Group Cleanse Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush (My Experience)

This page is a Support Topic Page for the Topic of Detox and The Salt Water Flush for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush

The Salt Water Flush (SWF) might be the hardest part of the Master Cleanse, but it doesn’t have to be. It is essential to the cleanse because it facilitates the detox by flushing your system. What is working and what is not working. How are your movements? Are they successful? What do they look like? Are they getting lighter or darker? Are the becoming more frequent? Do you have other signs of detoxing, like breakouts or white tongue? The Master Cleanse is about Detox and daily eliminations are critical to the success of the cleanse. Is this Detox Diet successful so far?

    Ease-Out – Day 2 …

Last night, I again had my magnesium Oxide and come 2pm, having yet again, no bowel movement, I decided to repeat yesterdays actions and do a SWF in the afternoon.

It was once again, extremely hard to do at this time of the day and took a lot longer than when I was drinking the lemonade to work, but it eventually did.
The process wasn’t as pleasant as other occasions and I realised that it’s probably not the best thing to do on a full stomach of food – So, come tomorrow, even if I haven’t had a bowel movement, I am not going to SWF – I am going to give my body a chance to act naturally.

Maybe the food needs to build in my stomach, before it expels anything.
    We shall see.

Today is therefore my final and last SWF – until my second journey :)

Ease Out Day 1 – First time master cleanse – Detox and the Saltwater Flush. So I drank the herbal tea tonight. I feel like I want to be consistent. I’m not really sure what the orange juice will do. I don’t know what to expect so I just thought that maybe it would be a good idea to stick with the tea. I don’t know what else to write. I don’t really have anything else to say about this. I did get some green tea which is a really nice addition to this process. I’m looking forward to broth and soup.

    Ease-Out – Day 1 …

When I woke this morning, I decided not to do the SWF – I still had the Magnesium Oxide the night before, so hope that my bowel would move itself.
Come 3pm though and a day full of Orange Juice, I still hadn’t had any movements. I tried a Herbal Green Tea, as I thought the heat might help, but nothing.
So, by 3:30pm, I was making my SWF.

Now, I have to say, after 10 days of doing morning SWF’s, this was by far my hardest attempt. For some reason, because I was doing it in the late afternoon, I really struggled getting all of it down as quickly as possible.
Not sure if it was because I had been drinking all day, but definitely the biggest challenge of my journey.

Eventually, after 5 mins it was done! I seriously had to lay down though, because if I thought I was full in the mornings before, this was a brand new experience.

It took 2 hours to work!!
The longest ever – but I am pleased to announce that it did work and I felt 120% better afterwards.
I didn’t think at the beginning of this Cleanse, that I would have to ‘wean’ myself off of SWF’s lol.

    Let’s see how tomorrow goes.

Day 10 Lemonade Diet – First time master cleanse – Detox and the Saltwater Flush. I did the saltwater flush and everything came out all right ;) and I drank my herbal tea about 20 minutes ago. Do I continue to drink the tea every night? Do I do the saltwater flush tomorrow? I just haven’t located that information yet. I think I would like to do 14 days next time. I don’t think I’m totally cleansed according to the e-mail, but 10 days is a great start. I and I can’t believe I did it! I won’t miss the saltwater flush, but looking back, it wasn’t that bad either.

    Lemonade Diet – Day 10 –

I did the salt water flush again today. The LAST one. I was very excited about that. I took it around 8:30, and needed to leave the house at 10:15… so I was a bit worried. I did bring extra clothes, but didn’t need them. I never did get a big rush of anything. I had some small bm’s throughout the morning. Never needed to rush too much. It was sort of strange for having done the swf. Usually it’s been a faster, more urgent, process. I forgot to lay down on my right side though – I wonder if that affected things at all?

    Lemonade Diet – Day 10 …

I woke earlier than ever to prepare my last mandatory SWF.
As I shook the bottle I thought to myself, “Will I actually miss this process?” – Well, to be honest, I loved the feeling of the SWF actually cleaning out your whole colon and as the process went on, the faster it had an effect on me. So, unless when I start back on solid foods, my bowel movements are regular and uncomplicated, then yes, I suppose I shall miss it.

I don’t plan on doing the SWF tomorrow morning, but we’ll see how I go.
I have never felt as clean and pure as I do right now, so am very pleased with myself for getting this mixture down me every day.
My bf simply couldn’t believe it. He tried to do it the once and said that I deserved a gold medal for continuing with it every day.

I’m looking forward to my oranges tomorrow.
I will drink plenty of water too, to ensure that I flush any fibre contained in the oranges through me. I shall also take my Magnesium Oxide as usual tonight to help me go to the toilet without the use of the SWF.

    Wish me luck.

Day 9 Lemonade Diet – First time master cleanse – Detox and the Saltwater Flush. No saltwater flush today. I did however have a movement thanks to the herbal tea, go figure. I will do the saltwater flush tomorrow, and exercise harder than I have in the past couple of days. I’m glad it will be my last saltwater flush. I will do the Master Cleanse again. But I will do a better job of creating a better environment for it. Perhaps going to the beach or something like that, for the whole length of the cleanse instead of trying to make it fit into my life.

Honor the process by giving it it’s own life that I will fit into and not the other way around.

    Lemonade Diet – Day 9 –

Well. This morning did not get off to the start it probably should have. A friend came over and he, hubby and I all did some P90X together. UGH. I didn’t have/make time to drink my tea before we started, and I certainly didn’t want to do the swf, so I missed my laxative today. :( Probably a bad move. I will be sure to do a massive SWF tomorrow! and drink my smooth move tea this evening.

You. Should. See. My. Foot. It looks amazing! It looks *almost* normal!! I can’t believe how much the cleanse is healing my dry, cracked, peeling, bleeding foot!! I almost wonder if it needs another day or two on the cleanse to completely heal, but we’ll see. I am just so sold on this lemonade now. It truly IS the Master Cleanse. I love that I was able to go thru this and feel like I have “evidence” that the cleanse really works.

As for the rash on my face, it continues to disappear as well. It’s almost completely gone too. I can still feels some bumps, but they are fewer and farther between now! I’ve used an exfoliating facial scrub on it the last two days and I think that’s helping.

    Lemonade Diet – Day 9 …

Over the past 5 days, I have been hand juicing my lemons.
I did start juicing them in the juicer, but I found that the taste was much more bitter than it is by hand juicing. It’s possibly because some of the white of the lemon is left on when you juice it, who knows :)

Today I decided to do the 2 Lemonades at a time again. As I said yesterday, I find that it fills me up much better than 1 every 2-3 hours does.
Also, having a sweet tooth, for some reason I find 4 tbsp of Maple Syrup in 500ml of water tastes sweeter than 2 tbsp in 250ml.

    The small things :)

Today is going to be a shorter post because I have an event to attend.
    Here’s to Day 10!!! Eeeekk…

Wrong thread – Damn! I’m rushing too much. I’ll copy this over to the Lemonade Process and comment on the SWF below this.
      Sorry.

        Lemonade Diet – Day 9 …

        Another easy SWF morning :)

I really do believe that this works so much better than taking only a laxative would.
I feel thoroughly cleansed every morning because of it.

I know some people have spoken about also taking psyllium husks.
They say it thoroughly brushes your colon through, but i’ve never tried it, does anyone know much about it?
However, for the purpose of what we are currently doing, I do believe the SWF will completely suffice.

I know I have asked this before, but is it worth continuing the SWF throughout our Ease-Out days? Should we stop to re-engage our natural elimination process?
I have read, I believe, as much as I can about the Ease-Out process, but no-where have I seen anything about discontinuing with the SWF.

Any advise on this would be highly appreciate.

    Lemonade Diet – Day 8 –

Yeah, I wimped out again today. Hello my lovely, delicious, delectable Smooth Move Tea! It’s just such a more welcome way to start my day than downing all that water and sea salt capsules. I haven’t decided yet if I will do the swf on days 9 and 10, or just 10. The smooth move tea worked again today, so that’s comforting. I did notice -just like yesterday- that it doesn’t work all at once like the swf however. I eliminated small amounts of waste all day instead of a whole bunch in the morning.

I do have THE BEST report to tell you about the detox factor! My foot has NOT peeled or cracked or bled in the last day or two!! It is looking so good! It really looks like it’s healing. I am just amazed. I feel like I had tried everything with that foot and nothing was working. Healing my foot was the main reason I did this cleanse and IT’S WORKING!!! I have no idea if 10 days will be enough to heal it completely, but I am so thrilled with the progress that I will do it again just for my foot if it looks like it’s ever happening again. Definitely!

AND, that rash on my face has not made itself visible from afar (Thank Goodness!) and it feels to me like it’s receding! It’s definitely still there, but WAY better than it was yesterday. I’m so happy about that!
