The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post.

Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Post your experiences on these topics:

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the proccess like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

    Lemonade Diet Day 2
So far, I feel like I’m doing pretty well. I think it definitely helped me to “ease in” before I started this. My stomach was already used to less food and the food I was eating was healthier (fruits and vegetables). I have tried this diet once before and the first day still wasn’t too bad, but I think this one was definitely better. It was, however, on Day 2 of the last time I did this that I gave in to cravings, ate off the diet and then quit. I really want to do better this time. I was going to wait for the group diet, but I had already set my mind to start a few days ago, so I’m already here…with the rest of you posting now! I just read the information on another website about Robin Quivers’ story-how she lost so much weight and felt so much better after doing this cleanse 3 times. She stayed with it much longer than 10 days. It said she did it for 21 days each time. Wow! But, she did get amazing results. The main thing that inspires me, however, is that she said she had experienced joint pain for years. That is my biggest problem now. At 47, I feel like 80 sometimes. It hurts so much just to move. And when I get stressed, the pain increases. So, I am mainly doing this for detoxification. If I could lose some of the 30 pounds I’ve gained in the past few years that would be a blessing. Good luck, everyone!

Today is my First day of the Ease in. I will need to start the MC on Friday 4/6/2012 so I am Easing in for 2 days instead of three. Today was my first day without my coffee, cream and sugar, replaced with herbal tea and 1 splenda pack. I am having fruits and veggies and water for the remainder of the day.
This is my first time attempting MC. wish me luck.

Day 3 of master cleanse. I don;t think I am doing it right bit I am doing it in whatever weird way I am. Drank a mug of coffee with almound milk this morning then had half a glass bottle of the cleanse left over. and then drank 2 cups of almond milk because i guessed i needed sustainence. idk, should really be drinking more lemonade, or do another ease in day. actually dont want to eat but then really do .. i suck at cleansing but whatever it actually is so emotioanl and physical i started crying but that had nothing to do with food i actually don’t know. I hope to get through this and be a master cleanser but super tough i don’t want to do it. is this 100 wordz stuff stuff stuff, need some luck luck luck.

Day 6 – lower energy but not like…need to take a nap, just moderate vs the 2nd – 5th day where it was blissed out and ultra HIGH energy. Who the hell signed up for 14 days of a liquid fast?! LOL! Totally necessary, feel better for sure, great results and important process – BUT – good lord…….not a walk in the park!

    Day 4 Ease In
I’m on the orange juice and I am not hungry per say but the craving for food is there. It does not help that it is the weekend and the house smells of bacon and everything enticing. I am happy that I dont have to do the cooking today. I am so determined to remain on this for 30 days and school is closed so dont have to go out. I will need all the strength that I can muster. I am looking forward to my first laxative tea tonight. I am just hoping to get through the day. I have weighed myself to start and I am at 11stone. I plan to weigh every Saturday. I am already looking forward to month end. Here’s hoping it passes quickly. Good luck to everyone out there.

    Ease-In Day 2
Hi, I had some fresh vegetables today and made a couple of smoothies from bananas, grapefruits, dates, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, raisins and blackberries. I also tried the lemonade today. I must admit that cayenne pepper has a huge impact on me. I feel hungry! It stimulates my body so well.. That’s why I’m a little worried about going fully on the lemonade diet because there’s so much cayenne pepper and absolutely no food to digest.. prrr! :D
I was also wondering if it’s OK to start with the cleanse if I’ve got cold. I’m not totally sick but mu nose is dripping.

Wednesday. Day 5 of MC. It was pretty tough today. I was feeling very drained of energy. I had to spend about 4 hours at Uni and couldn’t concentrate very well. I just came home had a few more lemonades and went to sleep. Also was feeling cravings for food. It wasn’t an easy day to be honest and hopefully tomorrow I’ll feel better!

Tuesday. Day 4 of MC. I forgot to post this last night, so writing this in the morning of Day 5. Yesterday was fine. I really think my body is getting used to the lemonade diet now. I always feel great first thing in the morning and last thing at night. In the evenings I guess my body must have some sort of feeding clock, because I do start to think about food. Also the smells of my housemates cooking doesn’t help that. I’ve lost 7 pounds, so I’m down to 140 pounds now. I can’t really see where that 7 pounds came from, apart from my stomach being flatter and I guess maybe my face being a bit more defined. I guess maybe it’s an internal thing. I haven’t done the Saltwater flush in days, but I will on Friday evening once I’m finished with uni for the week. I’m bringing some of my mix with me today as I’m planning on going to the library for a few hours. Hope it’s as good a day as yesterday!

Monday. Day 3 of MC. Today I had to go to Uni for lectures. My nightly laxative tea is really showing results. I had 2 glasses of my lemonade before I went to uni. I felt totally fine for a few hours. Went for tea with classmates after lectures, and I brought my own decaf green tea teabag. Felt a bit low on energy when I walked home (about 30 minutes). Also, feeling like I’m coming down with a cold which is apparently a side effect of detoxing. Tomorrow I have only one class and I’m thinking of skipping it if the cold goes full blown. I seem to have lost a few pounds, which I’m guessing is water weight.

Tonight I’m feeling positive about making it to 10 days. This is my first MC so this will really be a great experience. Tomorrow I will have to re-stock my maple syrup and lemons, and hopefully have another easy day with it.

Sunday. Day 2 of MC. Today was easier than yesterday. I didn’t really have any cravings, and the lemonade seemed to fill me up. I also felt a little more energy and studied for a few hours. I did another salt water flush but there was no big results from that. The senna tea is working for me anyway, so I think I’ll just stick to that. The tea is a bit gross, so I put a few drops of syrup and lemon into that to give it some flavour and it goes down easier that way. I’ve been using a detox brush on my skin just before showering, and I’m already feeling results of soft unblemished skin!

This week will be my first real test. As I started at the weekend, I didn’t really have much to do and was just staying at home. Tomorrow I’m in uni early, and Tuesday I have a seminar to participate in. I’m really hoping not to lose concentration during study. When I was reading earlier, I felt a little spaced and had to read over stuff a few times. I’m going to try and stay positive and really just concentrate on each day as it comes.
