Group Cleanse Support Topic: Weight Loss and Physical Results

This page is a Support Topic Page for Weight Loss and Physical Results for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Weight Loss – Even though The Lemonade Diet is about so much more that weight loss, it is still an effective reduction diet. Weigh yourself each day. How much weight did you lose today? Are you happy or disappointing with the results? What were your expectations? Some people loose weight the day they start The Lemonade Diet. Some people don’t lose weight until well into the diet. Describe your daily experiences.

Physical – Talk about the way your body is reacting to the cleanse. Do you feel full of energy? Do you feel like you have a cold? Headaches on Day 2 but feeling great on day 8? Think about it, how do you feel today? Just pretend you are talking to your best friend and complaining about the hard parts and raving about the good.

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

Still not stepping on the scale. In fact I just pushed it aside with my foot getting into the bath today. It’s tempting but I think I can resist until after the cleanse. What I have been doing is research into healthy diets and healthy food. Foods that boost metabolism and foods that help with weight loss. I watched the film Vegucated about 3 people from different backgrounds who went vegan for 6 weeks to lose weight and improve health. I hadn’t finished it because I had to get ready for work but I’m looking forward to finishing and seeing how the film participants feel at the end of their experience.

The Master Cleanse Day 5: I weighed myself first thing this morning, as I have been and discover I had gained .6 pounds. I found this unusual but didn’t mind either way, I’m still happy to be down. I did try to wrap my brain as to why though and all I could think of that I did differently was that I had done the salt water flush for the first time and that I was probably retaining fluids. So today I upped my intake of regular water as well as the lemonade and I’ll just have to wait and see if that was enough to do the trick tomorrow. As much as I am thrilled about weight loss, I’m even more thrilled to be cleansing, which is why I’m here. I was looking up pictures of parasites that people get rid of with cleansing and was wondering if anyone has experienced anything like that? It so gross and yet so fascinating! If there is anything like that in me, I hope they expel themselves! I’m not interested in hosting their existence! Other than that, I’m feeling well and energetic these days!

Day 6 MC- 9 lbs down! ! So excited. .the key for me is only weighing myself every ither day Im probably drinking about 6-8 16 oz glasses a day some with 2 tbsp maple syrup some with less. I’ve been able to increase my cayenee intake to 1/2 tsp. I definitely think this has helped. Last night day 5 was my first day doing the laxative tea…I’ve done the saltwater flush everyday but yesterday. I lost 2.2 lbs when I added the lacative but cant imagine that every night. I was up 3am and still up at 5:36am. One thing for sure this is so doable. I never in my 32 years of life imagined I would have so much self control. Not 1 single cheat. I have also played volleyball 2 times and didn’t pass out. .. just made a double maple syurp drink before I played and had more ready for after! I will not that I am no where near as tired wake up quick and easy and pass out as soon as I decide to sleep…havent been avle to go to bed without watching tv for at least 2 hours for as long as I can remeber…this is a game changer! So excited to see my results at the end.

Congratulations!!!! When you find your will power within you it can take you anywhere you want to go! Don’t’ you feel like you just want to keep going because of how awesome you feel and then you realize what food does to you and your energy. You gave a perfect example with the tv watching and how long you’re staying up! that’s great. I like to read at night, but find myself tired within 20 minute and going to bed usually…not this week, I can stay up all night it seems, eager to turn the page! This is a great knowing! Good job, keep up the good work!

The Master Cleanse Day 4: I woke up feeling a little more tired than yesterday but still got up an hour earlier than I normally do, which is great. At night I find myself not feeling as tired when I get home which is the opposite of how I am not on the cleanse. My energy stays very consistent throughout the day and there is no slump in my day whatsoever. My focus was on point today and I feel accomplished to get everything done, especially things I’ve been procrastinating about. Yesterday I was having a lot of unusual back pain but today it seems to of gotten better. One of the major things I’ve noticed is I no longer feel the symptoms of carpel tunnel, which I feel almost every morning. Paying attention to your body is huge, and by doing this cleanse I’m already starting to feel the changes. I weigh myself in the morning and today I was down 1.6 pounds for a total of 5 pounds in four days. Im now looking forward to weighing myself and that’s a huge thing for me. I love results!

Master Cleanse – Day 1 – Not weighing myself today. I was a little shocked to see I was 185 but then getting my menstrual flow today I figure 5lbs of that was probably bloat. But still this is the heaviest I’ve ever been outside of pregnancy. I myself thought I was 20lbs lighter than I actually am and that was a bit disappointing. I’m dealing but I still refuse to be a scale worshiper during this cleanse. In fact I made myself a promise to only read the scale every ten days through this entire dietary reboot process.

Ease-in Day 3 – My main purpose of this cleanse is to detox not lose weight. You really can’t do a fast like this and expect the weight loss to stick for very long especially if you go back to your old eating habits.

The main thing I’m trying to do is curb my sugar addiction. Personally I think refined sugar is more addictive than crack cocaine and it is very very hard to avoid since about every beverage and packaged food contains it. And don’t get me started on artificial sweeteners – something I’ve always avoided.

I weighed myself today and I am at 185lbs. I won’t be back at the scale again until day 1 of the ease out.

After that I plan to continue on with a juice fast for another 10 days before returning to solid food. The next 20 days I was considering raw and paleo but I was not too pleased with Day 1’s live food diet so I think instead I will go vegan for 20 days after the juice fast, no gluten, no dairy, no meat and absolutely no processed foods and at the same time start a daily low impact exercise routine. After 40 days I will go back to my omnivorous diet but I will be counting calories and exercising to get down the 50lbs I need to lose. By then hopefully it will only be about 15 to 20.

The Master Cleanse Day 3: Today I woke up wanting to run out of bed full of energy and it felt so good to feel good after how I felt yesterday. I was up two hours before my alarm clock was suppose to go off, ready to start my day. This was awesome, although very early in the morning. I laid in bed and decided to read, happy with the concentration I had, I thought I’d take advantage of this nice quiet time first thing. Before taking my shower I was thrilled to see that I was down 2.4 pounds from yesterday, and this only added to my energetic mood! I’m excited to see what I will have lost come day ten. The smooth move tea works well and having to go to the bathroom is what gets me out of bed because of it. I have yet to do the salt water flush, and was surprised I went to the bathroom three times today! I had a different bathroom experience around lunch time…my bowel movement was black in color sitting at the bottom and across the entire top of the water looked like a light brown film that covered every the entire top of water. It was gross and so cool at the same time. I loved seeing this stuff come out of me. I noticed my tongue being white today and I could taste this gross taste in my mouth, almost like metal or something. I brushed it so hard at work and it took work to try to get it off, which I did with some success. I love knowing I’m detoxing and these physical symptoms are a sure sign it’s happening, hooray!

The Master Cleanse Day 2: Today I woke up with a dull headache and my body felt too weak to get out of bed. My mind felt awake and alert though so before I got out of bed I meditated for 15 minutes to mentally ignore my physical feelings and discomfort before I had to get ready for work. It felt calming and relaxing but the weakness was still present. I found it trying to stand up while I took my shower and when I blew my hair dry, it took a lot of energy out of me, but I managed. Before getting dressed I weighed myself and lost exactly one pound from yesterday! This was exciting to me, especially after my big surprise of finding out what I weighed yesterday! A fact I’ve been ignoring for months now as I ate pretty much anything I wanted leading to the cleanse…and the scale was the proof. I am not one to weigh myself hardly ever, but plan on it doing it everyday for the cleanse. I plan on having a new relationship with my scale during this process, a relationship without fear, disappointment or avoidance!

Master cleanse Day 2 – newbie
I have been avoiding weighting myself. I have been on a dieting up and down for so many years that I have decided that this year I want to focus on getting fit rather then losing weight.
I have been training for about 6 weeks and getting fitter but been sick for 2 weeks with a virus so now not on track for my fitness goal. So I am doing this to restore my body to health. I did weight myself today 107kg not my heaviest but way to heavy for what I want so looking forward to feeling fitter and lighter

Master Cleanse Day 1: I haven’t weighed myself in a long time, as it’s something I’d rather not do or think about but feel in my everyday clothes and how they fit. Today I had to weigh myself to give myself a number for a starting point and I wasn’t very excited or prepared to see what I saw next, a weight I have never imagined reaching or allowing myself to reach. Today is the day for change I stepped of the scale saying to myself! Doing this cleanse is just the beginning of the changes I plan on making for my health and overall great feeling and well being! I am feeling ready for this!
