Support Topic: The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Process and The Lemonade Diet for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

The Master Cleanse is a process. And it’s more than just making the lemonade diet drink each time you’re hungry. To successfully get through a protocol like this you need to consciously into a process, a routine so that you come to depend on what’s next. For example, first thing, SWF, next perhaps your normal morning routine, followed by the eliminations from the SWF. Once those start you can have your first lemonade. Maybe you want 4 lemonades by lunch, and 6 after. When is your peppermint tea break? Do you workout during the day? How do you manage work schedule? You get the point.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the process like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

    Ease-Out – Day 2 …

All of my Soups were defrosted and waiting to be eaten. They were all organic and smooth, so no huge vegetables in them. I had a Pea and Ham one and a sweet potato and carrot one.

Come the morning, I was a bit hesitant about eating soup for my breakfast, so I opted for a fruit juice instead – (Why change the habit of a lifetime!)
I juiced 2 carrots and apple and an orange – B-E-A-utiful!!! I am never going to stop drinking juices now – I love them too much. I made sure that I was drinking plenty of water between meals and come 12pm, I was really hungry.

I didn’t prepare a huge portion, just a small bowl of my pea and ham soup.
The taste was amazing, the textures were devine and my stomach was truly thanking me :)
I enjoyed it so much, I went back for seconds.

For dinner, I had the sweet potato and carrot soup, which again was delicious.
It’s amazing how much more you appreciate food, after doing something like this.

    I thoroughly enjoyed Ease-Out, Day 2.

Ease Out Day 1 – First time master cleanse – The Lemonade and the Process. I went to Whole Foods yesterday and got two types of oranges. One bag was from South Africa and they looked like really delicious oranges. The other bag looked like oranges that should have been on life support. They weren’t even orange. The bag contained 2 oranges that were somewhat orange, I think so one might be able to see that they were supposed to be oranges. Those oranges made the most delectable orange juice that has ever passed my lips. My whole orange juice experience has been incredible. I LUV pulp, LOVE IT! It have never been so good as it has been today.

    Ease-Out – Day 1 …

    We’re here!!!! Day 1 of Ease-Out.

Well, first thing this morning I had all of my oranges prepared and ready to go – about 20 of them. I nearly cut another finger off peeling them, but I was so excited that I just didn’t care. My juicer went through it this morning though, i’m sure it’s poor little engine nearly died :)

I made 2 separate litres of Orange Juice and added 500ml of filtered water to each bottle. I added 1 tbsp of Maple Syrup to each litre, just for the added bit of energy – absolutely beautiful! I put a few couple of blocks of ice to the first glass and used a straw… Seriously, I felt like I was on the bahamas, drinking a cocktail.

Very happy and a good, controlled day.

Master Cleanse Day 6 Lemonade diet.
Today was great. I have a 4 day holiday, so no pressure to go out and eat. I bought some herbal tea with a natural laxative in it. I drank a couple cups last night and around 4.30AM, it worked.

Emotionally, I feel pretty good. I did some yoga in the morning and tried a new routine from a youtube site. All good. Then I did the SWF. No problems there. I am not experiencing these massive, life-changing stools, that some people talk about. Maybe I’m too early in the stages. I had planned on going 10 days and then see how I feel. Now I am convinced I can go 21 days and assess how I feel. So far, so good. I had a movement after the SWF, but it came 4 hours later and after a nap.

In the afternoon, I made a big batch of the lemonade juice and am enjoying some on the rocks right now.

I didn’t have to put on slacks or suit pants today, but I’m convinced I lost more size around the waist area. That’s all for now. Good luck everyone.

Day 10 Lemonade Diet – First time master cleanse – The Lemonade and the Process. I have lemons and maple syrup left over, but it’s cool, I’m going to continue to drink the lemonade. I really like it. I remember in the beginning I was thinking, “Hmmmm, Interesting. I can drink this for 10 days, but it isn’t like any lemonade that I have ever had.” I made some and gave my friend a sip. He looked at me, “Hmmmm, Interesting.” LOL.

Does anyone know how to make the orange juice? Do I just juice the oranges and drink it or do I add water? How many glasses should I have? — Hopeless huh? LOL.

Congratulations for making it 10 days Melissa! In the book I read on the MC, you are suppose to drink straight fresh squeezed orange juice to break the cleanse. If this upsets your stomach then add water to dilute.

From my previous experience, the orange juice left me hungry. It is hard to drink enough calories in OJ to make up for the maple syrup, so I excelerated the process to solid food and I didn’t have issues. I’m sure that is very different for each person.

    Lemonade Diet – Day 10 –

I’ve waited so long to type that! and yet it’s super anti-climactic. I still have to finish this entire day. and then do 3 days of easing out. As many times as I’ve attempted and completed the master cleanse in the past, I’ll be honest, I’ve never done the full ease out exactly the way it’s suggested. I’m having a hard time wrapping my mind around it. Especially the full day of only orange juice. Where are all my vitamins and minerals? (from the maple syrup?) Where are my cleansing properties? (from the lemon) Where is my metabolism booster? (cayenne) I feel like a full day of OJ is just sugar sugar sugar, and a bit of fiber. The orange juice doesn’t even sound good. I also have never had negative effects of coming off the cleanse “incorrectly” in the past, so I’m not feeling like it’s as important as I should. NOT to mention, I also have this out of town trip this weekend that is totally screwing the ease off up.

We’ll see, I guess! I just hope I can make it through the rest of the day on lemonade. :/

    Lemonade Diet – Day 10 …

O my goodness, the last day!!!
I woke this morning to my 3 little lemons, Grade B Maple Syrup, Cayenne Pepper and filtered water – I took a photo of all of the ingredients and will make a blog/recollection of my experience in doing this cleanse.

As I cut my first lemon open, to make my last breakfast lemonade, I realised that I will actually miss this routine.

Throughout the day, I truly savoured the taste of each glass and felt the effect the Cayenne Pepper had on my body, as the warm sensation went through my stomach.

The day continued to my dinner and as I made my last meal, I raised my glass in the air and said to myself; “To my final Lemonade!” – Such an idiot hey?! I am sooo pleased I made it to the end.
    Well done me!

Until next time – and there WILL be a next time.

Here’s to Ease Out, Day 1.

Day 9 Lemonade Diet – First time master cleanse – The Lemonade and the Process. It’s been a difficult day. I made my three 32oz Nalgene bottles of lemonade and I messed up the mixture: too much lemon juice, not enough maple syrup, and too much cayenne pepper. I got down most of 1 bottle, but by 4:30pm I was hitting the wall. I went to my car and tried to water down one of the other bottles. And I managed to get that bottle down, but I was really fading fast. Again I was prepared, but I forgot the maple syrup again. WTF! I went down to the hospital’s cafeteria to see if I could score some maple syrup but it was not to be.

I’m going to make a go-kit for the car and keep it in the car. Hand juicer, maple syrup, measuring spoons, cayenne pepper, water, and Nalgene bottles.

Never assume that time will be what you expect it to be, especially when you are stepping out of yourself.

    Lemonade Diet – Day 9 –

WOW!!! Only one more day!! I need to review my Ease Out info. We are going out of town with my parents for the weekend and I know we’ll be eating out, etc (although my parents try to eat all organic, so the restaurants should at least be healthy) so I need to plan ahead on anything I should bring. Like orange juice!

The last couple days have been way easier than days 5, 6, and 7. I *almost* want to keep going just because I’ve gotten past the hard part! But I don’t really want to. I am so excited for tomorrow and having completed all 10 days!! 10 days!!!! I’m so stinkin proud of myself!!!

I could also add here, that I attempted P90X this morning for the first time ever. I’m not so sure that was a good idea! I got through 40 of the 60 minutes, almost passed out at 20 min – had a maple syrup shot and kept going. Then at 40 min my eyesight started getting wonky again and I tried more maple syrup but it wasn’t clearing up. I stumbled back into the living room trying to collapse onto the couch but didn’t make it! I landed on the floor. and just stayed there. lol. I’m not sure if I actually did black out for a moment or not, but it was sure close! I was WIPED! After awhile I started feeling better and thought maybe I could do the cool down with them, but pretty much by that time the video was done. Ha!!

      Kim,
according to anything I have read you do not do the tea at night on day 10 and you are done with the SWF the morning of Day 10. Tomorrow morning it is all oranges. Congratulations!
