    Just tuning in to the comment stream, figured I’d share my experience thus far :) I’m 19, and was CONSIDERABLY overweight my whole life. At 16, i was 5′3″ and 210 lbs :X
    I have lost considerable weight over the last 2 or so years through dance and a newfound awareness and desire to take care of my body. I now weigh around 150…nothin’ like doing it the hard way!
    I decided to cleanse because I felt like I was so toxic and full of physical waste, it was as though I had an extra internal organ! Lol!
    I watched my eating habits get gradually worse since the holidays and couldn’t stand it anymore. This has been an intense meditative exercise as I watch each desire and impulse rise and then pass by me. It’s making me cut way back on cigarettes via the same mentality. Greatly appreciated. I’m down to 1 cig a day, if that.
    I’m on day 5 after an ease-in of sorts (went about 3/4 liquid for 2 days before starting). The cravings have been intense. I’ve read about the nature of one’s cravings being related to the very foods you’re detoxing from…That would explain the dancing pizzas in my head >.<
    I screwed up and under-consumed on days 2 and 3, only drinking about 4 lemonades…valuable metabolic lesson learned! I'm back up to 6 a day and I feel soooo much better!
    I lost from 153 to 148 and then got back up to 149.8… not fretting over it, just observing. I gained when I under-consumed. HOWEVER, I feel much thinner in my lower abdomen- all over, really!
    I broke out, but hey I have some gnarly teenage skin so I'm hoping this will rectify that a little.
    I've had some fairly severe mood reactions… irritable, crabby, impatient…. I'm wondering if those eventually pass. I'm not usually like that.
    I work out as usual and am pretty active (Gym 1.5 hrs 2 days/week, Bellydance class 1.5hrs 2days/week, Rehearsal with my dance company 3hrs 2 days/week) but my muscles get tired faster. I've learned to work with and respect my body so that's not a huge problem. I've mostly kept the gym work to calisthenics.
    I can only eliminate via the SWF, which I take lukewarm and don't find terribly disagreeable.
    I'm wondering how long after the "final day" until chicken is ok.
    Do I need to repopulate my intestinal flora before having meat? What foods should I ABSOLUTELY avoid for the ease-out?

    Hello-
    I am currently on Day 4 of my first cleanse. (intense!)
    A couple of questions for you experts/regulars out there!
    1. I couldn’t find Grade B maple syrup so I had to go with Grade A dark organic syrup–will that affect my results?
    2. Why is 10 the recommended number of days? When I started I thought about only doing 7 days because a few things schedule-wise, but after reading everything here, I am wondering how detrimental that would be to my overall cleanse?
    3. As for the “cheat” teas– they can be any decaf. herbal tea right? (e.g. mint tea, decaf chai etc.)

    What happens if your taking the master cleanse diet but haven’t been drinking at least 6 cups. i haven’t been hungry so i haven’t been drinking as much. will it mess up my results?

    My husband and I are on Lemonade Diet Day 2. I am feeling great, but he has had a non-stop headache since the beginning. I’ve heard that a headache is common, but how long should we expect it to last? It is interferring with his job and I was wondering if he could take a painkiller or something that might help him. Thanks!

    hello =]
    My first day on the cleanse. i just did the salt water flush and am starting to feel the effects.
    i wont be able to drink my first 8 oz of lemonade until lunchtime becuase i still have to pick up some syrup from the grocery store. is this ok? also… is it alright to take vitamins during the cleanse? (im currently taking a womens active multivitamin, vitamin c, and vitamin b 12.) how about birth control?

    Hi,

    I am on Day 9 of the cleanse and I have a major rash all over my face. I am totally ready to quit after tomorrow, but I am scared or stopping mid-healing crisis. My tongue is still white. Any suggestions? Anyone else had the face rash issue? I have seen lots online but no definitive answers.

      Don’t be scared to either quit or about the rash. You can ride the rash out, or quit. It’s all good. It happens all the time. It will go by shortly. You have had rashes before I am sure. No need to panic then or now.

    Lemonade Diet Day 1– I’m just about to start the cleanse for the first time and I am wondering about the laxative tea– I do a 6 AM fitness class and I don’t want to risk missing it, or worse– having to run to the bathroom during the session. I have never drank laxative tea so I’m not sure what to expect if I drink it tonight. Ideally, I will drink the tea in the evening, wake up and workout, then return home and do the saltwater flush after dropping my daughter off at school around 9:00 AM. Does anyone have any advice for this first-timer?! Thanks!

    I am on my 2nd day of ease out and I am having cold and flu symptoms. I actually feel like I’m running a fever right now. Was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this? This is my 4th time doing the master cleanse and the last 2 times I did it I got a cold and flu like symptoms! Please help I was cleansing for 11 days and had to ease out because of this.

      Same thing happened to me after I was cleansing for about 2 weeks. I would get chills and feel crappy at night. Now I am just starting to get rid of my cold. I saw the doctor and she highly suggested taking a Vitamin C supplement because you were getting a lot of Vitamin C from the lemons and now you might not be getting enough so you are susceptible to getting sick. Also drink a lot of water. Hope this helps.

        thank you Krisy i appreciate it. I started back on my vitamins with probiotics today. hopefully it will help since i have been really healthy and have not been sick since August 2009.

    Hello!
    I’m currently breastfeeding and was wondering how a detox like this would affect that. I don’t know if this would be too extreme or if it would give me the calories needed to nourish myself and my daughter. I do have 10 lbs of “mommy fat” left from my pregnancy, fyi. Thanks!

      I really dont think you should do the cleanse whilst breastfeeding. Have you spoken to your GP about it?I think you should.
