Support Topic: The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Process and The Lemonade Diet for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

The Master Cleanse is a process. And it’s more than just making the lemonade diet drink each time you’re hungry. To successfully get through a protocol like this you need to consciously into a process, a routine so that you come to depend on what’s next. For example, first thing, SWF, next perhaps your normal morning routine, followed by the eliminations from the SWF. Once those start you can have your first lemonade. Maybe you want 4 lemonades by lunch, and 6 after. When is your peppermint tea break? Do you workout during the day? How do you manage work schedule? You get the point.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the process like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

Day 8 has been a day of intermittent nausea. Like Jennifer, it did make me not want to eat, but I was kind of hoping at some point in the MC that I would start to feel good. Is that even possible for a first-time cleanser? I am thinking that this is getting old, and I will be glad to get through the next 2 days.

Like Mary, I’ll do fine until Day 10, but I’m ready for the Ease Out. I plan to do this again in May. I know they suggest 4 times a year. I’m aiming at only 3.

Jennifer- I think the comment in the email about “tomorrow you can start the ease-out”, was directed to those who were going to stop the cleanse after day 7- I figured that out after a few rereads.
As far as I understand it, we complete day 10 on Wednesday, Thursday is OJ day, Friday is juice and broth day and Saturday is eating fruits and raw veggie day.
I am not struggling with temptation and find myself in the zone so to speak. However, I have no desire to go past the 10 days. I enjoy food to much- the textures, flavors and cooking it to go any longer. Only 3 days to go…. and they will fly!

Today was by far the easiest. I think because I started the day puking (see post in Detox and SWF), and everytime I was even a little tempted to eat something, I was reminded of how Mike mentioned nausea if you eat food too soon after doing the cleanse. I did NOT want to feel that way again!

Question about easing out – do you complete day 10, or is day 10 the first day of easing out? The reason I ask is that the email I got today said “tomorrow you can tell yourself that tomorrow is your last day of the cleanse”. If I started on Monday, then Weds is day 10.

Thanks for any clarification! Gotta do it by the book!

I got that too, my understanding is that you complete Day 10. You can post that question on Facebook and they will answer. Let us know.

Day 7 has been challenging because I am definitely feeling hunger and I have had less energy. I made it through last night at the sports bar with only my lemonade. Today I think my stomach is growling even more than it has been so far. Making its shout out to the whales, I guess, with its own language. I took a nap hoping it would restore me. I dreamed I was buying a dress in a smaller size. My brain is remembering why I’m doing this even it I am feeling weak.

This afternoon is certainly better than this morning (story in detox). I spent yesterday coming up with weekly salad ideas that are attainable for me. Greens are easy. Added things are my challenge. I have made it to where I actually WANT a salad. I agree with Melinda. I am enjoying the smell of food but I don’t have to have it (at least immediately). I am watching football today. I think pharmaceutical commercials have replaced food commercials.

Melinda!- you are a trooper…. I love beer way to much to risk going to a pub! Proud of you !
Cathy- glad your dinner went well and your food play trick worked>
ALl is well with me…. just chugging lemonade away. It has been pretty hectic here as I am minding a friend’s puppy for the weekend. And if you are familiar with the per shaming photos and the one about the roomba….. well yup! That was my morning…..ugh. Took puppy out this morning and she still waited to come inside to do her business. Lucky she is so adorable. I hosed off the roomba and plan to leave it dry out for a month and hopefully it will work again…. otherwise I get to buy a new roomba I guess. I LOVE those things. They pick up all my dog/cat hair.

Day 6 is winding down, and I am at a sports bar with my husband and son on either side of me as we watch the football playoff game. They both had appetizers and dinner. I had lemonade. I am trying to focus on what I can enjoy even though I’m not eating. I’ve found that I can still enjoy the smell of food even when I’m not partaking of it. The waitress has asked me several times if I want anything, and I finally said I haven’t been feeling that great so I am giving my stomach a rest. Which is true, and she hasn’t asked since.

I don’t tempt myself that way! Sitting in my living room while my husband eats a sandwich is enough for me. Hope you were able to prove something to yourself. Glad you did so well.

My meeting last night went well. I didn’t think I needed to use the little trick (putting food on a plate and moving it around with your fork), but at the last minute, I did do that. Not one person noticed, and I just sipped my drink from the bottle I took.

I will only steep my tea for 3 minutes tonight. All is well.

Day 6- I have been making the lemon juice/maple syrup concentrate during the work week. It is nice to be able to make the the Lemonade fresh each time, I’ve been drinking it warm today. Also I realize all these lemon shells could be use to make a natural cleaner for my kitchen counters. I feel very proud to have gone through so much cayenne. I really like my lemonade spicy, yum.
