Gazing down the home stretch of the Lemonade Diet can be incredibly empowering. You can feel the momentum building towards the finish line, which at the same time can seem so far away.
“Those last few days were hard, I’ve got five more to go.”
“I’m getting in the zone, I feel like I can go forever.”
These are common sentiments as you approach the midpoint of the Lemonade Diet. Where are you in your process? Are you hitting your stride, or are you struggling? Have you experienced a breakthrough yet, or at least feel like you will soon? Is it still as hard as ever, or is it getting easier? It can seem a lot like breaking through the wall into the runner’s high, the feeling you get when an incredibly difficult activity begins to eases, sometimes bringing a kind of euphoria. There are few things better than that – the feeling of “I am doing it.”
This feeling isn’t guaranteed for everyone at this point; for some, it may arrive later. That isn’t to say that you are doing the Lemonade Diet wrong; we are all different. Many people who don’t reach that smooth-sailing point end up quitting, and thinking the whole process was hard – but worth it. It’s my belief that, had those people persevered, they might well have arrived. Then again, maybe not. Each person responds completely uniquely.
I hope you are over the worst of the physical and psychological hunger pangs that you experience early on, and are now able to use the routine to handle all the false social and psychological cues that are telling you you should be eating.
Day 5: I feel great! Excited about being at the half way point of this journey. I did Zumba this morning and all went well.
I am on Day 5 and feel amazing! Boot Camp 2 days this week!
SO this cleanse has been a breeze for me, no side effects, no intense hunger or temptations but its DAY 5 now and I feel terrible!! I’m not hungry but my stomach is hurting badly/diarrhea constantly, threw up this morning and almost fainted more than once while getting ready for work. I have no energy, i feel as if my brain is not at all sharp (it takes me a minute to get my point across because i can’t think of simple words!). I’m sad that i’m feeling this way halfway through because I really thought I was killing it before. I’m going to wait it out of course and see if things get better, crossing my fingers they do because this nausea/horrible stomach ache will get old soon.
I’m on day 5 , have lots of energy went to gym did intense circuit , no hunger at all . Day 4 was the worst day ever , I just hope the remaining days will be like today and day 3.
I’m on day 5 and I work up feeling so positive. On day 2 I almost quit as I woke up feeling so tired and weak. I was on my way to my friends house and had to push my daughter in her pram up hills which finished me! But as soon as I got to my friends house I had my lemonade drink and felt better. Weirdly, I feel cooking helps me. When I smell the food it makes me feel like I’m tasting it. Weird I know, but we are all different and our experiences are different. I’m looking forward to my healthy lifestyle afterwards and going back to the gym. I don’t do the swf only the tea which really works for me especially in the mornings. Try and nap when you feel tired or have a headache. 5 days to go!!! We can do it!!!
