Support Topic: The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Process and The Lemonade Diet for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

The Master Cleanse is a process. And it’s more than just making the lemonade diet drink each time you’re hungry. To successfully get through a protocol like this you need to consciously into a process, a routine so that you come to depend on what’s next. For example, first thing, SWF, next perhaps your normal morning routine, followed by the eliminations from the SWF. Once those start you can have your first lemonade. Maybe you want 4 lemonades by lunch, and 6 after. When is your peppermint tea break? Do you workout during the day? How do you manage work schedule? You get the point.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the process like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

    Ease-in day 2 3:00

I am using up the last of my veggies in my fridge right now with a big salad an veggie juice, otherwise my fridge is now emptied out, gave a few things to neighbours and everything else in the fridge will be preserved. I might start a batch of sauerkraut with some veggie to use up an have after the cleanse, yum. My tummy has been feeling weird ever since last night, I am looking forward to lemonade on Monday as I think my body will be ready.
I have to head to the store for the last time till after cleanse today, get my lemons, a little more cayenne as I realized I don’t have enough, an gonna price out syrup just in case I do need more. Oh an I am picking a angel card everyday an mine today is ‘Obedience’ which is so perfect;) yesterday’s was ‘Freedom’ also so perfect. Tomorrow i am gonna go for only orange juice, if I have some veggie juice left over from today I might drink that as I can’t waste, then I will, an by then hopefully my tummy will be all ready for MC on Monday;)

Ease In Day 2: Had soup and veg again today, now getting ready for freshly squeezed orange juices tomorrow. Went out and bought my oranges today along with some maple syrup and lemons. Wanted to ask is it okay to use bottled water in plastic bottles?

    Ease-In Day 2 9:15am

I feel great now that I have all my cleansing kit essentials (syrup, cayenne, water, measuring spoons). I still need to get the 1 liter containers for work and home for my lemonade mix. At the Whole Foods, BPA free containers and thermoses were between $20 and $30….I said what? Ain’t nobody got time for that!

So for this temporary juice fast, I will need to forgo the healthier option until I see those on sale somewhere.

I will also remind my boyfriend to get me those home grown (not certified organic but close enough) lemons from the lady he knows.

A couple of days ago I bought a voucher off LivingSocial for an organic veggie/fruit delivery service. Go figure. This is a company that grows food and delivers it to homes for about 1/3 of the price of any retail store I’ve seen. It seems they save a ton of money because they don’t have brick and mortar outlets and they pass on the savings to lucky folks like me. Boom! Total win…

    Ease-in day 1
Today I am drinking tea and sipping on a green drink most of the day, bought some mangoes to have today as a special treat, they turned out to be not so great, oh well bought some beautiful apples and pears and a bag of oranges for my ease-in day 3. I am juicing lots of veggies and greens, might have one salad today and a little veggie-miso soup that I have to finish up, it’s been my sustenance all week as I prepared with no processed foods, sugar, caffeine, wheat or dairy. Yesterday I ate last of my natural peanut butter to not have in house. I have my tea, salt, cayenne, maple syrup #3 and water will just need to grab organic lemons (expensive)tomorrow an I am set. My daughter is away with family, which is gonna help greatly with this cleanse. I am excited to be doing this with a community here on the web. Look forward to everyone’s shared experience. I’ll be focusing all weekend on positive thinking and planning for next 2weeks. Lots of sleep is what I remember from last one. I’m headin to yoga class tonight, a steam then a ‘jus dance’ event. Start meditation in morning.
All things I haven’t had “time” to do.
This is a time for me to not only focus on healing my body, but everything connected, body, mind, spirit. To wake up to the lifestyle that I really want. Happy healing everyone. May strength be within us all. Peace love.

      Ease-In Day 1

Hi Geraldine, it’s my first day also. I read on here that it’s best to juice your lemons right before drinking because the enzymes need to be active while you ingest them…I’m planning to have a second kit of tools handy for home and work to make my lemonade as fresh as possible. I will have my lemon squeezer, container (BPA free if possible), lemons, and smaller containers of cayenne and syrup for my work kit.

      Good luck!

It is best to juice fresh, but u can also make a concentrate with equal amounts lemon juice an maple syrup if u have to for the day and just take ur tablespoons to mix the drink with the water n cayenne. The maple syrup preserves the lemon juice. Whatever makes it easiest for u.

I might try that since I wasn’t looking forward to having to squeeze a bunch of lemons at work….thank you!

    Ease-In Day 1

I had to go to two different Whole Foods stores to find the Lemonade kit items. Oddly enough the toughest to find was the Organic Cayenne Pepper. At the first store the maple syrup cost $29.99 for a 32 oz bottle. My eyes bulged out of my head almost….sticker shock to say the least. I opted to buy the Organic Blue Agave at $9.99 for 44oz since the point of the sweetener is for calories and energy. I will see how that substitution goes. I also found the Celtic Sea Salt at the same store at $11.99.

At the second Whole Foods I found the Maple syrup for $10 less. I was glad but it’s still quite pricey – so the lesson is to shop around! The Cayenne Pepper was $5.99 for a 5 oz bottle.

My boyfriend said he would procure some home grown (organic?) lemonades from a lady he knows so I am glad to let him save me a bunch of money! Yay! Lemons at the store were .79 cents each. Ouch!

I snatched a couple of 5 gallon jugs from work and plan to fill those up with purified water for my lemonade. At the Whole Foods they also sell Reverse Osmosis and Ionized Water. I read on here that neither of these two are good for the purposes of de-tox so for now I will just go with regular filtered or purified water -which is better than tap water.

Pre-Cleanse. 1 Day till Group Cleanse

Since the Ease-In starts tomorrow, I wanted to read up again on the particulars of the SWF and Pure Water which I was still sketchy on. I finally found the right brand of Celtic Sea Salt by and a Whole Foods that carries it by doing an online search. Phew! I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find it.

I read Mike’s page on the Pure Water which was helpful – although it took reading someone else’s post and Mike’s simple response to it that helped me realize that simple bottled purified water is acceptable to use. I wish I had 1K to spend of a purification system but I do not. So onward. The whole point is to take out toxins without putting them back in.

The whole point of this Cleanse is to begin a slow process of awareness and making changes. We all have to go with what is accessible and financially feasible. Going organic will have to be a process for me as well, because although in California these healthier foods are available, much of them are still very expensive. But little by little, I hope to make the changes that will help me live a longer and more viable life.

Today is the day before my ease in of my master cleanse. I’m going to do some yoga and meditation followed by my last cup of coffee. Living foods will include fruits and vegetables and all natural peanut butter. I look forward to doing the master cleanse again. I’m excited and prepared for what will come. I plan to purchase my lemons tomorrow and have enough fruits and veggies to juice over the weekend. I feel awake and ready to take on the world! I’ve prepared my family for the draw backs that I experienced last time on the master cleanse, such as being tired earlier and being a little grumpy!

Today is Day 2 for me on the Master Cleanse, i was having issues figuring out how to register and make my comments everyday for the independent cleanser since i started a little early for the group cleanse. So far so good, this is my 3rd master cleanse, although it would be 4 or 5 but i had 2 failed attempts. I have been really tired in the beginning which i believe is normal for me… most of my hunger is psychological im sure. Anyway i guess thats all i got so far, nothing too interesting yet. oh I have had a little heartburn on day one and that has never happened before…
