The Process and The Lemonade Diet
What is your process with the Master Cleanse and Lemonade
This page is the place for participants in the New Years Resolution Master Cleanse Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post.
If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?
Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.
Please provide 100 Words Each Day – Don’t worry that’s not that much. The paragraph below is 100 words..
What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the proccess like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

Ellen,
I hope the teas work well for you! I dont have any bowels except for early morning…after my tea and after the SWF! I want to start using the toilet more buttttt not anymore so far! I am just now about to take off…my friends are taking FOREVERRR! I am having some hunger pains but I am actually excited about them! LOL. That means more lemonade for me!

All this talk about toilets full of lemonade is giving me performance anxiety. :)
I went out and bought some laxative tea as I cannot handle the SWF tonight. If I am better tomorrow, I will do it in the morning.
Day 2 has been pretty rough. On the other hand, my stomach feels wonderfully light.
I’m jealous of all this talk of beach houses etc. Here in Chicago summer is till just a twinkle in a weatherman’s eye.
I went to the grocery store to pick up some tea and noticed that I while my mind was attracted to the food, physically, I felt repulsed by it.
I haven’t noticed an intensified sense of smell yet. I kind of hope this holds off as I volunteer at a (no-kill) animal shelter on weekends and it is kind of smelly in there anyways.
I’m glad others mentioned the weight loss benefits. When I started thinking about the master cleanse, I was mainly thinking about the weight loss aspect but then moved on to the whole reprogramming and cleansing aspect. What sealed the deal for me is how in the MC book, one patient’s ulcer is cured. I have a really hard time with my stomach, suffer from gastritis etc. quite frequently so no I am in MC 50% for weight loss and 50% for health benefits.
I’m glad many of you are already talking about how you are going to eat better after the MC. I need to stay straight after completing the cleanse as well and it is never too soon to have a plan.
So, there’s my Friday ramblings. I am in bed with trashy magazines, a cup of laxative tea and a hot watter bottle praying my headache goes away.
Have a good weekend, whatever you may be doing.

KATIE:
So you do your SWF at night?? I do the tea at night and the SWF in the morning.
A friend at work told me his granpa who live till he was 98 used to swim out into the ocean way out in the gulf (in the south) and bring back salt water to drink. He said he drank a gallon of it everyday! He also got into trouble for doing that (I forget the rest of the story)! I thought that was funny!
I think in cleaner oceans the salt water is best for you ON TOP of regular clean water that is. I find that pretty interesting.
Hey sugar ants need to cleanse too you know! (LOL) They were probably cleansing just like you! (LOL) Ants have protein too you know! ;-)

Haha I was thinking of saying ” a weekend full of lemonade and full toilets” but I held back! Atleast someone has my sense of humor! LOL. My mom gets mad at my sisters and I if we talk like that…she is so funny! I seriously love the cleanse. I really think your right when it comes to the %90 attitude and mind thing…I flew past the first 3 days (my 3rd day today!) I just am so focused on finishing and feeling better and more energetic! My joint pains went away thank goodness!!! I am looking forward to going to the bathroom tonight (lol) I can feel some heavy weighing in my stomach..I guess I really cleared some toxins out! I didnt do the SWF last night…I am going to probably try to do 6 cups of the salt water tonight…LOL…I wonder if I can just use real ocean water? JK that would be disgusting! The last time I did it there were sugar ants in my jug…why they wanted my SALT water? I am not sure?!?! Didnt notice till I was almost done…maybe it scared me and that is why I didnt do it last night! LOL

Yes, I am going to my family beach house with my son to be in a peaceful calming atmosphere! I am excited! I am going to lay out for a little bit too. My son loves the water so I am sure that we are going to take a dip in the ocean! That will be a nice work out! I am hoping that its not tempting for me to eat…at the beach house I tend to eat a lot when I am there…so this will be a change and challenge! But one im willing to take on! I will be coming back tomorrow evening probably so I will let yall know if anything crazy happens with my cleanse! Happy Friday!!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend full of lemonade and toilets! LOL.

Ha! I am the same with “over text-typing” (LOL) I gues so much is going through my brain! You gave good advice. I will look up that 20-30 pound diet out of curiosity. I plan on transitioning over to my raw (live) food diet after this. That really works for me and it keeps me straight much later down the road when I want to veer off a bit.
The muscle aches are a part of the process. Its a sign of the healing taking place. Did you see that LONG post I made from the facebook group which took the info from Wikipedia? It talks about old joint pains coming alive. I HATE cramps so I feel for you!!HANG IN THERE GIRL!
Susan:
I agree with Katie. Most would say you “broke” the fast the moment you had the broth, but having said that, most say you make this cleanse “your own” when you start it as everyone is different and everyone has different tolerance. Your 3rd day sounded horrible! But you are through it, congrats!!! Good job! “reset, regroup, refocus” I love that!! add to it: “regenerate, review, realign, reestablish and relearn”
I do believe the SWF is a step one should not skip as the tea has limits that only the SWF can bust through (so to speak). The SWF is an internal enema and the teas are not though they are necessary tools to unstick whats stuck, by themselves dont move that stuff out. Just the surface layers as it was explained to me.
Excercise is encouraged but by your own pace and as Katie mentioned: listen to your body. A nice long walk would do or perhaps half the time and half the intensity of your normal cardio. My beau did his thing in the canyon but was not able to do that the first couple of days. Im taking my hike at Griffith Park tomorrow morning (he has to work) and then off to a massage and hot sauna after. The beach on Sunday for a walk or hike and then off to Agape for a spiritual meditation in the evening after a movie. This experience is clearly what YOU make it. It only has to work for you and everything else are guidelines as it was said to me.
I do think some muscle loss in gonna happen regardless because of the process of ketosis. The science of the body dictates to eat away at muscle before fat. So it cant hurt to work the muscles to keep them strong and building during the process but I think at a pace thats comfortable, not one that will kill you.
I believe 90% of this is mental and emotional work. 10% is the physical transformation and transitioning process. It would be great if there was a support group like OA or NA for us to go to to talk out the feelings that “come up” when our drug of choice is taken away! There’s a shift in your emotional and spiritual makeup that takes place. We could call the group “MCA” (Master Cleanse Annoymous) LOL

Ellen-
Hang in there! That is a good sign believe it or not! The teas you can find at whole foods stores or normal grocery stores (at least in FL)! Take a nice bubble bath or massage your temples! Yeah, listen to your body dont push it or else you could fall of the wagon…just drink tea and water :) I experience a minor constant head ache through out the day today so I might have a big headache tomorrow like you have had today! Atleast its Friday! Hang in there! You can do it!!! Also, sometimes inhaling herbal medicine oils helps headaches…when you go to the wholefood store ask them about those! :)

hey Susan,
I was responding about your diet after the Cleanse. Just to share with you a diet that was healthy! I am doing the cleanse for both reasons…but I am not going to lie…I am a bit more excited about the weight loss part. But, that is not why I did it. By eating healthy and exercising prior to this I lost 12 pounds in 1 month! I hope that what I posted helps someone on here! If not, sorry! I tend to “text talk” a lot!
