Weight Loss – Even though The Lemonade Diet is about so much more that weight loss, it is still an effective reduction diet. Weigh yourself each day. How much weight did you lose today? Are you happy or disappointing with the results? What were your expectations? Some people loose weight the day they start The Lemonade Diet.

Some people don’t lose weight until well into the diet. Describe your daily experiences.
Physical – Talk about the way your body is reacting to the cleanse. Do you feel full of energy? Do you feel like you have a cold? Headaches on Day 2 but feeling great on day 8? Think about it, how do you feel today? Just pretend you are talking to your best friend and complaining about the hard parts and raving about the good.

    I am on my 2nd day of ease out and I am having cold and flu symptoms. I actually feel like I’m running a fever right now. Was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this? This is my 4th time doing the master cleanse and the last 2 times I did it the I got a cold and flu like symptoms! Please help I was cleansing for 11 days and had to ease out because of this.

    Master Cleanse – day 9 :)

    so i was originally going to only do this cleanse til 10 days but because i love the results im seeing, im going to continue to stick to it for 14 days…

    i’m 5’6 and on day 1 i weighed 132 and this morning i weighed in at 123…and its not even just the weight….i can tell in my whole body….i have a FLAT stomach and my lovehandles are greatly reduced and i can also tell in my face as well…i love these results!!!

    Day one today I started the lemon aide diet and it’s kind of scary….normally I cook everything so this morning I proceeded to cook my BF breakfast which consisted of eggs and gravy and homemade biscuits I had the contents of diet….which was hard the night before did the latex thing to prepare for this morning of starting the diet…my goal is to lose 40 pounds I weigh 175. I’m starving right now….I’m 5’5 and hoping to continue after diet with diet and exercise like I am starting tomorrow. I read that a lot of people have had great results with this diet….my goal is the same…

    The Lemonade Diet – Day 8

    I’m calling bull on this whole “cleanse.” No one was more motivated than me to start this cleanse. I mentally prepared myself for weeks. I read and researched for hours each day. I set my start date. I bought all organic ingredients…even organic soap because I figured, “Why put toxins on my skin while trying to get them out?” I was ready to begin.

    I followed the cleanse exactly. Salt Water Flushes (yes, with uniodized sea salt) and the laxative tea just like the book says. I made my lemonade fresh. There is nothing I didn’t follow exactly. Heck, I even started running every morning for 20 minutes…something I haven’t done in years.

    I’m on day 8. I’ve had no solid bowel movements, only the watery stuff. My weight hasn’t budged in 4 days. I’ve only lost 5lbs total which is only water weight and will be gained right back regardless of how healthy a diet I maintain after the cleanse. Before anyone tells me that maybe I didn’t need to lose weight, yes, I need to lose weight. I could stand to lose about 40lbs.

    I know this cleanse isn’t about weight loss but we all know that weight loss is the motivating factor for almost everyone who starts this journey.

    Aside from the discouraging weight loss, I don’t feel all that much different. To be honest I think the new found energy I have is because I quit drinking a bottle of red wine every night and I quit smoking weed. Anyone would be energized after stopping those habits.

    I originally decided to do this cleanse for 21 days. I’m going to stick with it. I’m going to make it 21 days, then ease-out properly. However, I don’t get the hype. I hope at the end of 21 days I have to eat my words.

      PJ, it sounds like your expectations were a little off. You should tell us how much you weighed before, and what your lifestyle was like before. You’re movements will never be “Solid” mostly watery since you’re not eating solids. Solid matter loosens and dissolves. You might see smaller pieces of matter, but your first movement of the day should be mostly black –and there is your liquid waste. You will only lose the weight you need to. Then again you could be so toxic that your cleanse is just getting started.

      The running may be your problem!
      When calories are restricted but the calorie need is higher(ie increased activity such as running or any other aerobic activity), our bodies tend to go into starvation mode. This means you will use less of your stored fat than you normally would during physically strenuous acts when you are eating more. Thats why when you are on an exercise regimen, you have to increase the amount of calories you would normally eat in order to loose the weight. light exercise like walking or weights (which is what i plan on doing) should be enough .

    Morning of day 7 – I’m feeling pretty strong. Worst symptom is the COLD! I’m freezing. So far I’ve lost 6lbs. Feel a little frustrated by that, but I also feel like I’m retaining water. I feel like I’m absorbing salt from the SWF, even if I chase it with 32 oz of water about 45 minutes after. Any thoughts on how to avoid bloating from all the salt?

    DAY 8 (I actually had to think about that I thought it was day 7 for a sec and that seems like a great sign to me)

    DAY 8 and I feel GREATTTTTT!!!!
    This is above and beyone the BEST MC experience I have EVER had!!
    I’ve done tons of MC since jan 2007 (my longest was 12 days)
    but I’ve always approached fasting as a resting, quiet period, but this time around I’m on a tight schedule to get fit for a job as a pilates/yoga instructor at a very exclusive Spa, so along with the fast which I did mostly for mental reasons, I’ve been on a dilligent yoga/pilates schedule twice a day and just added in cardio (which is NOT my strong suit) in the mornings.

    BUT my comment really has to do with this carido stuff-I’m not sure if anyone else is amending their fast with excercise, bt since I haven’t really done any heart-rasing cardio for A LONG time, I decided to just keep it simple and do calasthetics-jogging in place, jumping jacks, knee-ups, squats) for 20 minutes before my morining yoga. But so far I’ve had really disturbing experiences. Yesterday I threw up cause I’d drank the SWF too soon before excercising-I couldn’t decided whether to do it before or after-and then today I woke up hungry so had a tea, then when i went for cardio at least an hr later, every time my heart rate went up to a nice, but minimal sweaty range I got horrible stomach burning thing, and it would only subside if i chilled out.

    It was so soo weird since the rest of my body felt wonderful from all the pilates and whatnot, and it never happens when I do that stuff. But I now realize if I ever want to lose my tummy flab I gotta burn calories the old fashioned way, and I really wanna keep it up, but these experience suck! Especially since I’m not doing anything special.

    Does anyone have any advice on this? Or possible explantions for my experience? Maybe it was the lemon, but what does that have to do with my heart rate?? Soooo confused…

    p,s but otherwise GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m pretty sure I’m gonna just keep solids out for most of feb as well, but you never know with these things… :)

    Hello everyone, my roommate and I began the master cleanse 3 days ago and haven’t cheated.. And I know it’s impatient to expect results already, but neither of us have lost weight… we’ve both GAINED a couple of pounds! Did this happen to anyone else/is it normal? And if anyone else encountered this, what were your end results? Hope to hear from someone-thanks in advance.

      Hey Katie,
      so sorry to hear that. That’s certainly not welcome news at all. While it sometimes happens that your weight will go up and down a bit while on the cleanse, I have never heard of someone putting on weight from the first day. How many lemonades are you drinking per day? How much maple syrup are you using? How much physical activity are you getting and how are you flushing the toxins in your system out? (Are you doing the SWF each morning or just the lax tea and are you having “eliminations” everyday?)

      While I do the MC to detox my system, I certainly expect weight loss to occur every time I do it. But each time is different. This last cleanse I just completed I only lost a little weight but I’m certainly looking and feeling more like myself at least.

    Ease out day 5

    I havent been on the scale for days now, but my clothes are still very loose.

    Im trying to eat less carbs and more fruits and veggies, so i should be ok for now, though i still get cravings.

    WOW. That’s excellent, Claire! Good for you!

    While I didn’t lose anywhere near as much as you and some other fellow cleaners did this time around, I’ve “released” the extra pounds I put on during the holidays and I intend to keep them off!

    I don’t know why it’s such a struggle to get below 55 kilos (or to stay under 57, for that matter) but the battle is not lost yet. I’m still determined to use this period to reset my thoughts and habits concerning food.

    When I return to solids I am going to try to have my last meal for the day before 5pm and only take liquids in the evening and see if that has any effect on my weight.

    Well I am on day 1 of the ease out and I have to thank everyone on here for their support and valuable advice. I was 147 lbs when I started and now I’m 134 lbs. It was hard, I admit but I stuck with it and the results are amazing. My clothes are too big for me now so I’m looking forward to a shopping spree!!! Anyone that has doubts, put your nose to the grindstone and have faith, it’s worth it.

      Hello, I haven’t started the MC yet bc I don’t really know how to do it……do you have to excercise or drink a certain amount a day….If I wanted, could I choose what areas to “not” lose? Please help me and give me some answers on this. Im sort of confused.
