Group Cleanse Support Topic: Weight Loss and Physical Results

This page is a Support Topic Page for Weight Loss and Physical Results for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Weight Loss – Even though The Lemonade Diet is about so much more that weight loss, it is still an effective reduction diet. Weigh yourself each day. How much weight did you lose today? Are you happy or disappointing with the results? What were your expectations? Some people loose weight the day they start The Lemonade Diet. Some people don’t lose weight until well into the diet. Describe your daily experiences.

Physical – Talk about the way your body is reacting to the cleanse. Do you feel full of energy? Do you feel like you have a cold? Headaches on Day 2 but feeling great on day 8? Think about it, how do you feel today? Just pretend you are talking to your best friend and complaining about the hard parts and raving about the good.

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

I have decided to weigh myself Friday morning for the first time since beginning the MC. It has been very cold where I live and during the night the furnace broke and it is extremely cold in my house. I am hoping that shivering keeps things moving and burns calories. I have been sleeping somewhat better, although today I had burrowed under the bed covers over my break and ended up taking a short nap. I’m glad to have made it this far and I’m feeling confident that I can finish strong.

I am down about 2 pounds from yesterday- going to say that was a the colonic. I normally rarely weight myself but I have found it kind of fun on this cleanse. Especially the day I went up- so often we beat ourselves up for putting on a pound or two, and there I am , on a cleanse, doing SWF eating nothing and the scale showed +1! Did the same thing yesterday and added a colonic : -2!
I am hoping after this cleanse that I can go easier on myself and not mentally berate myself for eating something “bad” and causing a pound to add to my body- cos it probably is just in the colon anyways! I’ll take tons of fibre and lose it that way :P

Day #8 – yeah!! Every day is such a victory! I have not weighted myself today. Had a really hard time sleeping last night due to the nose and the sore throat/cough. If I keep telling myself that this is the detox, it makes it easier to continue, because then I have knowledge that this is working! This is not for nothing.

I do still have this patch on my knee that itches like crazy. I was hoping that it would go away without gluten or processed sugar. I guess I still have time.

Great job ladies! Tomorrow we can say tomorrow is our last day!

Day 8. I have seen some comments about trusting your body and I have realized that I don’t trust my body. I am not sure what it’s up to and how it’s going to feel from one hour to the next. I wish I could see what’s actually happening inside, but then that would probably be very gross and I would wish I hadn’t seen it. My body and I seem to have an uneasy truce. I hope someday we can be friends.

    Day 8
Yesterday I made the mistake of thinking I would be away from home for a couple of hours and got home 10 hours later. I took only 2 servings of lemonade with me which made a total of 4 for the day. When I got home I was too tired to do anything but drink my Smooth Move. I am really paying the price today! I feel light headed, weak and achy. On previous MCs I felt great in the home stretch. I won’t skimp on the lemonade ever again!

Feeling great today! Yesterday was just a bump in the road. The more I drank, the better I felt!

My family is back after a 2 day hiatus…. back to cooking for them and my boys are both home today as it’s MLK day. But I feel totally fine about it. I need to do the grocery shopping too…. just going to pack a few lemonades in case the sample ladies try to break me down HAHA.
I am up a pound from yesterday- thats kindda weird….especially since I sweated it out at hot yoga too! But I trust that my body knows what its doing! I know those toxins are getting flushed, waiting for the cellulite on my thighs to disappear any day now!
I have enjoyed my hiatus form working out…. I realize how much time I spend working out and making food…. no wonder I feel busy all the time!

I am holding steady. No weight loss to speak of in 4 days. That’s okay. My insides are getting a major overhaul.

Major cold symptoms this AM, stayed home from church because I have no voice and am blowing my nose every 5 mins. Scale says weight is still steady. I did find myself vey easily irritated this afternoon and gave myself a time out. Felt better after a little nap.

My daughter made dinner tonight and had her boyfriend over, so it was kind of formal. I just sat at the table with everyone else and drank my lemonade. I couldn’t even really smell all the good food because of my stuffy nose! I made it through fine and felt good becaus of it!

I still have not weighed myself because I need to stay positive and focus on finishing strong. Not losing weight would be so discouraging and if I haven’t lost weight at this point I don’t want to know. I don’t look any different to myself. I think I must be looking deprived because now my husband and son are being VERY careful not to eat in front of me. I’m staying in a different part of the house when I know they will be eating. They are acting cautious like they think I might try to wrestle their food away from them. (I have thought about it, but haven’t acted on it!)

I am holding steady weight since yesterday. Down 4 pound from when I started. I am ok if I lose another 1-2 pounds, which I expect I will.
My plan after this is to avoid gluten, added sugars and dairy ( except for a splash in my black tea!) for another 20 days. I have no real issues with gluten or dairy, I just want to give my body a rest from them. I will stay away from processed sugar as long as I can….
I really am enjoying this cleanse way more than I anticipated. I had no idea I could do this… next stop Survivor hahaha. Just kidding- don’t want to be detoxing on national TV… so wonder some of those characters show their worst side. I will be more compassionate towards them now!
