Support Topic: The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Process and The Lemonade Diet for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

The Master Cleanse is a process. And it’s more than just making the lemonade diet drink each time you’re hungry. To successfully get through a protocol like this you need to consciously into a process, a routine so that you come to depend on what’s next. For example, first thing, SWF, next perhaps your normal morning routine, followed by the eliminations from the SWF. Once those start you can have your first lemonade. Maybe you want 4 lemonades by lunch, and 6 after. When is your peppermint tea break? Do you workout during the day? How do you manage work schedule? You get the point.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the process like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

Lemonade diet day one. This is my first time on the master cleanse, though I have done the salt water flush several times and tried the lemonade. I’ve had four cups so far, and while I’m hungry, I’m fine. I sat down to watch TV and fell asleep. Not much energy, but I am very determined to stick it out all ten days though my original plan was only three. It helps having a group to do it with.My husband has health issues and has no desire to do it with me.. My daughter says good luck with that. So far, so good.

Lemonade Diet Day 1 – I didn’t feel good after I drank my SWF this morning so I laid back down until I got myself out of bed around 1000am. I wasn’t hungry but I made my Lemonade drink. I am drinking 2 servings of the juice at a time, at a decent pace, but not hurrying to get it down. I used about 32 oz or 4 cups of water, 4 Tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice, 4 Tablespoons of the Maple Syrup and an estimate of 1/5 teaspoon of the cayenne.

I drank that while I was at an apointment over lunch time and came home hungry. I made a second drink (32 oz again) at 330 and drank that because I can’t stand when the cayenne steeps and warms up. It’s been about 2 hours since I finished it and I’m hungry. I’m off to drink some water and hope the hunger goes away because I have to make dinner for my kids. I have to be strong!

    Lemonade Diet Day 1

Feeling a little tired but other than that I feel good. This is the second time I am doing this cleanse. The first time went really well and I lost 20 pounds in 17 days. The problem is that I did not change my eating habits much after that and ended up putting on all the weight. I want 2013 to be a healthy year for me and I intend to work at that. I am looking forward to the results that I know are going to happen, to be cleaner from the inside out. Good luck to all of us on this journey.

    Lemonade Day 1

Last night I made sure I drank 1 liter of water before going to bed so I wouldn’t wake up with a headache from dehydration.

I was going to do one more day of Ease-In but decided I felt ready to hit the ground running today and start my lemonade phase. I had my first lemonade after I got up this morning. I needed to make sure I got that out of the way because Sergio and I always rush out pretty early.

I had that first lemonade at about 7:00am and a second one around 9:30am after feeling a bit hungry. I’m working on my third liter right now at 1:54pm. Last night I prepared my Agave nectar (subsitute for the maple syrup) and lemon juice concoction. I pre-mixed it because I wasn’t looking forward to squeezing lemons all day long. I often travel between offices and am quite mobile a good portion of the week for work.

My goal is to drink at least 1 gallon of lemonade/fluids per day and for me, it’s much easier in 1 liter increments. Having it be in lemonade form helps too. Plain water is just so….plain.

After my second liter of lemonade this morning, I had to do an emergency pit stop at a Jack in the Box. No –I didn’t get food–I just needed to use the facilities. Apparently cayenne pepper works fast! I’ve had three bowel movements already! I may or may not need to do the SWF/lax tea tonight. I will see how I feel.

Now in the afternoon I have consumed 3 drinks so far and am in my office and have premade two drinks just in case.

It actually tastes good to me and the cayenne pepper doesn’t bother me. This morning I was twitchy and couldn’t focus well but now I seem to be past that.

and its almost 2 PM in Denver so looking forward to a good work out today too.

Yeah! Starting 10-day cleanse today. I had tried a few times to start earlier, but that did not last but 1-3 days. This time in the group I’m gonna finish it again! I need to cleanse, no doubt about it. So far two lemonades and a Amazon Rainforest tea down. Today is also the first day of my new online school, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which will be live-changing, so I am very excited!

    Lemonade Diet Day 1

    Hello fellow cleansers!

Today begins our journey with the Master Cleanse. This will be my 2nd time on the diet. The 1st time went rally well for me, as I lost 15 pounds in 13 days. I have since then managed to keep the weight off through keeping up a healthy eating lifestyle. Being on the Master Cleanse really opened my eyes on just how much emotional eating I would do. The game is on? Tons of chips, Something great happened? Let’s celebrate with greasy food!..Had a rough day? I’m going drown my sorrows away with more junk food.

I feel this diet totally transforms a person’s mindset. Once you give a shot and see it’s all together not so bad and actually start to feel great, it makes you never want to put crappy processed food in your mouth again! So that’s why i’m here on this day giving it another whirl with you guys ;-)

I wish you guys all the luck and support, together we can surely do this!

    Cheers,
    RaF

    Lemonade diet day 1

So, good morning cleansers! Today is day 1 of the lemonade diet and its also the first day this year of snowfall where i live! I have to say if i wasnt well prepared with caffeine free tea id already have failed, its a bit chilly!

I pre-mixed my lemon and maple syrup last night and marked 250ml incriments on a 2ltr plastic bottle. Im carrying my water to work to encourage me to drink it and not need to carry it home! I have a second cayenne pepper that will live at work from now on too.

So, the first drink. This is my first cleanse i should add so not really sure what to expect! I actually like the lemon drink! When i was a child my mum made us honey and lemon drinks if we felt like a cold was coming on and it kind of reminds me of that!

‘Breakfast’ is done and i am aiming to drink up to five glasses at work then another two at home. I will be doing the SWF and the senna tea so thats quite a lot of liquid to intake for someone who really only drinks cups of tea and alcohol in the evening!

    Ease-in day 3 9:10pm

I had a bit of a rush out the door morning, which I was disappointed at but had to accept. Thank goodness I had some juice leftover from yesterday, I managed to make some tea, grab a jug of water n my juice an head out the door, made it to dance church, which is a beautiful studio with great people, great music and jusdancing:) I had to sit finish my tea an have a few moments to breath an listen to get into it. Was great to move my sore, tired body.
After that I went to get another maple syrup, more cayenne and oranges for the day. I came home and had the most amazing orange juice, yum, and have had a few since then. Mixed it up with a couple carrots I still had an a chunk of ginger, which I got for tea.
And water for me is a difficult one, I can’t seem to drink enough, it’s kinda crazy.
I’ve definitely been feeling hunger in my tummy today, an I am excited for lemon drinks tomorrow, I’ve always loved these drinks as my mom would make heated ones when we were sick as kids. I’m really interested to see how tomorrow goes at work. Goodnight and happy cleansing;)

    Ease-In Day 3 11:52am

I had bought a GE juicer with a gift card I got for Christmas. Thank goodness I bought that because I don’t know what I would have done this morning if I hadn’t planned ahead.

I could very easily go back to regular eating today – but with my mental preparation and having bought all my tools little by little over the past month, I needed to also set myself up for success. I needed to invest some money into this in order to motivate me further. Nothing in life is free…every worthwhile undertaking will require action.

I still need to get a one gallon jug of water to have with me at all times to remind myself that I need to drink at least that much everyday. It seems like a lot but it’s really not. I see my boyfriend drinking at least 1 or even 2 gallons of water a day and that’s one habit I need to get into but fast.
