mouth after each glass of lemonade. You can lightly brush after you rinse as well. It’s wise to be aware of this as the lemon is a little hard on your enamel.

Thanks Mike. I’ll make sure to do that. I’ve also started using a straw to lessen the amount of contact between the juice and my teeth.

So I know this detox is for cleansing purposes primarily but my question is..If a person is over weight but is not losing any or much on the cleanse ..could this mean the person has another possible condition ..Any feed back would be greatly appreciated ..thanks.. :)

I wouldn’t know… but I can’t imagine anyone doing this for a sustained period wouldn’t lose weight. How long have been doing it?

Greetings Kathleen! Is it possible that before starting the MC that you were drinking a number of caffeine products daily? I’ve seen this happen to other people starting the MC, and it is similar to drug withdrawal (caffeine IS a drug LOL!) Usually after the 8th day those who stick it out feel better. It could also be that your personal size is larger and you are feeling a calorie deficit. If the caffeine thing doesn’t fit, then it may be that. If so, and not past Day 5 yet, I’d suggest increasing your maple syrup by one spoon and seeing if that helps. Then decrease to adjust every 2 days until some of the water weight drops off with the MC potty times. Losing the water weight usually increases your energy so it won’t be needed thereafter. DO NOT increase more than that as it will counter the water weight dropping as you then pick up more sugar carbohydrates than you are losing easily. Good fortune! =)

You could try starting the cleanse on a Saturday. That would give you two days to see what you think and plenty of time to do the salt water flush, tea, mixing lemonade, etc. and not have to worry about being somewhere. While it is best to mix up each glass of lemonade right before you drink it, it is okay to mix up enough for the morning or for the day. The cayenne pepper gets hotter as the day goes on though so you may want to add it right before drinking each glass. Good luck!

I need an alternative to the salt water flush in the morning should i do another up of tea instead? The flush made me throw up after an hr and no real results 2hrs after drinking flush

You can do another cup of laxative tea in the morning. The SWF is optional.

I am interested in trying the Master Cleanse. I do, however have some concerns. I have a very physical job which requires a lot of energy and stamina. It is not really an aerobic activity but I work out side in the elements too. It would not only be difficult to drink the lemonade mix as directed (mixed just before drinking) but I have doubts about working strenuously while on the diet. I could wait forever to start if I use this as a reason not to. I recently was unemployed for quite some time but have been back to work for a couple of months and see steady employment ahead. I am a Union Bricklayer and a job trailer and port o john would be my only means of comfort this winter.
Any thoughts?

Hello Holly! I had the same concerns when working on a military airfield loading/unloading 10′s of thousands of military bags / boxes / gear / etc to and from multiple sites in the heat. With each bag being anywhere from 80-300 lbs (requiring 2 people for heavier), and no real location to potty, I was really worried. Aside from the constant need to potty, which took some mastering before going, the taking of the juice mix I found wasn’t so difficult. I would take either a 32oz Gatorade bottle or 2-liter bottle with my juice extract, a small container of cayenne pepper, and the maple syrup in a mini-tote soft food lunchbox. Using freezer packs placed the night before, it kept the syrup and juice fresh until I could mix it. I made sure not to mix the pepper before needing it, because it steeps the mix like tea and you’d lose more enzymes. To combat the heavy drain of nutrients from the work, I used an all-natural LIQUID vitamin/mineral supplement bought at Whole Foods (forget the name but it was natural seaweed extract also). Though I felt lightheaded once in a while due to all factors, it isn’t so unusual doing the MC that people who aren’t doing such heavy work feel the same. Easy enough to recognize. Good fortune! =^)

i want to try the Master Cleanse to lose weight, but im curious of a few things..
1. are you ever aloud to eat while doing the lemonade diet, such as fruits or vegetables as snacks?
2. will being on this diet effect me during intense excersize? concidering i do almost daily.
3. if i am 5 foot 9 inches, i weigh 170 how much could i possibly lose in a month?

No food except the lemonade, water, and i believe decaf peppermint tea with nothing in it. I am unsure if u can exercise or not i have wondered the same thing i think i may have a short swim 2day
