I just finished the ease in and started today the day 1 of the lemonade. I also just found out I’m pregnant. Do I stop now? Is this cleanse a safe cleanse during pregnancy? I know others I’ve read are not.

I think you should stop the cleanse! I’ve not read it anywhere that its safe to detox whilst pregnant.

Thank you for your response. I did stop, and felt good just after the ease in with the living foods that I think I will do my best to stick to that until after this surprise, but welcomed pregnancy!

    Hi everyone!
I’m on day 17 and will be beginning the ease-out phase on Thursday. I’ve read that taking probiotics is a good idea while easing out, but I haven’t found any info regarding how long to take them and if they do in fact, make a difference. If anyone has any insight I’d really appreciate it!

Also, to those of you just beginning, you’ll do great, just hang in there and remember why you’re doing this! This was my first cleanse- my first 4 days I had a screaming headache and I was cold most of the time (more than usual…). I didn’t really start seeing results (that pink tongue!) until day 11. I feel really good now though and am so happy I did this! I plan on making it my New Years tradition, at the least.

Wow, 17 days! I’m on day 2 and just cannot even imagine that. Good job, and thanks for the inspiration! I must admit, my goal is really 5 days, but hopefully I’ll decide to go longer when Saturday rolls around.

I’m new here and just started the MC today. I have a couple of questions that I can’t find the answer to and would appreciate some help.
I’m using fresh lemons-does it hurt anything to eat the remaining pulp?
I also have purchased a bottle Oranic lemon juice from the health food store. I know fresh is best but I’ve not seen any posts about the organic bottled (ingredients: fresh organic lemons) Is is ok to use this?
I measured 1 capsule and it’s more than 1/10 tsp. I’ve been sprinkling 1 capsule in my lemonaide mix but is it ok if I decide to just take the capsule? and if so, Should I take it just prior to drinking the juice to give it time to dissolve?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Sandy

You should only use fresh lemon juice, bottled ones doesnt really have the enzymes and the nutrients that you need.

If you were referring to cayenne pepper capsules, sorry i have no idea. I used the powder.

I wouldnt eat the pulp, the whole idea of the detox diet is to give your digestive system a rest.

Hi – I was doing ok, on day 2 – but I cheated and had a bowl of pasta salad and some crackers. I feel terrible!! Has anybody else cheated, then started over? I was feeling good, not hungry, and had read that day 2 was one of the hardest days, but the craving was too much for me. Any advice?

I started the MC 3 days ago, but i cheated =( So i’m starting again tomorrow…

I’ve done the SWF each day, and it just comes out yellow…is that normal? as well, am i supposed to expect movements besides the SWF?

And…just to make sure…it’s a laxative at night and swf in the morning or vice versa everyday right?

My bowel movement was yellowish as well and other times black. But like Anna said in one of her Posts, the colour depends on whats inside you or something like that. I wouldnt worry too much about that,as long as its coming out.

The general advise is to drink the laxative at night and do the SWF first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. However, some people do the SWF at night.

I am on day 7, doing everything I was told to do on here, I drink so much lemonade I should be pooping lemons!!! Unfortunately the lemonade is doing nothing for my hunger and it’s so bad now that for the past 2 days I have shakes so bad I find it hard to do certain tasks at work (I work with horses). I also am so lightheaded that it affects the sight in my left eye. I had a temp of 85 today which is not good! I am SO hungry all the time, my tummy is constantly growling. Any suggestions?

I felt hungry as well whilst on the cleanse. What i did was increase the cayenne pepper. I also drank loads of water.

You should drink at least 6 glasses of lemonade and drink pure water in between. Make sure you also get enough rest.

Im on day 1 ease out and as i am writing this,i feel really hungry. I wish i could eat a proper meal. but i know i cant just yet.

Good luck and hang in there. You only have three more days to go!

Today is my first day doing the cleanse. Drinking the lemonade seemed ok at first, but as the day progressed, it got more and more difficult to drink. I just finished my 6th glass and I am so full. Don’t know how I will be able to drink the SWF tonight. I’m not hungry but I just want to eat something. My husband made dinner and it’s so hard to not eat anything. My question is can I take laxatives at night instead of drinking a liter of the SWF? If so, which ones are ok to take?

Any words of wisdom for Day 2 would also be appreciated.

As for food, you need to be strong and stay focus. Whilst on the cleanse, i was cooking for my family every single day. It wasnt easy or anything, but i knew i had to do the cleanse and cheating would just mess it up. As im writing this, im on day 1 easing out and i’m so hungry, i feel like eating a proper food, but i cant.

So just hang in there, take each day as it comes and you’ll be fine.

      Good luck.

Morning…I am now during the ease out after completing 15 days and 15 lbs weight loss. I am drinking my OJ diluted with water and maple syrup. I feel so good that I went through this process. Now, the real challenge I will face keep up with a healthier eating habits and exercising regularly. I will continue to do the smooth move tea and SWF periodically to move my bowel. Keep up with the good work all.

    ~lemonade diet day 9~
my life before the cleanse was eating pretty healthy and exercising 3-5 times a week. When I got a second job in November my schedule got all out of wack and I did not have the time or really the energy to exercise. My eating habits also fell by the wayside. Then add in all the treats around Christmas and that is a recipe for disater.

I decided to do the cleanse for a fresh start and to renew my attitude about my health. I was not over weight but a little jiggly. I am 5’4″ and weighed 148 when I began the cleanse. I had just put on those 5lbs over nov-dec. As of this morning I have lost 11lbs and I feel great. I have my meals and my excercise planned out. I do not want to put the weight back on or clog my self up again. I have a daughter who is almost 4 and i have been having problems going to the bathroom ever since I had her. I tried everyhthing else and I am hoping this will help. I took probiotics and drank green smoothies prior to this. So I am hoping with the master cleanse and the combination of my healthy habits I can get this problem taki
en care. I would like to go to the bathroom on a daily basis not every 4 days and having to take laxatives.

I am feeling very positive about the cleanse and i am excited to see the lasting results!

      Hi Lucy!

I’ve been cleansing for about four years now with the Master Cleanse and have also taken a more holistic and determined approach to my health and well-being for the last six years, but I recently had a major move in my life and have spent the last year adjusting to a TOTALLY new world. With all the adjustments I’ve really had hard time keeping up with my healthy habits.
So now I’m on day one of my gazillionth cleanse but I’m treating it like it’s my first ever cleanse so I can really focus on the process and not take the support available for granted.
Your post is VERY inspiring and open, and I am eager to get to that yummy, fresh, clear-headed feeling of day 9.
Keep up the good work and thanks for re-inspiring me.
I also have an inconsistent digestive system and sympathize with you. I do hope the cleanse helps!

        Hi Organic!

Thanks for the reply! I felt like I was talking to myself most of the time! I actually started out at 138lbs not 148lbs not that it is that important but I am down to 126 and i am so excited! I am drinking green smoothies all day today all though I would kill for a chopped salad from the resturaunt I work at!
I feel great and you will too! just take it one day at a time! I would tell myself I made it 4 days i can do day 5 everday until I finished!
Good Luck and let me know how it is going! I have a friend who started 2 days ago but is not on the site and I check in and see how she is doing daily! The support is a big help!

If you’re having problems with BM’s, try the yogic pose of bending at the knees and waist, with hands on knees, and sucking your gut up into your rib cage as much as possible. Relax and do this again 5-6 times. If this doesn’t work, (and it always does), try some sit-ups. Good luck and keep on truckin’. Fasting, or cleansing, is always easier if a person eases into it with more of a vegetarian diet. When we’re used to a heavy North American diet of meat and potatoes, as well as too much sugar and salt, we seem to never feel satiated until we get that heavy feeling in our guts. When the stomach shrinks in the first few days, this full feeling can be substituted by more fluids. A firm mental resolve to accomplish our goal helps immensely as well. When the system has cleansed itself to some degree, the mind/body connection will get stronger and we will listen to the body’s inner intelligence more. In this way, unnatural tastes will just fall by the wayside. Good luck.
