easy out, day 6

Didn't take in nearly as many liquids as I should have today -- a big change to my routine the past 2 weeks and not a very good one. Will be sure to drink plenty of water this evening before bed.

Did, however, manage to make myself a large glass of clementine juice... words cannot describe how delicious it is. Unbeatable, I'm telling you! Before I moved to Europe I had never even heard of a clementine and now I am hooked on the things :) Really nice change from orange juice, anyway. Though I did buy a net of oranges as well (they were also on sale) and will have some freshly squeezed juice once the clementine juice has lost its appeal.

~ease out, day 5~

This morning's nutrition came in the form of 2 squeezed pink grapefruits (lots of pulp) chased with a medium sized glass of OJ. Yummy yums!
I've actually been finding fruit juice more than sufficient as a breakfast and haven't had any hunger pangs since coming off the cleanse (this is my 5th day on liquids... why is it so much easier for me than the lemonade, I wonder ??)

Clementines were on sale today *joy* so I bought 3 nets and am about to juice them for lunch. What a treat. I don't mind OJ but I prefer clementine juice because it's tangy and just.. different.

And there I was envying you, Stella! You've lost more weight than I have this time round. You've made progress and you ought to be so proud of yourself, woman!

I must admit my results on this last cleanse were nothing compared to the previous two. Those were the ones that really reset my tastes and helped me rid myself of the bad habits I had.

I know what you mean about feeling like you have to make up for the 10 days you "lost" (I often feel that way myself) but easy does it! I'm trying to take my extended ease out one day at a time and hopefully it will go beyond the 2 days I'm planning, even if I break the rules (which i probably will because that's the way I am) I'd like to see the fresh juice, water and raw veggies as the majority of my diet and solid or "bad" foods as the exception and see how that works out. Like trying to change my day to day decisions until it becomes habit :)

Ease out day 4

Anna seems to be doing ok and i cant help but envy her.

I started the day ok, had a fresh fruit smoothies with my probiotics for breakfast. A few hours later, i became really hungry and ended up having seeded wholegrain bagel with soup. So that's my extended liquid ease out down the drain!

My stomach is still very delicate, and the food took forever to digest again, i therefore had to take my medications to help with it.

I havent seen any improvements yet in my cravings and i still have my usual mood swings. i'm therefore guessing its early days right? Well, that the only logical explanation i can come up with.

Im thinking of trying colonic cleanse if that will help.

Congrats on your movement, Stella! Funny, the things we learn to feel grateful for. I know I'll certainly never take my digestion for granted again.

I’m enjoying the extended ease out and, strangely, not feeling like I’m missing anything or denying myself anything, like I felt throughout this last cleanse. Today I had OJ, diluted and some undiluted, and some grapefruit juice. For lunch and dinner I had vegetable broth with a few noodles in it. And of course I’ve been drinking water throughout the day. I got this really great 1-liter bottle with a handle (“chuggable” I suppose it’s called?) and for some reason I find it easier to drink more throughout the day when I put my water in it as opposed to drinking out of the bottle or a glass.

Ease out Day 3

I'm also not missing the lemonade at all. Not one bit! What I do miss, however, is the flat tummy I had while on the cleanse. Anyone else feeling that as well?

I don't really feel any discomfort after having eaten soup and had OJ with pulp, but I am starting to notice that the flatness in my tummy is going away. And the only solid I've had so far is a little bit of noodle and a handful of semolina grains mixed in with my clear veggie broth. Practically baby food level solids, easy to digest.

I'm really looking forward to my first post-cleanse B M, I'm not ashamed to say (OK, I am a *little* ashamed to say, but then again I'm a total prude when it comes to discussing bodily activities!)

Ease out day 3

Bridge, how did you feel after having the broth for dinner? did you feel very full and bloated?

I had a tomato soup (not smooth) for lunch. I felt bloated and very full afterwards.

Ease out Day 3

I'm confused myself because hunger was a bit of an issue for me during the cleanse and I thought I'd be super hungry once I changed from lemonade to orange juice (especially OJ with pulp) but my hunger-- proper hunger-- still has not returned.

I've also read so many different opinions about what is allowed on Day 2. Finally I decided to do a clear broth with easy to digest things (which I also spent a great deal of time researching) was "safe" and so I had it for dinner in the late afternoon of Day 2 to see how it would go. It's the morning of Day 3 now and still no sign of cramps or any feeling of sickness.

So I'll admit, I might have hurried the ease out a bit -- and always tend to do that -- but nowhere near as extremely as my last 2 cleanses, so I'm slowly getting better.

Ease Out Day 2:

I'm feeling pretty good overall! I did not miss the lemonade one bit! Yesterday, I squeezed 12 oranges, and no juice ever tasted more amazing. Last night, I made soup and let it sit in the Crock Pot overnight for my broth today...which was incredible! (Here's a link to my brand new food blog with the soup as my first recipe: http://puimcin.blogspot.com/ ). I had jasmine Tulsi tea this morning, and kept drinking water. I did buy organic juice rather than fresh squeezed juice because I'm just so sick of juicing.

I guess I sort of cheated tonight because I didn't strain the broth for dinner. It was just very mushy veggies, but it felt so good to eat something with substance. I'm so excited about raw food tomorrow!!!
