Support Topic: The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Process and The Lemonade Diet for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

The Master Cleanse is a process. And it’s more than just making the lemonade diet drink each time you’re hungry. To successfully get through a protocol like this you need to consciously into a process, a routine so that you come to depend on what’s next. For example, first thing, SWF, next perhaps your normal morning routine, followed by the eliminations from the SWF. Once those start you can have your first lemonade. Maybe you want 4 lemonades by lunch, and 6 after. When is your peppermint tea break? Do you workout during the day? How do you manage work schedule? You get the point.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the process like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

Ease Out Day 1: All I really know is that I was suppose to make orange juice for today. I bought about 14 naval oranges and blended them in the blender last night and had my bottles all ready to go for today. I really was not sure if i was suppose to blending the whole thing, or juicing it so I did what was easiest at the time. The were very pulpy, which I didn’t mind so much, it was the bitterness that kind of got me. I drank half a liter just the way it was before I decided to add the maple syrup to it, which helped out a lot. I had a cup of the lemonade today which was very refreshing, I was missing it. I wasn’t thrilled about drinking the orange juice but managed to drink about two liters. I decided to add water to the second liter and that made it quicker going down. I’m glad I don’t have to drink that much tomorrow!

The Master Cleanse Day 10: Knowing today was my last day for the salt water flush, I was really looking forward to doing it. I feel it was for me a “let’s see what will come out today for the last time until I do it again”. I find i make it to about the last four ounces and I drink as much as I can before calling it quits around two ounces. I just love using a straw, it really really helps me. I drank yesterdays salt water that I had prepared and didn’t drink. It was cold and my first time drinking it that way, and I didn’t care for it that cold and would prefer it more room temperature or warmer. Also for the first time today, I made my lemonade with cold water and really enjoyed it that way. I found it super refreshing and would prefer it over most cold drinks. I still like the lemonade to be warm though, as it warms up my always cold body!

MC – Day 7 I found a Lemon Ginger Probiotic Tea by Bigelow a couple days ago and I’ve been using a cup of that in the morning to help replace my bacterial flora. It’s helping with the white tongue” syndrome. I wish I found it sooner because I would have been using it everyday. during the cleanse.

My boyfriend accidentally bought me Meyer lemons which are more of a cross between a lemon and an orange. The lemonade wasn’t as acidic which was nice. It was actually quite good and I had it on day 5 and 6 but I’m back on organic lemons.now

I’m still using the encapsulated cayenne but I limit it to 3 times a day. I feel sometimes the capsule bursts and I get a really uncomfortable burn but it’s quickly alleviated with a glass of water or lemonade. I don’t know if I should be doing it this way but I hate the cayenne in my drink.

I have 3 days to go. I’m so looking forward to that OJ. You guys on the group cleanse – Shop for your oranges today! You made it! :D

3rd day. Big mistake! Took my daughter to the park briefly and went to car wash. Had only water! Got a call, friend birthday ! Go super market (torture)to buy them some steak and 2 beer cases .When o got to the beach no parking, my daughter sleeping and everyone in the water, no one answer I got hungry and want to pee! Rush back home, chug 2 servings and take another 2 for the road! Even if brief leave, always have some lemonade with you. A small traffic disturbance can make your life miserable!

The Master Cleanse Day 9: For some reason I skipped the salt water flush today. I found myself very hungry and I wanted my drink immediately upon waking up. It felt good to skip it but I also felt somewhat guilty about missing it, like I had short changed my body or something. It felt good to have everything I needed for my day. I looked into the ease out phase and got pretty excited for that. I thought I would be more excited to ease out, and I am, I guess I’m just eager to have a meal! I will miss the syrup, my favorite part of the cleanse. I’ve had as much syrup in ten days than I did for a good part of my childhood, that seems so funny to me!

The Master Cleanse Day 8: Back to work after the weekend and I find I prefer to be at work while on the cleanse. It works better for me there, maybe because it’s something else to do while i work, but really it’s an easier routine there than it is at home. I found I definitely drink more lemonades at work than I did at home this past weekend, which could be why I was hungrier yesterday. I drank one after the other today it was great, especially on these cold New England days. I plan on not going back to coffee and instead replacing it with the hot water with cayenne and lemon when the cleanse is over. It seems I just enjoy a warm beverage after all.

The Master Cleanse Day 7: I started my day off with no lemons, so the first thing I had to do was run to the store for lemons, which I grabbed a bunch to last me through the week. I had to skip the salt water flush because we had an early morning vet appointment for our dog and there was no way I was going to leave the house doing that. After how I felt yesterday, I was okay not doing the flush. We got home late last night and I knew I wasn’t going to be doing the SWF so I made sure I had my smooth move tea before bed. I was near sleeping but made sure I had it to ensure I had a BM in the morning and I did, it works great. Everyday I make each of my drinks fresh and am glad that I have this capability. We didn’t go anywhere to watch football, but I spent a good amount of time thinking of all the kinds of foods that would be at peoples houses if we were to go there. I’ve been making my husband food and as much as I’d like to sneak a taste or a bite, I would never.

The Master Cleanse Day 6: The salt water flush kind of got in the way of my Saturday morning likings, like walking the dogs, going for what was once a coffee ride first thing in the morning with my husband. I was also suppose to go skiing with my cousin but that wasn’t happening either. I did not want to miss out on is part of the flush so it was decision I was happy making but really would have loved to enjoy my morning. I ran out of lemons this evening and will be needing to run out first thing tomorrow morning. I may run out of syrup too, since I bought a smaller bottle last night hoping it would last me though the weekend until I got everything back that I had left at work. Other than that, everything went pretty good today.

Master cleanse day 2 – Today went okay. I feel pretty clear headed. I’m not stressing about the fact that I haven’t eaten anything solid in 4 days. No signs of illness from the detox other than having the blahs and of course Flo doesn’t help with that. Got home from work today not feeling nearly as muscle achy as I normally do. I’m just taking it one day at a time. Tomorrow I plan to do some housecleaning I just hope I don’t run out of energy from the cleanse.
