Group Cleanse Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush (My Experience)

This page is a Support Topic Page for the Topic of Detox and The Salt Water Flush for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush

The Salt Water Flush (SWF) might be the hardest part of the Master Cleanse, but it doesn’t have to be. It is essential to the cleanse because it facilitates the detox by flushing your system. What is working and what is not working. How are your movements? Are they successful? What do they look like? Are they getting lighter or darker? Are the becoming more frequent? Do you have other signs of detoxing, like breakouts or white tongue? The Master Cleanse is about Detox and daily eliminations are critical to the success of the cleanse. Is this Detox Diet successful so far?

Master Cleanse end of day 7… I woke up later than normal this morning but I woken up by terrible stomach cramps. I sat on the toilet for at least an hour and this was before I even had a chance to drink the salt water flush. I think it was because of the laxative tea that drank last night before bed but since I always drink the saltwater upon awakening I hadn’t had the chance to experience that. It was not pleasant at all. I thought that since my BM wasn’t very much yesterday I thought I was through but I guess the lemonade drink loosens stuff up everyday. I did drink the saltwater to make sure everything was out. I’ve noticed that the saltwater is getting harder and harder to get down.

The Master Cleanse day 6…The saltwater flush was different this morning, since its Saturday I did my saltwater flush and laid on my right side for a few minutes. This morning though it took a little longer to see results. I laid on my side for a full 30 minutes without an immediate need to relieve myself and when I did it was no solid waste and the water was a light green and I had a lot of mucus come out instead of waste. I also went more times than normal this experience lasted almost an hour. I think my having less waste may be attributed to my colon becoming really clean. I’ll just wait and see what tomorrow morning holds

Master cleanse Day 5…The saltwater flush was little hard for me to do this morning I was having a hard time getting it down and my body just didn’t want it. I didn’t throw up or anything but it took me a longer time than usual to drink it. I wonder if I am taking in too much salt. I noticed that after my workout I had a large amount of salt deposits on my skin it was even in my scalp. It was thick and scaly and when I tasted it (yes I tasted it) it tasted exactly like the sea salt that I use on a regular basis but I think it was saltier. I’ve never had that much salt on my skin so I chalked it up to my increased salt intake, also when I worked out at the gym yesterday the sweat that dripped in my eyes burned intensely. I know that my body doesn’t absorb the salt but why is so much of it coming out when I work out?

Cleanse day 4….The saltwater flush is much easier to take when the water is a little more than warm, more like hot like the temperature of coffee or tea. This morning I did it a little different, after drinking the saltwater I laid on my right side like suggested. This elimination effects were different as well. My BM was less watery and very dark brown and looked very thick which was very different than yesterday. I think it was strange and wonderful, strange because I hadn’t eaten anything in 3 days, wonderful because I know that it must be all the old food that was trapped in my colon.

Saltwater flush day 3…The salt water flush did not have the same effect as it did the first and second time I did it. There was minimal elimination I’m assuming it is because I am really clean, I don’t know. I guess I’ll find out more in the morning. I know a lot people post their experiences about the salt water flush say that they have to go multiple times after drink the mixture I don’t have that same experience. I go one time 60 minutes after I drink the mixture. It is nice to know that I haven’t eaten anything in three days so that means whatever is coming out must have been in there for a long time.

Day two…This morning’s saltwater flush went well just like yesterday. I did notice a difference though in my BM’s. Yesterday it was very watery and brown, but today It was thicker even though I didn’t eat any solid food yesterday. And it was less, I was expecting more to come out. It had almost a sick smell to it. I only pooped the one time but I do feel cleaner on the inside. I think that I will continue the saltwater flush since I see all of the benefits that it has. Not to sound gross but I wonder what it will be like in the morning since I haven’t had solid food in two days.

It’s day 2 and this morning was my first SWF. It was not at all unpleasant for me as I do like my salt. It took a few gulps to get down. I think brushing my teeth first helped. I laid on my right side for 30 mins and I did use the loo but not as long as i had thought (hoped). It was mostly watery with a few lumps and very dark brown.
Hunger wise i am doing A LOT better than i thought. I did feel deprived yesterday at lunch time but i quickly saw that if i listened to my stomach i realised it was all in my head.
No headaches so far but boy am i cold.

This was my first time doing the saltwater flush, and OMG! I was not expecting the results that I experienced. I didn’t have a hard time getting the saltwater down in fact it was fairly easy. When they say that it would take 50-60 minutes to have a reaction that’s exactly how much time it took. I was nervous because I drank the mixture before leaving for work this morning and had a 35 minute drive to work, by the time I got to work I started experiencing the rumblings in my tummy. I was like, “Could this be it?!” I don’t know why I was so excited, I guess it was like a truth was being revealed coupled with the idea of getting all that gunk out of my system. For the sake of being groddy, let’s just say the results were extraordinary. I felt so light. I can’t wait until tomorrow.

I did the swf but I did not experience the same effect that I did in July, I really had to push myself to drink it but it had no effects. The only difference is that I did it last night around 7-8pm and during the summer I did it in the morning. Tomorrow I will make sure I do it first thing in the morning to see if the time I did the swf had something to do with its effects.
