The Master Cleanse is an experience like no other. Whether you are thinking about trying the Master Cleanse, or have already done it, you will want to either share your own experience or read the experience of others. That is what this website is about – sharing our true personal accounts, good or bad, of our experience with the Master Cleanse, so that others might also be encouraged to try it.

This book is a compilation of the most inspirational, supportive, funny and even disgusting details from real people, including myself. Framing the book is my approach to the Master Cleanse, and how both the website and book came to be.

The book covers each day of the typical Master Cleanse process, including a 3 day Ease-In, the 10 Day Lemonade Diet, the 3 Day Ease-Out as well as special and critical next steps, particularly Eating Wisely over subsequent days, weeks and months.

Further, comments are framed by the six categories seen below. You can click on each page to dig through the comments for yourself – there are thousands of them. The book is about collecting our favorites in a nicely formatted portable medium.

Using one of your 1 liter chuggables and your 1 tablespoon measure, mix a solution of sea salt and room temperature water. NOTE: There have been many questions about this process. Some claim it doesn’t work, but the fact is, it should for absolutely everyone: you may have to adjust the amount of salt, in order to create the right solution. Also make sure you only use sea salt, not iodized table salt.

Shake it well, and move to the sink. I like to “pound it” – perhaps because I like to pretend I am still in college, and the sea salt is actually a keg stand. I also move into the bathroom and in front of the mirror. By watching myself, I can somehow manage to drink the whole liter in one try, spilling very little. This is a challenge in itself, especially once your stomach has become very small from taking no solids. You may feel full halfway through, but if you can, just keep going. Stopping makes me taste the salt, which hits my gag reflex.

Each grade represents the amount of processing the syrup has gone through. Grade A is more refined and less useful. Grade B is better and Grade C better yet. However, Grade C is not easy to find and realistically, Grade B will usually be your best choice. Other grading systems, such as Grade 1, 2, or 3, may be used in different countries, but the concept is the same. Just ask your grocer which of the choices is the least refined. Store candy syrup like Aunt Jemima is not acceptable; it is just flavored, empty sugar with no nutritional benefits.
