The following page illustrates some recent posts on this day, Ease-In Day 2
@Paula Hicks
My kids love the orange juice day as do I, they beg me to make them my special orange drink, and all I do is put three oranges in a vita mix and then add a little bit of vanilla and ice and they go crazy over it. At first my teen daughter did not like the pulp but she is slowly coming around as she knows it is good for her. I just like the idea of drinking it real slow and actually “chewing my juice” is what I was taught many years ago- you have to take a drink of your juice and hold it in your cheeks and let it sink into the membranes to really get the flavor and vitamins soaked in really good. I will savor this day and look forward to it again in 10 days or more just in case my tongue does not turn pink- that is my goal for this time around to get all the toxins out. Good recipes and I will try them on the ease out!

Ease-in day 3 was pretty fun! I don’t typically eat or drink anything with sugar nor do I eat a lot of fruit, just not a sweets person, so at about 10pm last night I felt like I was on crack! OJ crack, and I only drank a liter and a half! The whole day of OJ and Maple Syrup did make me jittery, but actually uber productive; cleaning my whole apartment and even sealing all the cracks in my floor after working a full 8 hours! The good thing was that I wasn’t hungry throughout the day, didn’t have to worry about “dinner” cause I was too busy cleaning, and my smooth move was also sucessful after the juice (although waking me up at 3:30am). I’m interested to see what people think of the lemonade today!

Day three was alright for me but I was exceptionally hungry. My boyfriend eats a lot of fast food and though generally it is not appealing to me it was on day 3. Not just slightly appealing either but very appealing, I was so very tempted to forgo this badly timed cleanse and have a burger. I didn’t though so I count that as a battle won. I do love orange juice so getting to drink it which I don’t normally do since it has so many calories was fun. Also finally getting to play with my new citrus juicer was a blast! I had been looking forward to that part. I think it will come in handy at parties too for mixed drinks. I sure hope the hunger part fades soon though because the hunger and the cravings together are rough.
