Support Topic: The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Process and The Lemonade Diet for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

The Master Cleanse is a process. And it’s more than just making the lemonade diet drink each time you’re hungry. To successfully get through a protocol like this you need to consciously into a process, a routine so that you come to depend on what’s next. For example, first thing, SWF, next perhaps your normal morning routine, followed by the eliminations from the SWF. Once those start you can have your first lemonade. Maybe you want 4 lemonades by lunch, and 6 after. When is your peppermint tea break? Do you workout during the day? How do you manage work schedule? You get the point.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the process like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

The end of day 4…I am still satisfied with the lemonade but I think I may need to make more than 32 ounces. I usually make a 16 ounce bottle in the morning and another 16 ounce bottle in the evening after my workout but I seem to get really hungry in the afternoons I usually just drink a lot of water to kill the hunger pangs and that usually helps. The reason I don’t make a bottle in the afternoon is because I am at work and I don’t want to make the bottle ahead of time because the longer it sits the spicier it gets. I’ve considered adding some psyllium husk to my drink to make it more filling but I’m not sure how it would affect my cleanse.

Day 4 I’be been sweating in the night and hot flashing during the day. I thought that business was over for me. Also I have an enhanced sense of smell. I don’t like the smell of my husband or my son. Wow! Very strong! Yucko! I’m opening up the windows but it’s cold out. Tired tonight

The end of day 3…I made it!! This day wasn’t difficult for me at all. I only had like 32 ounces of the lemonade drink but that’s all that I really needed, once I drank a bottle this morning and a bottle after my workout I was satisfied. One of the other posters stated that if you let the lemonade sit it tastes different, I must agree. I let mine sit and it taste extra spicy. I have stopped eating the lemon (guilty) and now I just use the juice. I also look forward to the smooth move tea at night, it kinda signifies bedtime for me.

Just starting the cleanse again tomorrow. I tried a few days ago, and could not handle the work outs and the hunger. I am committed to doing this again. I have only done it for a few days in the past and got phenomenal results. Please tell me how you exercise and stay on the cleanse. I have to keep making the juice and keeping it handy.

I’m on day 3 of The Master Cleanse….but maybe I should just call tomorrow day 1, since I technically have had a few bites of things each day…I am STARVING!!!!!!!! I think spending so much time doing prep and coffee enemas (2 retention enemas, back to back, retaining for 20 mins each) is too much time to not take in any calories. Should I do the lemonade right AFTER the salt water flush that I drink, or should I wait until the salt water is completely voided? OR should I wait until the enemas are done, like I’ve been doing…obviously to get a better detox? On a good note: I feel great!!! NO side effects. I am just starving…it seems by about 3 or 4 pm I break down and eat something. Someone explain how I should handle this please. Oh, plus, I have had heartburn today, it’s just mild, but leaves me concerned. Thanks for any help.

Ahhhh Day 3 coming to a close! Hello fello cleansers! It’s very helpful to know I’m not alone in this process. I appreciate all of you and your comments. I always feel very vulnerable the first few days for fear that I’ll say forget it and do it another time…. Especially at dinner time. But I know that I want to get rid of my excess blubber and feel fantastic going into the upcoming holidays.
Today was a busy day and I had to pack myself lemonade ahead for the day. After the lemonade sits it never tastes that same anyhow It satisfied me along with some Kava tea to relax.

Day two…The lemonade has become something I look forward to. It is so darn good to me and it feels like I can feel the warmth in my tummy when I drink it. When I make it, I usually make two servings at a time so instead of 8 ounces I have 16 ounces handy. I drink it when I fell hunger and it helps out a lot, I don’t even think about food when I drink it. I need to read Stanley Burroughs book and see why he recommends making 8 ounces at a time. I wonder if it’s okay to eat the lemons or if I puree the lemons would it be okay to just use the whole lemon

The lemonade diet day one… It’s going pretty well. The lemonade is surprisingly satisfying it cuts my hunger pretty quick and gives me a boost of energy, and it tastes pretty good also! I had to cut my cayenne pepper back a bit, I believe that the cayenne pepper that I purchased was the really spicy kind. The maple syrup is DELICIOUS! I can’t wait to put some on some pancakes, look at me already thinking about food, lol. It gave me enough energy to work out. I usually fast once a year and it’s a little stricter than this fast, so I feel as long as I have the lemonade drink I will be okay, but time will tell.

Ease in day 1- I have read up on the master cleanse and have read a book on it also. However there are many books out there with different ease in ideas and with different menus for the three days prior to start, The resounding agreement is, if you want to have an easier go of this program than complete a three day ease in period. This is to get your stomach and mind in the proper place of not eating any solid food and ingesting only liquids. So this is what I did. The book I read instructed to drink large amts of water all day without any food and to eat a regular dinner. I did this without difficulty. It was a good day and it further made me psychologically ready and more anxious to get the process going. I know I am ready to do this process and today just reinforced it!!!!!!

My cravings have almost vanished, but with a glass of juice I am back on track. It sure feels nice to have my body cleansed…so good!

I did start my cycle over a week early this morning. About 9-10 days early. I suppose that is normal with all of the changes my body is going through…Does anybody know if this is something to be concerned about? I think it is most likely just my body adjusting.

I have one more day to go after this! I am so proud of myself. I’ve been watching youtube videos about other people’s process. Some have been encouraging and others have not. One video almost made me talk myself into cheating the process and adding other things..but I decided I just want to do it this standard way first, and do the complete process exactly how it is supposed to be done, so that I have something to compare it to if I decide to go a different route next time around.

For awhile there, I was wondering if it was just too ‘harsh.’ Even before I started this, the thought of all that lemon going into my system made me wonder if it was going to be harsh…it just sounded like it would. And I was also wondering about all the maple syrup. I usually do not use that much sweetener. And I do have a virus in my body that I know sugar feeds. I haven’t had any problems with it. Apparently the lemon counteracts the sweetness a little bit and balances things out. The more I get into this cleanse, the more it really makes sense for me. I feel the things being loosened up in my body, and the ingredients seem perfect. True, there were some harsh times that occurred with my emotions and such…but in reality they needed to be loosened and released. There wasn’t really going to be a pretty way about it. So I am glad that I got some rage out of my system. I’ve been singing and toning on my drive to work which takes 45 minutes one way, so I have expressed a lot through sound, which I believe is one of the vehicles emotions takes to leave the being and enter into the outside world.
I’m very grateful for this experience and I look forward to adopting a fresher lifestyle after this. Peace!

    Master Cleanse Day 7

I have been craving a lot of foods lately that I wouldn’t even normally eat, like dairy products. Cheese, fried eggs, ice cream. I don’t even like consuming those things. Perhaps it is a survival mechanism being triggered? Like ‘ get some nutrients into your body, fast!’ Having these kinds of cravings doesn’t make the ease out process seem any easier. I don’t want to drink juice and make green drinks! I want a tofu stir-fry right away! Of course I am not going to do that. But man oh man. It sure sounds good :-).

This is the first day I’ve actually gotten to be at home. I’ve had to pre-mix the lemon and maple the whole time to last anywhere from 5 to hours of activity. I am grateful that I have this time at home to mix up fresh juice every single time, to lounge, to write, to stretch…it is so nice to not be on the go.
