Group Cleanse Support Topic: Social Support from Family and Friends

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Social Support from Family and FriendsĀ for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

We have probably all experienced the “What’s wrong with you?” look when telling friends or family that we are trying the Master Cleanse. And equally, most of us have at least one person in our life who supports us. The Lemonade Diet is difficult, and (dis)approval by our peers can make all the difference.

In fact, that is why I started this Master Cleanse Group Experience diary; we can support each other.

Let us know about the people and experiences you have each and every day. Who made fun of you? Who showed compassion? Who understood the cleansing, and who thought you were nuts?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

Cathy – I am also in the US, in California. It’s pretty nice here during the day but cold at night…. I need a hot water bottle in bed!
My tummy was super rumbly etc yesterday with lots of trips to the loo… but I wasn’t ever hungry. It went pretty good for me. I am just going to take it one day at a time and not wonder about what tomorrow is going to feel like!

I have done pretty well today. I do plan on making more lemonade tomorrow. I had 8 glasses today and could have had more. I had the typical tummy rumbles late afternoon. It usually takes my body 3 days or so to realize that I REALLY AM NOT going to feed it. No headaches. My body temp has been cool. I took a bath already tonight just to warm up.

I have only told my immediate family and best friends about this master cleanse…. I was hoping someone would do it with me… but no such luck. Another friend just completed it though so she has been helpful.
I know I am looking for lots of support here….. so please don’t be shy! Today is going good so far… lots of rumbling in my tummy and funky stuff coming out……I will try the swf tomorrow morning……

I am Cathy from the United States. Although I am a veteran cleanser, I haven’t cleansed in about 7 years. I have been looking forward to this January 11, 2016 group cleanse. It is the day before the official start and I’ve been on the Ease-In. Orange juice never tasted so good.

Day 7 LD-MC. My husband thinks I am crazy but I got really sick the weekend before I started this and believe it has helped me to get better fast! Everyone has been inviting me to lunch and asking to go out and eat and drink a few beers or wine and I am nicely saying no I can’t. But I am going to show those few that think I am crazy that it is not just to cleanse but to also succeed in a process and accomplishment. I think it will help me through my struggles in my business. I do have an event coming up on my day 9, A Halloween costume party! Let see if I can go to that and not eat or want a glass of wine! Wish me luck!

Day 3 Newbie. I’m glad I found this site. I haven’t been doing it right. I haven’t had enough lemonade drinks. I think I had 4 drinks first day, 2 second and so far at 6pm tonight only had 1 and feel weak. I have NO hunger and felt lots of energy yesterday. I am taking RX meds for ADD and just started it at same time as the fast. I didn’t take the pill today because I felt nervous last night at bible study.

This is the fourth time doing the Master cleanse and I am in day two. I find the motivation for me doing the cleanse has changed and sometimes determines my results. The first time I cleansed for spiritual reasons. When one isn’t clouded by toxins in our food, we can connect more easily to our higher powers. Every time I do the cleanse for this reason I see success. I have done the cleanse twice for weight loss reasons and both times failed around the three day mark. This time for doing the cleanse is from an addiction stand point. I realize after cycling many addiction including hard drugs that food is the one addiction that keeps me in the cycle of defeat. I have been trying to detox wheat and sugar for over two weeks now and just cannot stop binging on them. So I am here to reset my palette and cravings. My goal is ten days but truly I will go longer if I don’t feel I am ready to go back to solids.

I have fasted in the past for Spiritual reasons. 3 days tops… Today is my first Master Cleanse day and my first try. Although I need to lose weight, the main reason I began this cleanse is having a skin condition which the Dermatologists/Doctors for two years have not been able to help. I do believe once I finish this, my problems will be gone and I will feel better and change my way of living. I believe it will help my total being/ Spirit/Soul/Body…I am determined…

I talked to my niece and she is not going to support me. She says it’s to much. She says u need to eat. I resolved in my heart that I needed a better way of living. I was heading in the way of pills and tons of doctor bills. I let here know I was going to do this and that’s the end if the conversation. So, I decided to keep it to myself. But low and behold my church is going on a 21 day fast. So, I am not alone The Lord gave me company. Your not seeing this but I am smiling. I was only going to do 10 days but the 31st of July is not that far away. And if this diet can go 40 days I think I can do 11 more. I got my church with me.

I’m on day one, for the third time!! I have tried to do the Master cleanse 3 other times but always end up giving up around day 2 or 3, I promised myself that this time I’ll finish!! I saw a picture my mother took of me on July 4th and I hated what I saw, I have never been this heavy!!! I am trying to keep myself motivated this time and will make it at least to the 10 day mark, although my goal is to do it for 20 days. We’ll see how it goes! :)
