Support Topic: The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Process and The Lemonade Diet for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

The Master Cleanse is a process. And it’s more than just making the lemonade diet drink each time you’re hungry. To successfully get through a protocol like this you need to consciously into a process, a routine so that you come to depend on what’s next. For example, first thing, SWF, next perhaps your normal morning routine, followed by the eliminations from the SWF. Once those start you can have your first lemonade. Maybe you want 4 lemonades by lunch, and 6 after. When is your peppermint tea break? Do you workout during the day? How do you manage work schedule? You get the point.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the process like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

I didn’t post anything here for day #9 – didn’t really have a lot to say except that I was able to transport my lemonade across the state yesterday as I drove! I was worried that I would run out, but two water bottles and a nalgene bottle later I had the rest of my gallon for the day!

Day #10 – I had two lemons left this morning, so I made a whole gallon of lemonade. I don’t think I will get through it all today (I am working nights again, but will go lie down in a bit). I am trying to decide if I want to just ditch the rest in the AM or drink it until I get home and then switch to orange juice. Does it really matter?

Day 10 I am glad to be finished with the lemonade. It wasn’t bad tasting, but I feel like I am definitely ready for more variety. I bought oranges to make my juice for tomorrow. Today I have felt nauseous off and on. I don’t know why I am nauseous at this point. Seems like I should be feeling good by now.

Last day!!! YIPEEE. I enjoyed this but have zero desire to go further! My husband is thinking about doing it this summer! YAY. I will do it with him then too.

Deb- I started my veggie broth in the slow cooker- basically use whatever veggies you have in the fridge ( I used some carrot, broccoli, celery, Kolrabi, cabbage and a potato – add and onion, 3-4 cloves crushed garlic, a few T olive oil, bay leave and whatever other herbs you like. I like to do mine in the crock pot. It comes out really good!

Tomorrow I will shop for some juicing veggie…. My 2 fav recipes for juicing are:
1 orange, 1 lemon, bag of spinach, 2 small or 1 lge apple ( usually granny smith)
    or
1 orange, 1-2 beets (depending on size) wedge of ginger & tumeric, 6 carrots. Yummy!!!!
If I don’t have those in stock I just use whatever sounds good from the fridge!

    Day 10 finally!
I like the lemonade but I’m getting tired of it. Looking forward to OJ tomorrow. Does anyone have broth recipes for day 2 of the ease-out? Just cook veggies and drink the liquid?

Food is smelling good. Lots of packing today. Having to take stock of the fridge. Wasn’t expecting that! Husband wanted beef/barley soup for lunch. My sniffer is working great.

Day 9. It helped me to power through today knowing that tomorrow is Day 10. Tonight I am going to a NHL game and my husband and son will be eating there. In the hockey arena there will be many food items and food smells. I’ve made it this long so I’m pretty sure I will make it through tonight without sabotaging my cleanse. I am going to enjoy the smells of food and then remind myself I am there to watch hockey.

Day 9! I had a bath with epsom salts and rose petals last night. I had to raise my vibration before the day ended. I was just ready for yesterday to be over. Today I am feeling good about 2 more days on this thing and then oranges. My father in-law has an orange tree so I am picking them and going to juice them on Thursday!
I ran out of cayenne pepper yesterday morning so picked up a different brand of it at the store yesterday… yuck! I had no idea that cayenne pepper would be different form brand to brand. Going back to day to pick up the original one I used and liked :)

Day 8- This morning I went back to the concentrate mix and I noticed the difference in flavor. It is a very slight difference. i would describe it as a duller taste. When it is prepared fresh each glass you can tastes the complexity. The lemons then the sweetness and a final spice at the end. With the mix it all happens at the same time, with a twinge of spice.
I am ready to get back to eating bright beautiful veggies and fruits. I look forward to having an avocado and carrot on multi-grain sandwich on Sunday.

Day #8 – I am with all of you, getting ready for the ease out! Today I let my ice melt a bit and refilled my glass before it was totally empty. This helped a lot with the heartburn symptoms, but cut down on the amount of lemonade I drank. Still feel ok, not too hungry, and no heartburn!

Some of our friends went to Applebee’s and invited us to go with. I had just a moment when I thought “oooo, a burger!” But they went without us and returned to say that the burgers weren’t really that great. That somehow made me feel good!
