Top Tips from our Master Cleanser Community over 100,000 strong:
1. Aid your detox with light exercise. Exercise is more than cardio to “burn fat”. It’s the literal meaning of the word “Move Your Body”. The process of moving your body stimulates every aspect of your body from digestion, elimination, lymph movement, breathing etc. –all of which contributes to the effectiveness of your body’s “repair” mode, eliminate waste and fat, quite literally with every breath.
2. Women tend to lose less weight than men. Just go with that. Don’t try to push the statistics in your favour. What you lose is what you lose. Fasting is cyclical, and sometimes you’ll lose more than others, because there is more at play than just weight loss, including cellular repair, and toxin mobilization.
3. This is a hard one, but do not weigh yourself (and especially no every day). Feedback is great, especially when visualizing your desired outcome, but too much of it leads to obsessive desire which can psychological and emotionally interrupt your detox. These obsessive thoughts are rooted in lack, and are as toxic as the physical body your cleansing. Practice the art of allowance, letting go and abundance and the weight will fall of faster.
4. Super-F.A.S.T. by using intervals in your fast routine. The Ease-In is a 3 day period of gradual removal of complex foods. You can make that 5 days or even 10. Likewise, the Ease-Out can linger on the “Juicing” segment, focusing on a 3 day Green Juice Fast. You can do 1 Short-Term Fast, then a Long-Term Fast, followed by a series of intermittent fasts. Each fast is just a period of conscious food selection
5. Don’t Starve Yourself. Unless your doing a pure water fast you’ll be consuming calories likely in liquid only form as is the case with the Juice Fast called The Master Cleanse. This is as much calorie restriction as it is fasting and the key is to find the balance where your body switches to “repair” mode which is usually around 1,000 calories give or take for men and women of all sizes.
6. Fast Frequently. Even Intermittently…. Fasting types. Fasting tools…
If you’re going to use a pre-bundled kit, make sure you get one with enough ingredients to last. Most are under-sized to consider the minimum servings of “food” each day, when in truth, you need to be closer to the average to find your perfect “repair” mode.
Founder of TheMasterCleanse.org Mike Olaski says more is less when it comes to serving size. His new line or kits are configured to the average serving size for maximum weight loss.
Is there anyone who doesn’t think by eating less you might lose more weight. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
The whole idea of “more is less” means that fa fasters shouldn’t think “less is more”. said Mike Olaski, author of Lose Weight “F.A.S.T.” –how to shed pounds quickly with fasting, who’s helped thousands of people lose on average 1 pound per day, and sometimes up to 2 pounds per day, all while using a method scientifically proven to be health and wellness supporting. The new line of Master Cleanse Kits provide enough ingredients for 10-21 Days.
Wayne Dyer (was) a Master Cleanser (rip), and if you listen to his interviews he gave (a series of 4 during his master cleanse experience), you see how amazed we has about the fasting process.
“I think what happens is the body; most of the spiritual practices that I’ve read about have recommended a periodic fasting like 1 day per week because our organs or cells get used to this idea that we’re always going to get used to giving them something to eat and usually its something that isn’t really the best thing for the organism. A lot of fructose and sugars and dairy things and so on. If you take a day or two each week and don’t put any food in there in the spiritual practices the theory there is it forces your organs and your cells and so on to go to work and do the work that they are designed to do in the first place. Its keeping your body from getting too lazy or too dependent on external things all the time”
The line is not just for Cleansers like Wayne. “Where as when you fast and your cells discover that you’re not giving them anything to eat they learn to be wiser and more economical and more active in order to survive on their reserves. When this is the case permutation is no longer the problem. If you never fast, you’re heading for a dangerous situation in the future; for your cells will become passive and lazy and weak.”
Its every commercial and you study these commercials and your sub-conscious mind is being programmed Im supposed to be eating greasy cheeseburgers with bacon. Then you wonder why we have an obesity crisis.
“There is this pressure in the media to constantly eat
But its a continuous message of getting us to collectively get us to become hypochondriacs and to get us to go to our doctors. The number of prescription drugs we’ve increased by like quadrupling it every couple of years because theres a lot of people making a lot of money off convincing us theres something wrong with us instead of looking within and saying “I came from perfect health. Im going to live a life of perfect health. Im going to get rid of the toxins in my body, Im going to exercise on a regular basis, Im going to eat foods that I know are healthy for me and I’ll be damned if Im going to allow a bunch of people making profits off of getting me to go to a doctor and ask for some more drugs and some more drugs and some more drugs.” End of rant.
The first day or two I though oh my God, I’ve got to have something to eat. Then I realized how much, because I’ve been watching the basketball playoffs and the TV is on, collectively I don’t know if we’ve thought about this Diane; the messages on our television screen and what they’re doing to us.
Theres so many pictures; when you don’t eat solid food for 10 days you start noticing all of things you’ll show you. The meat sizzling away and the cheese over the top and someone take a bite of this burrito and on and on. Its every commercial and you study these commercials and your sub-conscious mind is being programmed Im supposed to be eating greasy cheeseburgers with bacon. Then you wonder why we have an obesity crisis.
The other thing is you wonder why we’ve become such a nation of hypochondriacs. Virtually all day and all evening long during all of the commercial breaks we’re all being told what to think. How sick we are, to think that this is wrong, we have this blood disease, we’re impotent, we can’t see well, we have acid indigestion, we’ve got rheumatoid arthritis, go to your doctor.
If you understand the simple message that we become what we think about all day long and if were being conditioned all day long and being exposed to messages telling us how sick you are and whats wrong with you and you need to go to a doctor and you need to take a pill and this and have something else done for you. Its almost like theres a conspiracy out there of people who are making a fortune of convincing people that they’re hypochondriacs, that they have to be overweight, that they have to be sick. And theres no messages out there that say you can do anything, no one needs to take any pills; but they’re rare when they come out.
People need to be careful about what kind of conditioning you’re being exposed to on a regular basis, especially when you have that television set blaring away. And think about what it does to your children as well. I mentioned last week the USA Today story that by the year 2030 42% of Americans will be obese and 1 out of 3 will have diabetes. Thats the prediction for 2030, which is the year I turn 90.
The biggest problem with fasting and cleanses like The Master Cleanse is often the prep, and managing your lifestyle, at work, travel etc. Many people end up making large batches of lemonade, or juices at a time, which is a good idea on the surface, until you realize that the lifespan of the active ingredients like enzymes in these juices are extremely short.
That’s where these little jars come in handy. They come in various sizes, so you can make 1-shot/glass at a time, or make a concentration batch for the whole day. What makes these jars so important? Their ultraviolet light filtering, air-tight (the two biggest enzyme enemies which make them leak proof while preserving freshness, so you can chuck them in your gym bag, your work bag or the seat of your car when you’re in a hurry in the morning.
Best of all, all our Master Cleanse kits come with 1 shot size jar absolutely free. Need more? Don’t worry, you can get them in several sizes.
The jars come in identical ultraviolet dark glass that blocks visible light rays while selectively ALLOWING infrared and UV-A rays. They range from small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, to large enough to sit on your counter top and come with various shapes and lids to fit your needs.
The products come in identical chubby silver tubes that fit in the palm of your hand. There’s a sheer berry for cheeks, brow bone, eyes, lips, forehead and neck; a sheer iridescent champagne for the inner corner of the eye, cheekbones, shoulders, decollete; and an olive oil and beeswax moisturizer for lips, cuticles and around the eyes. They are $27 each and sold only on her website.
Judging by the photos and videos, Joseph, who recently turned 60, needs no makeup at all. She’s one of those Emmylou Harris beauties with lovely features, luminous skin and long silver hair, who spends just a few minutes a day on her face before she’s out the door.As women age, she says, looking fresh, rather than made up, is the key.
“The biggest makeup mistake that middle-aged women make is putting on too much under eye concealer,” she said. “At home, it might look OK, but in the daylight, it just looks like a bunch of gunk under your eyes. The older you get, the less makeup you should wear. It’s not a blank canvas anymore.”
After growing up in the Bay Area – Mission San Jose High School, Fremont, class of ’69 – she moved to Paris in the early ’80s and later to New York.
“I was a classic California flower child,” she says. “I went to Haight Ashbury on the weekends, the Fillmore West, the Avalon Ballroom. I was at the center of it all. People still ask me to this day: ‘Are you from San Francisco?’ ”
Joseph married young, had two kids and began her makeup artist career in San Francisco in the late ’70s, working for Macy’s, Esprit de Corp and others.
“I always had the smallest kit and the fewest products of any of my colleagues,” she remembers. She let her hair go gray in her late 40s, and just like that, she was spotted on a New York sidewalk by a scout for the fashion photographer Steven Miesel and has been a model ever since, featured in ads for Target, L.L. Bean, Dolce & Gabbana, DKNY, Olay, Nivea and others.
About a year ago, she went into the cosmetics business herself. “I’d done makeup for two decades and when I created this line, I created what I would want in my own kit,” she says. “I wanted to do a line that was not about hiding, but was about revealing.” The overall effect, she says, is a dewy, glowing face.
