Support Topic: The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Process and The Lemonade Diet for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

The Master Cleanse is a process. And it’s more than just making the lemonade diet drink each time you’re hungry. To successfully get through a protocol like this you need to consciously into a process, a routine so that you come to depend on what’s next. For example, first thing, SWF, next perhaps your normal morning routine, followed by the eliminations from the SWF. Once those start you can have your first lemonade. Maybe you want 4 lemonades by lunch, and 6 after. When is your peppermint tea break? Do you workout during the day? How do you manage work schedule? You get the point.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the process like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

Hi I’ve tried starting the Master Cleanse for a few times but I always give in to food at around lunch time because I get extremely hungry :( I’m really motivated to try again, and I’ll be starting Day 1 tomorrow! Hope it works!

My Motto: “STAY STRONG SO YOU WONT HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN”

Day 1 was ok for me. The only times I get extremely hungry is when I smell food so during lunch hours I stay out of the kitchen and cafe here at work. I was tempted to quite twice, both times was when I smelled food (I sound like an animal lol ). “STAY STRONG SO YOU WON’T HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN”, & so I did. I was very proud of myself. I drank 6 glasses of lemonade tea through out the day and I drank the laxative tea right before bed.

Day 2 was hard! They say its the first couple of days that are the hardest, well that is true for me because any food/beverage advertisement I came across…tempted me. This morning was when I did the Salt Water Flush. The key for me was to just down it and get it over with, I finished about 75% of it. I felt very nauseous afterwards. I waited about 20 mins before I went to the bathroom. I didn’t drink any lemonade until about 11 because I felt so thirsty after the SWF, I just drank water all morning (which I believe should be perfectly fine), it actually helped me. I did cheat , I ate a couple cashew nuts but then immediately felt nauseous again after, this turned me off completely. I drank the laxative tea before bed.

Day 3- well its only 9am and I do not really have an appetite in the morning so it isnt until around lunch time that I will see if my cravings are still going to be as bad as yesterday. I’m definitely not eat cashew nuts again! lol I did do the Salt Water Flush again this morning, once again I felt nauseous afterwards, but its does its job “the flush”. I am currently drinking cold water right now, it soothes me for some reason after the flush. I am going to start the lemonade around 10/11. I will be drinking the tea again tonight.
A whole day left to go…Wish me luck!!

Master Cleanse end of day 10… Yay!!! I made it! I’m still using the method to make my lemonade. I’m just not drinking that much of it anymore. Today like yesterday I only drank one bottle. I don’t know I just wasn’t hungry today or maybe I just wasn’t hungry for the lemonade. I drank it for lunch and it satisfied me for a little while but then I found myself hungry again but I just ignored and it kind of just went away. I’m thinking about extending my fast for a few more days and I know that I must do better with drinking the lemonade for a better detox experience.

Master Cleanse end of day 9…I can feel myself tiring of the lemonade that or either I’m just not that hungry anymore. I only drank one bottle of the lemonade today. I just didn’t have a desire to have anymore. I know that the lemonade is important to the cleanse because it helps clean you out but I feel pretty clean already when I do my saltwater flushes I hardly see any fecal matter. Making the lemonade has almost become second nature to me, I make it as soon as I wake up. I haven’t changed the recipe I try to follow the diet to a “T” so I can know how it affects me and hopefully share my experiences with other potential cleansers.

Master Cleanse end of day 8…I’m still using the same formula to make my lemonade. I’m finding myself not drinking much of the lemonade as I did in the beginning. I now only drink it when I am on the brink of starvation. I think when I come off this diet the day I see lemonade it will be too soon lol, although I am thinking about recipes i can make such as cheese dip with cayenne pepper. It’s funny I think about food a lot. I was joking with my daughter That when I visit my friends pages on Facebook and look at their photos I spend a significant amount of time on their pictures of food lol. Sigh..8 down 2 to go.

I’m getting a little sick of the lemonade now. I’m finding if I make it a little sweeter it helps. It does satisfy me but I’m starting to obsess about food if I’m around anyone eating. I’m also drinking more water now. I also like to draw my water for the next lemonade mixture ahead of time. If it is a room temp It doesn’t make me feel so cold

Master Cleanse end of day 7…I didn’t really drink that much of the lemonade drink today. I think because I got a late start on my day. I also read a lot so my mind wasn’t really on food today. In fact I just drank my second bottle about an hour ago. I just make 16 ounces and chug it it makes me so full that I actually belch after drinking it. I really look forward to licking the spoon after I measure my maple syrup, YUM! I was wondering how it would taste if i mixed it with honey instead of maple syrup but after reading the master cleanse book. I see why it wouldn’t be wise, I guess there is a reason for everything.

The of Master Cleanse Day 6…I’m pretty much using the same process to make my lemonade drink. I still am trying to find a way to drink more of it, but it just seems to never be enough time which is a good thing considering that the end of this diet will be here sooner than I know and I can’t lie I can’t wait for it. I’m not planning on gorging on bad food or anything I just want to chew and have a variety. I did have to pick up more maple syrup and lemons from whole foods today and the lemons were actually on sale a whole 2.00 from last week (just wanted to tell someone). I also got my oranges for the upcoming Ease in day 1.

The end of cleanse day 4…I’m still using the same process to make my lemonade drink, except this morning I didn’t have time to drink my drink at home and I didn’t want it to be super spicy so I pre-made it but left the cayenne pepper out until I got to work and then I waited until I got hungry and added my cayenne pepper and chugged it down. I can’t sip it because it has become the high point of my day. I noticed myself looking at that bottle of lemonade like it was a three course meal.
