Group Cleanse Support Topic: Weight Loss and Physical Results

This page is a Support Topic Page for Weight Loss and Physical Results for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Weight Loss – Even though The Lemonade Diet is about so much more that weight loss, it is still an effective reduction diet. Weigh yourself each day. How much weight did you lose today? Are you happy or disappointing with the results? What were your expectations? Some people loose weight the day they start The Lemonade Diet. Some people don’t lose weight until well into the diet. Describe your daily experiences.

Physical – Talk about the way your body is reacting to the cleanse. Do you feel full of energy? Do you feel like you have a cold? Headaches on Day 2 but feeling great on day 8? Think about it, how do you feel today? Just pretend you are talking to your best friend and complaining about the hard parts and raving about the good.

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

    Ease in Day 1 –
Hello all, I think I may have accidentally left this information in another entry as well but I will put it here as this is the right place.

I am beginning the ease in now and plan to keep doing the cleanse until I am down to my desired weight, which is what I used to be when I was doing hot yoga and eating well.

I am 5ft3 and 120lbs. I would like to get down to 100lbs. I imagine this will take 20 days roughly? maybe 15? Would it help to keep amount of drinks to minimum? And would more cayenne pepper help? The spicyness doesn’t bother me…

Please let me know your thoughts on this everyone! Appreciated.. Ellen :)

Hi, please help me with a 2 questions. Will or can the sea salt cleanse raise ones blood pressure and how many glasses of lemonade is one required to drink? Oh and one additional question….and no I’m not the cheater, we’re very committed to this (my wife and I) just new rookies. Can 2 glasses of peppermint tea be too many, bc we do this already?

Ellen, I am on Day 5 of the Master Cleanse. I am 5’4 and would love to get back to my normal 110 lbs. (I was eating very badly for the last two years and started this cleanse at 145. On day 5, I was 138 this morning, so I am getting there.) You will lose weight on this cleanse, but it probably won’t stay off when you begin eating a regular diet. Take the overall benefits: cleansing yourself internally, great mental outlook, etc. Look at the weight loss as a catalyst; it is a great beginning to your weight loss, but when you are done, stay with a healthy workout routine and clean eating. This is certainly what I plan to do! I can and I will. ;) If you need motivation, help or questions, email me. I was once studying to be a personal trainer before I launched into my current career. Master cleanse end of day 10…Yay!! Are my sentiments! When I weighed myself this morning I lost 2 pounds! Weighing in at 229 for a grand total during the overall cleanse of 14 pounds! I am so elated! I know that if I stay on the cleanse a little while longer that I can lose some more. I know that I will gain some back when I start eating solid food again but I am more prepared to turn down unhealthy stuff and reach for the good stuff. I can’t lie though I have been stashing food in my freezer for that special day. Not unhealthy stuff just stuff like baked chicken with gravy, broccoli rice and cheese casserole. and my favorite cuts of cheeses. Yum I can’t wait!

Master Cleanse end of day 9…When I weighed myself this morning I gained a pound which is weird because I haven’t eaten anything. Has anyone experienced gaining weight on the cleanse? I think it might be because of the fact that I’m having water weight gain. I hope to see a difference by the time I complete this cleanse or at least not gain any more weight. But on the other hand, physically I look great! My stomach is much flatter than has been in a long time. My clothes fit much better now, My muscle tone is starting to show on my legs.

Master Cleanse end of day 8..I weighed myself this morning and I was down only 1 pound which was disappointing in a way, don’t get me wrong I was still happy to lose that 1 pound I would have had to exercise my tail off before doing this fast to lose 1 pound but after losing 2 pounds on average everyday I was kind of disappointed. I think because I was having premenstrual bloating that I didn’t lose that much. I am feeling great though I didn’t even know that I was in premenstrual mode. Most of the time I would experience terrible cramps and acne that would let me know it was that time of the month but this time I did not feel a thing.

Master Cleanse end of day 7…When I weighed myself this morning i was down 2 more pounds weighing in at 231. I am so very happy and motivated to keep going. It’s not only the weight loss that has me stoked it’s other things as well. I started this cleanse because I was having problems with my health, my gallbladder/liver in particular. I used to had bad pain on my right side when I ate something greasy or fatty and now the pain that I was having is almost nonexistent. I know that staying on the cleanse for ten days is wonderful for the body but I can imagine what 14 days would do for me. I already feel so great!

The master cleanse day 6…I weighed myself this morning and I lost 2 more pounds! My current weight is 233! I feel as though my weight is slowing down a lot from when I first started. I know that I am not losing muscle mass because when I weighed in yesterday my measurements didn’t really change that much although I’ve lost nearly ten pounds in a week. I am also seeing other physical results as well such as my eyes are whiter, my sense of smell is stronger, my skin is smoother, and my sense of appreciation is greater as well. I appreciate the smell of food. When I go on my walks I have a strong appreciation for nature. I’ve even had thoughts of continuing this process since I am feeling so good.

The end of day 5…This morning when I weighed myself I weighed in at 235. I did my normal Friday routine of walking nine miles. I’m not sure if i should have did that. I wasn’t sure how it would affect me but I soon found out. I felt as though I didn’t have any gas in me to make me go. I drank my lemonade drink in hopes that it would give me the boost I needed to complete my routine, boy was I wrong, I felt tired and weak. It’s funny though I was averaging better time than I did last week, I was completing each mile with better time. I also had a weigh in today and it was funny because the lady that weighs me every week was absolutely startled at how much weight I lost, by the time I weighed in I actually went down another pound and was at 234. She was like, “How did you do that?” I told her that I was working out a little harder she was like, “no that’s not it, you’ve lost almost ten pounds in a week!” I told her I was doing a cleanse and although I didn’t give her the details of it immediately she that it wasn’t good to do a cleanse. I just told her that was cleaning my colon but I didn’t tell her how and she was okay with that. She told me to be watchful of it coming back but quicker.
