Group Cleanse Support Topic: Weight Loss and Physical Results

This page is a Support Topic Page for Weight Loss and Physical Results for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Weight Loss – Even though The Lemonade Diet is about so much more that weight loss, it is still an effective reduction diet. Weigh yourself each day. How much weight did you lose today? Are you happy or disappointing with the results? What were your expectations? Some people loose weight the day they start The Lemonade Diet. Some people don’t lose weight until well into the diet. Describe your daily experiences.

Physical – Talk about the way your body is reacting to the cleanse. Do you feel full of energy? Do you feel like you have a cold? Headaches on Day 2 but feeling great on day 8? Think about it, how do you feel today? Just pretend you are talking to your best friend and complaining about the hard parts and raving about the good.

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

Im on my way home from work, its 3:30 pm and i have three drinks left from my 8 that i have allocated myself daily.

Ahead lies the challenge of cooking for my family without giving in. As im a vegan i think ill cook meat for my other half and something cheesy for the kids so i wont be tempted to pinch a bit!

I doubt theres been any weight loss yet so this is a bit of a non post on that subject! Physically i feel fine, i felt a little light headed and dazed earlier but my work is so boring thats not an uncommon feeling! I think i have more energy than usual for the time of day, especially compared to last week, i felt very flat last week!

Im unsure if the evening will be more challenging than being at work, my usual snack times are mid morning at work and late evening at home watching a film.

    Ease-in day 3 @ 9:30

Wow it’s getting way past bedtime now, I wanna get up with lots of time for SWF and walking.
My body has been sleeping for years, an this cleanse is my mind-body-spirit cleanse an awakening. So I am going to feel all my time of not eating and thinking about eating with mind-body-classes.

Time, energy and $ has always stopped me, we’ll I am not gonna let it stop me no longer, I’m going with a Twoonie rule I’ve decided, as I’m a single workin mama, I feel that my donation of a Twoonie is what I can offer right now, an I went to 2 yoga classes an 2 jusdances this weekend an each paid a Twoonie at. Because there on special or it’s by donation.
I’m gonna head to a free meditation studio tomorrow evening(. Depending on how first cleanse day is going;))
I’m gonna wake this body up, as well as give it it’s necessary rest too:)
Which I’m off to bed way too late tonight, but I’m set for the morning, just gonna finish up journalling;)
    Happy healing everyone.

    Ease-In Day 3 11:58am

After my morning juice (carrot, apple and ginger) I invited Sergio (my bf) to take a walk with me. He loves to sleep in on weekends so here I am, writing my journal entries until we can go together.

I’m going to try to incorporate as much exercise as possible, even if it’s just a short walk, to help with my circulation and calorie-burn. I will have to take each day as it comes because I fear I may be in too much discomfort from the toxins getting flushed out of my fat cells to be able to exercise.

Sergio asked me yesterday if this cleanse is supposed to make me lose weight. I told him weight loss is one of the side effects (and am looking to lose about 20-30 lbs), but that the de-toxing is even more important for me.

I’m on day 7, and for me it has gone well but day 6 was hard, every food made my mouth water even stuff that i didn’t like. And i dream about food, but I have some back pain because not all the salt water is passing. And now i have gotten broken capillaries in my eyes on the same place on both like lines going towards my pupils, had anybody had this issue???

I’ve font know about the eyes, but I’ve read if u aren’t passing the salt water it may be because you need the salt, an to add a little bit more salt, it shouldn’t be harmful. Are you drinking the salt water all at once or in a 10min span slowly?

    Ease-In Day 2 9:27am

I’m sure I’m not physically any lighter since yesterday…LOL…but I feel mentally lighter because I’ve shed about a quarter of my anxiety about this cleanse since then.

I always tell my friends that when they have a problem, just use some common sense, logic and innate practicality and instincts and the mind will figure out the solution. So in that spirit, I try to:

    1. Remember my purpose for the cleanse
    2. Plan accordingly
    3. Share my experience on this forum
    4. Remember that I can do this

I’ve always used the above mind-trick in the past with other attempts at a healthier lifestyle. But some element was always missing. that resulted in my failure. As far as I can figure, the missing piece was timing.

By timing I mean: when the sum of your life has stacked up in such a way that you know you are at your peak. But you are not the only mountain on this graph, you are one of many folks “at their peak”. And when you compare where you stand, to how and where you envisioned you “would be” at your peak – and you know you are woefully living below those expectations. And as you move closer to inspect your situation you find that your current peak is in reality; just a flat line. You’ve moved not nearly as much as you thought you would be five or ten years ago. You’ve stayed in the same spot; afraid or unwilling to budge. You’ve cried “why me” so often that you hand yourself some cheese. Mmmm cheese.

So TIMING: I’m going at a snail’s pace and treading lightly while being kind and compassionate with myself for not being perfect.

    Ease-in day 2;)

Today was a pretty good day, didn’t get outside as much as I would like to have, to get my body an mind working.
My tummy has been feeling funny, had my smoothie this morning, tea and nice salad an veggie juice later in day. Went to yoga in the morning, and man is my body tired, just from not doing much physically in the last long time…I was buzzing around earlier and now that it is 7:35pm I could go to bed for the night right now. I’m feeling tired, my heads a little achey and I got super cold outside. Gonna drink some tea, have a warm bath, listen to music and go right to bed, I know I gotta be easy on myself with this cleanse.
My body weight today seems the same as I would imagine I’m not gonna see any drop till I start with the SWF and MC on Monday. I am hoping for lots of energy tomorrow to go to a meditation then dance church, outside time I’m hoping an the last of my preperations for the big day Monday;) happy cleansing everyone;) happy healing;)

    Ease-in day 1
This morning I weighed myself at 130. My goal is to lose a few pounds, not because I think I am over weight but because I know that I am out of shape, I’ve held on to weight that makes me uncomfortable in the waist area, I find I am usually tired and find excuses like “I don’t have time” to excersise and take care of my body fully. This is my chance to let all of the excuses go, the cleanse is to shed the unhealthy weight, and get into shape. I am planning to heal my body, mind and spirit, with yoga, steams, swimming, walking( will walk 30min to n from work start mon.) meditation, dance and laughing) ;)
I have chronic fatigue that seems to effect my life in negative effects, I am so tired that I tend to not get the energy even to talk myself into doing any sort of excersise. But that’s gonna change, I am going for the ten days but might go for more, depending on how it all feels.
Happy cleansing everyone and happy healing

    Ease-In Day 1

I started this process because I want to detoxify my body in preparation for pregnancy. I’m also quite a bit overweight so the doc said I should drop some lbs to be on the safe side. My plan was to drop at least 20-30 lbs before getting pregnant. That is the average weight gain during pregnancy and if I regain that, I at least won’t be too much over my current weight.

For now, I intend to do the fast for the 16 days (Ease-In, Lemonade, Ease-Out) but lately I’ve got it into my head that I could go longer if I can withstand it. I will cross that bridge when I get to it. I’m trying to not get too ambitious just yet (on this relatively easy day). We will see what I think when the headaches start kicking in…. :( :)

Pre-Cleanse. 1 Day till Group Cleanse

My boyfriend and I went on a weekend trip to the beach. We spent 3 days and two nights in paradise. Although I loved it, I felt really weighed down and sad that I didn’t feel physically capable of “letting go” like in the past. This has to do with my current weight-which is way to high to be healthy.

My boyfriend is thin. I am the opposite. Go figure. He loves the outdoors and I could tell he really enjoyed the time away from the city. We went to the beach and I took multiple pictures of him, which I love doing. I am in none of those pictures because I just don’t feel beautiful enough right now in comparison; he is very attractive. That’s the honest truth. It seems like he goes on our trips by himself according to the evidence–jaja.

At the beach, his crazy self stripped down (in freezing cold weather) and he went into the water. No way, not me. Not only due to the cold, but there’s no way I’m stripping off anything in public. Nope.

We also went on a hike. A real butt buster of trail at a state park, half of it was uphill. I was huffing and puffing and coughing and wheezing the entire time. But I am familiar with this pain. I know I can push myself up to and beyond my own limits. So I didn’t give up. My precious man didn’t go ahead of me like I asked him to; he was patient and it really made me love him more. Even though I felt bad for holding him back; he didn’t say a word about it and refused to go ahead each time I told him I’d catch up.

I planned this trip for him mostly. Because he had gone through an awful two weeks with family problems and I thought he needed to get away from all the stress. It served its purpose for him.

And it served to remind me how I really need this change, for me and no one else’s sake.

    Hello everyone!
I am on day 2 and the pain aches are insane. Is this normal? I feel like my muscle tissue is breaking down.
If anyone knows anything let me know! Thank you and good luck on the cleanse journey!
