Support Topic: The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Process and The Lemonade Diet for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

The Master Cleanse is a process. And it’s more than just making the lemonade diet drink each time you’re hungry. To successfully get through a protocol like this you need to consciously into a process, a routine so that you come to depend on what’s next. For example, first thing, SWF, next perhaps your normal morning routine, followed by the eliminations from the SWF. Once those start you can have your first lemonade. Maybe you want 4 lemonades by lunch, and 6 after. When is your peppermint tea break? Do you workout during the day? How do you manage work schedule? You get the point.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the process like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

I just found this page and happy to see that day 1 of the group cleanse is today as I am on the same schedule :) This is my 4th master cleanse. I have made a habit of easing in with a liver and gall bladder flush (The Amazing Liver and Gall Bladder Flush by Andreas Moritz) and am having excellent results with it this time – it truly is “amazing” to see what is expelled during the flush – very motivating to stay on track as I enter the cleanse. I’m psyched to start drinking lemonade today. My previous master cleanses have varied in terms of my mental state during it and ability to maintain a healthy diet afterwards. I’m feeling super motivated for this one and ready to shed toxins and pounds as this past year has been full of celebrations and epic weekends! I’m already beginning to feel a return of vital energy and looking forward to this process that I have found really skyrockets that!

For any first-timers on this group cleanse, I’d like to help ease any concern you may have over feeling hungry and weak. That was the thing that I was worried about when I embarked on my first cleanse and I found that it was not a problem at all!

Here we gooooooooo!!!!! Stay strong everyone!! <3

Ease-out Day 1 – I MADE iT!!! I Finished day 10 yesterday. It was extremely challenging because we had friends over to watch the NFC playoff games, complete with pizzas, chips, salad, candy, and alcohol. It was very tempting to just give I. To temptation. I really considered just sucking on a piece of cheesy bread just for the flavor! But I kept my resolve and stuck to my lemonade drink. Today I’ll start with fresh squeezed orange juice, and buy ingredients for tomorrow’s homemade vegetable broth. I lost a total of 10.3 lbs over the 10 day cleanse. Now I’m excited about the challenge of changing my eating habits and overall lifestyle to be more health conscious. One thing this cleanse has taught me is that I actually do gave the ability to say “no” to my cravings. I will very likely do this cleanse again in about 6 months or so. I’ve recommended it to several people and am happy to share my experiences and success with it.

I’m on my third day of the master cleanse (first timer). I haven’t noticed any special stuff excreted during my movements, like mucuos or any visible toxins from my system. Am I doing something wrong?

      Myles,
I seem to be on about the same schedule as you are. I haven’t noticed anything special yet either, so I would assume we are okay and that we just need to keep going strong!

Ease in Day 1 – I have just ordered the things that i will need. The only thing I have to buy now is organic lemons but I will buy them locally (living in Brighton, UK). I have ordered Natural Tree Syrup – http://www.amazon.co.uk/Madal-Bal-Natural-Tree-Syrup/dp/B002NWEIEW

Has anyone used this before? Is it okay/good? What are the pros/cons in comparison to regular maple syrup? Is it the right grade?

Have also ordered organic cayenne pepper and smooth move tea.
Looking forward to beginning. Was going to keep going until I get to my ideal weight which is from 120-100. I am 5ft3.

Please let me know your thoughts on all this everyone! Thanks :)

Day 7 – my hands have been especially cold. I can’t seem to keep my fingers warm without grasping a cup of hot water. I don’t know if that has to do with the cleanse. While making my kids’ lunches, I thought about licking the peanut butter off the knife, but stopped myself. I’m really looking forward to having solid foods with flavors. I hope I can avoid going back to my old eating and snacking habits–it’s going to be extremely challenging. But I don’t want this 10 day cleanse to have been wasted. I’m down a total of 7.8 lbs so far.

Day 6 – got through it! I only had 5 lemonade drinks today. I also developed the white film on my tongue on day 4 which kinda bugs me. But glad to be one day closer to finishing the cleanse. Found recipes for homemade vegetable stock and veggie soup in preparation for day 2 of the ease out process. Down a total of 6.5 lbs as of this morning. Woo-Hoo!!!

Day 5 – finished my first day back at work. Started the day by skipping the salt water flush, but the prior night’s herbal tea did the trick. The salt water flush is more effective, but I didn’t want to take chances being away from a bathroom during my 60 minute commute. As of this morning I’m down a total 5 pounds. The lemonade kept me satiated and my work kept my mind off cravings. I’m glad to have made it passed the midpoint and looking forward to being on the downside of this. I want to make sure to ease off properly, but concerned about letting my food cravings get the best of me. Any suggestions on how to transition to vegetarian after the cleanse would be appreciated!

If you want to eat healthy after your cleansing do the following:

      1) Watch “Forks over Knifes” Documentary about how the North American diet is killing us and what to do about it. By real doctors and real scientist. It’s on Netflix and just about everywhere else.

      2) For really delicious and healty recipes try http://ohsheglows.com & http://cookieandkate.com

      3) Start ready blogs on health to keep your resolution. https://www.drmcdougall.com

Basically, you can have your cake and eat it too! Have delicious, nutritious meal that fill you up, give you energy and not gain weight.

All the best and keep it up!

I just started the master cleanse Jan 1, 2015. So far so good. My least favorite part is the salt water flush BLECHHHH!!! I like the lemonade drink, it’s tasty. But I only seem to get 5 glasses down throughout the day. The hunger pangs have eased up some. Things will probably get more difficult after I return to work on Jan 5. I find it helps reading everyone’s entries so I’ll try to update my progress regularly. Keep strong, you’re not alone in this!!!
