Lemonade Diet – Day 10 – Time to Quit?

Posted on 25. Apr, 2009 by Mike in My Experience, The Master Cleanse

Day 10 is here, and you are feeling one of two things.

You either have had enough, and are SO EXCITED to start drinking orange juice that you couldn’t stand to think of doing it one more day. You are proud of yourself, but still, you’ve had enough. You are ready to call it a wrap and finalize your accomplishment. The Lemonade Diet is over, and you are ready for the Ease-out (and, frankly, would like to chew anything even vaguely edible ASAP).

Or you may be thinking – WOW, I feel great… and I am not sure that I am ready to quit (either because your body is giving your signs that you are not quite cleansed yet, or you are feeling pretty good, and while there is still weight to lose, you may as well keep up the pace). The question then becomes, when is it time to quit? When are you done the Lemonade Diet? When is it time to start the Ease-out?

It is time to quit the Lemonade Diet when you are ready to. It is a personal choice, but there are some signs that you can pay attention to:

1. Are you truly hungry? Hopefully, during this process, you might have begun to recognize what different types of hunger we can have. Your body can signal a physical need for energy – you are shaky, or light headed – so get some food in you in order to get your blood-sugar up. Your psychology might be telling you you’re hungry when you’re actually just bored. Your society might be telling you to eat because it’s that time of day, or season, or an event demands it. But then there is HUNGER. Your body needs long-term and full spectrum nutrition. You are lacking and you are in need. If you ever get to this point, you should begin the Ease-out immediately. It is time to quit the Lemonade Diet.

2. Your physical signals are starting, peaking, or diminishing. Your skin may break out, you may have headaches, your tongue might get white, you may be stuffed up and coughing up mucous, and your breath could stink. If these things are just starting or coming and going, that is a good thing; it’s likely you are cleansing and going through Healing Events. You should probably continue – unless you have genuine HUNGER, as related in item 1. If these events are peaking and you feel a breakthrough, KEEP going a few days – especially if you feel you are on a roll, and are experiencing a natural high. If you are through the events and feel you have no more cleansing to do, finish up and count yourself lucky. Your tongue might be pinker, your breath is healthy, your bowel movements are getting clear, and even your arm-pit sweat doesn’t seem to stink.

Well, this is day eight for me on the MC. I has been very hard but I am proud of myself for coming so far, I have not cheated once…not even ONCE! It really does test your will power! I am intending to do the ten days, I have come so far I am not giving up now! The hardest thing is when yo smell food, thats what smells so good! I feel pretty good right now, my tongue is getting less gross and my breath is not deathly anymore! Whooo! This has opened my mind to more of a healthy way of eating, if I see a Cheese Burger I feel like barfing! Its almost like your body can sense the foods that are bad for you and doesnt crave them anymore. I am craving healthy food, salads etc….funny because I never craved salads before! Well im starting from scratch and will maintain a very healthy diet after this. I can’t wait for Thursday! It keeps me going….well good luck everyone, you can do anything if you put your mind to it, remember it is a game of Golf- a game against yourself.
BEST OF LUCK and I will keep you updated!

Day 10!! and, the day is pretty much over.. (its 5 pm now)..

Mixed feelings – I feel so good that I know I can keep going.. but I am also looking forward to some vegetable soup on Sunday night.. and quinoa and steamed veggies for Monday’s dinner! :)

lots of energy! went for 30 mins on the treadmill and 15 mins on the bike last night..

that bump/growth is still in my throat.. doesn’t bother except it still feels like i have hair or something in my throat,my skin feels dry tho..

my neck pain hasn’t gone away, but its not as bad..

tongue is not fuzzy, but white/yellow..

my back is not sore, my skin looks great!,

eliminations are still murky, but not as dark as they were..

people have noticed that i’ve lost weight and that my skin looks good! :)

anyhoo, i just want to keep it up, but i doubt i will.. my bf told me he’ll forcefeed me if he has to.. i know he wouldn’t literally..

k.. enjoy all the benefits the cleanse has to offer everyone! :)

Hello evryone! Today is day 10 for me. I never, ever imagined that it would be this easy. I lost a total of 22 pounds. I can’t wait to start the ease-out process tomorrow. The only disappointment was that I didn’t get to witness long ropes coming out of my body (lol.) I did pass something though, on numerous occasions. I feel like a million bucks and I am sleeping better than I have in years. I wouldn’t hesitate to do this again. Good luck to everyone out there!

Tomorrow is day 10 and I am so excited. I intend to do my SW flush in the morning but is it necessary to drink the tea at night? I am assuming I can stop with the SW flush on the first day of orange juice.

It’s nice to hear someone else is struggling. I did the ease in for 2 days and today is my first day on the cleanse. I just want to go home to bed so today will be over. I still have so much to do today and it is going by so slowly. I know if I can make it past day 3 then I will be okay. My stomache feels gross from all the citrus and I have to make myself drink it. I don’t think I am so much hungry as I just want to eat. I love eating. I eat healthy but I love every bite I put into my system. I am doing this cleanse to get healthier and clean out all the crap I know I am holding onto. Here’s a quote I learned in school that is helping me continue “begin with the end in mind”. Good luck to you Safia.

this is day 2 for me. i’ve been trying to complete the cleanse for over 10 yrs. this is actually my first time making it past day 1 without cheating and convincing myself that i would start over “tomorrow”. I’ve been reading spiritual literature and being reminded of the need to control my thoughts..and no longer let my thoughts control me. Its really important to me, to not just lose weight but to also be healthy spiritually, physically and mentally. I really appreciate this site!! the encouragement is so necessary.

    thank u.
