Detox and The Salt Water Flush

The SWF might be the hardest part of the Master Cleanse, but it doesn’t have to be. It is essential to the cleanse because it facilitates the detox by flushing your system. What is working and what is not working. How are your movements? Are they successful? What do they look like? Are they getting lighter or darker? Are the becoming more frequent? Do you have other signs of detoxing, like breakouts or white tongue? The Master Cleanse is about Detox and daily eliminations are critical to the success of the cleanse. Is this Detox Diet successful so far?

    I’ve been doing the cleanse for 8 days and have had 1 movement. I haven’t used the tea or the flush. I kind of have the feeling there isn’t anything solid to eliminate. I don’t feel bad or impacted. Is this ok? I am amazed at how little hunger I’m experiencing. Please give me some feedback.

      Hi Genevieve,

      NO!

      This is not OK.

      Sorry to be blunt, but you need to be clear on this.

      You need to have a movement each day. You’re producing waste that you’re not eliminating (only because you have no fibre in your diet to create a bowel movement, not because you have no waste).

      Please follow the instructions. They’re there for a reason.

    Master Cleanse Day 9

    I have been doing the Salt Water Flush everyday, and I am surprised at how many toxins are still being released at this stage. Although I only have one more day to go after this for the standard cleanse, I am considering going longer, because I want all of those toxins out. However, I am planning to do raw vegan after this, so eventually those toxins would be eliminated, anyway. But it has taken me awhile on this cleanse to feel somewhat stable and peaceful, and now that I am finally here, I’m not sure that I want to stop. I’m definitely planning to do these cleanses a lot more often–probably not the fall one, but the winter one. I do want to take full advantage of where I’m at, though, and really listen to my body. I did start my cycle today (over a week early) and so I want to be sensitive to that. I’m also wondering if anyone else has had that experience? Doesn’t seem so strange, I guess.

    The SWF has been good. There are times when the movements happen faster than others, and times that I feel it didn’t quite work all the way…that some of the salty water is still in my system throughout the day…but all in all I think it is very beneficial. Looking in the toilet, I know I don’t want that inside of my body. I have been considering doing enemas instead, and I’m still feeling that one out.

    The laxative tea sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Last night I steeped two tea bags and still didn’t need to go this morning, although I did feel my stomach rumble in the early hours of the morning. Last time I steeped two tea bags (because one didn’t work), early on in my cleanse, I woke up at 3 a.m. and needed to go. I do enjoy the tea at night then. Nobody said I couldn’t buy the CHOCOLATE flavored senna tea :-). Yum.

    Well happy fasting, everybody! I’ve been watching youtube videos on adopting a raw vegan lifestyle after this. I am sure I will be tempted by some of my favorite dishes at least one more time before doing something like that, but eventually, that is where I want to be. The health just glows from the people in the video, and I definitely resonate with the spiritual reasons for doing so as well.

    MC Day 10

    Did mostly the Laxative Tea rather than the SWF. It was effective even though there were lots of cramps.

    Got lots of toxins out and feel good.

    MC Day 9

    Today I did the SWF and it did not work as it has before.

    I took it the way I’ve always done it with rapid results…but I not eliminated that
    water and it’s been 6 hours. Somethings off.

    Not sure why…I double checked that I used the UNIODIZED salt and I did.

    Any feedback???

    MC Day 8

    I’ve had really uncomfortable cramps today…however, I know what being eliminated is TOXIC…it even smell toxic…so I will continue to use the Laxative tea to get rid of the stuff that isn’t good for my body.

    MC Day 7

    Detoxing is going pretty well.

    The cramps lasts for a short amount of time and makes it clear that
    I should stay close to the house.

    Today is day 6 and the swf works everyday. I am not sure if it is normal but has anyone experienced less and less movement after the swf? The first 4-5 days I went very often and it was a little dark. Today, I did go couple times but this time was really light color. I keep wodering, is it normal?
