Comment about Maple Syrup grades from http://deepmountainmaple.com/maple-facts-and-fictions
“Although we are very happy that Stanley Burroughs, the author of The Master Cleanse, recognized the health benefits of pure maple syrup, we are disappointed that Mr. Burroughs did not really understand how maple syrup is made. He recommended Grade B syrup because he assumed, probably due to its dark color and intense flavor, that it was less refined than other maple syrups. However, NO pure maple syrup is refined in any way whatsoever. ALL pure maple syrup contains many beneficial nutrients, including minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and iron. Traditionally, maple syrup is considered to be good for digestion and the circulatory system. It has fewer calories most other sweeteners and contains no fat at all.”

Lemonade diet day 5. It makes you hungry in the first 2-3 days, but after overcoming the initial hunger, the cleanse is doable, the weird thing is that I have this surge of energy and it makes my workouts in the gym more intense and exciting. My friends n coworkers notice a difference in my weight but I don’t see it. I bought the wrong grade maple syrup n my Sensei got me the correct one which has less sugar. Let’s not forget about the SWF, whoa talk about RUFF!!! but I love it I look forward to the bathroom because I know I’m getting a proper cleanse.
Can I use this cleanse for my sons ages 11 &9, I would reduce the amount prescribed for regular adults especially the saltwater flush. I’m excited because I have 5 more days to go, I might just continue it for another 4 days. Thank you ….. Excited chef.

    Lemonade diet day 3.
I want to know if storing the lemon juice and maple syrup in a stainless steel bottle is okay in room temperature and refrigerator. Will it last a whole day?
    Thanks.

      Hey siren,
Yes, that would work very well to preserve the enzymes in the lemon juice. It’s best not to store it in the fridge, though. Leave it at room temperature.

    Thanks.

I live in the Philippines and the only “syrup” available is for pancakes. These are made from corn syrups and lots of sugary additives. Maple syrups available for delivery only would cost 60-80 dollars a gallon.

Also, in supermarkets, lemons here are very expensive–3-4 pieces for 2-3 dollars (ridiculous!), which I reckon is because they are imported and none are locally grown here.

I didn’t bother checking how much a cayenne pepper was, though.

I live in a suburban area with limited means. This diet has simple but has very costly ingredients. This, however, will not stop me from forming my own “cleansing” diet.

Hi, why not think of sugar cane juice? I did my first cleanse with that…it is included in original recipe in the book as first prefernce. Best replacement for Maple syrup.
