The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post.

Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Post your experiences on these topics:

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the proccess like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

Tuesday. Day 4 of MC. I forgot to post this last night, so writing this in the morning of Day 5. Yesterday was fine. I really think my body is getting used to the lemonade diet now. I always feel great first thing in the morning and last thing at night. In the evenings I guess my body must have some sort of feeding clock, because I do start to think about food. Also the smells of my housemates cooking doesn’t help that. I’ve lost 7 pounds, so I’m down to 140 pounds now. I can’t really see where that 7 pounds came from, apart from my stomach being flatter and I guess maybe my face being a bit more defined. I guess maybe it’s an internal thing. I haven’t done the Saltwater flush in days, but I will on Friday evening once I’m finished with uni for the week. I’m bringing some of my mix with me today as I’m planning on going to the library for a few hours. Hope it’s as good a day as yesterday!

Monday. Day 3 of MC. Today I had to go to Uni for lectures. My nightly laxative tea is really showing results. I had 2 glasses of my lemonade before I went to uni. I felt totally fine for a few hours. Went for tea with classmates after lectures, and I brought my own decaf green tea teabag. Felt a bit low on energy when I walked home (about 30 minutes). Also, feeling like I’m coming down with a cold which is apparently a side effect of detoxing. Tomorrow I have only one class and I’m thinking of skipping it if the cold goes full blown. I seem to have lost a few pounds, which I’m guessing is water weight.

Tonight I’m feeling positive about making it to 10 days. This is my first MC so this will really be a great experience. Tomorrow I will have to re-stock my maple syrup and lemons, and hopefully have another easy day with it.

Sunday. Day 2 of MC. Today was easier than yesterday. I didn’t really have any cravings, and the lemonade seemed to fill me up. I also felt a little more energy and studied for a few hours. I did another salt water flush but there was no big results from that. The senna tea is working for me anyway, so I think I’ll just stick to that. The tea is a bit gross, so I put a few drops of syrup and lemon into that to give it some flavour and it goes down easier that way. I’ve been using a detox brush on my skin just before showering, and I’m already feeling results of soft unblemished skin!

This week will be my first real test. As I started at the weekend, I didn’t really have much to do and was just staying at home. Tomorrow I’m in uni early, and Tuesday I have a seminar to participate in. I’m really hoping not to lose concentration during study. When I was reading earlier, I felt a little spaced and had to read over stuff a few times. I’m going to try and stay positive and really just concentrate on each day as it comes.
