Group Cleanse Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush (My Experience)

This page is a Support Topic Page for the Topic of Detox and The Salt Water Flush for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush

The Salt Water Flush (SWF) might be the hardest part of the Master Cleanse, but it doesn’t have to be. It is essential to the cleanse because it facilitates the detox by flushing your system. What is working and what is not working. How are your movements? Are they successful? What do they look like? Are they getting lighter or darker? Are the becoming more frequent? Do you have other signs of detoxing, like breakouts or white tongue? The Master Cleanse is about Detox and daily eliminations are critical to the success of the cleanse. Is this Detox Diet successful so far?

Day 6 Lemonade Diet – First time master cleanse – Detox and the Saltwater Flush. I didn’t wake up as early as I wanted to, but I did the saltwater flush anyway. And everything was on track. I had a healthy movement and then another. I packed extra undies just in case. (TMI) Once I left the apartment I made it 15 minutes and then leakage. I was bummed. I didn’t let it ruin things, but it’s a bummer. I don’t know how you guys do it going to work everyday. My hat is off to you. You are amazing.

    Lemonade Diet Day 6

It’s so funny how “expected” the SWF is now. When my eyes open, I know that I’m headed to get to the kitchen to get the salt water in me. The faster it’s down the sooner I can potty and get out and start my day.

I definitely am feeling the effects of the detox. I am beginning to feel clean on the inside. My skin is looking really good. My body rashes are clearing up. And I know that what is seen on the outside is only because the insides have gotten better. And I love that.

I still can’t over the taste though. And I still hesitate for a moment, staring at the cloudy water before guzzling it. But I can get it down fairly quickly now. I’m already begun to feel some rumbles in my belly. I’m going to lay down on my right side until I can hold it in now longer. But I must first finish my posts!

    Lemonade Diet – Day 6 …

This morning, I had to go into the office first thing. As I have made it a ritual to do a SWF everyday of the cleanse, I was determined to get it in and out of me as soon as possible.
I only have 2 hours from the moment I wake up, to the second I leave the door, so couldn’t faff around too much with toilet business.

I woke an extra 15 mins earlier than I would normally to drink my salty concoction. Went back to bed for 10 mins, as I felt like wobble from ‘Playdays’, but then got up and jumped straight into the shower.
For some reason, although I feel the drop in my stomach and know that if I tried, I could go; I wanted to leave it as long as possible, just to try and let it build up inside me to hopefully lessen the visits.

It worked well. 2 visits and I was out of the door and didn’t go again at work.

I might try that more often.
Only 4 days to go though :)))))

    Lemonade Diet – Day 5 –

Only a few more salt water flushes to go! YAY! I did it again this morning and I guess it worked. I really dislike it though. UGH. and it took the whole 2 hours again, yet I didn’t feel like it pushed ALL that much outta me! I wish it didn’t take up so much of my morning. I have been waiting to exercise until the 2 hours are up because I don’t want the hassle of worrying whether I can make it to the bathroom in the middle of my (short) workout…. but maybe I should try mixing it up tomorrow ;-) I’m just tired of the slow way my days are starting.

As for other detoxing…. I think I’m getting a rash on my cheeks :( :( I’m SO bummed! I can’t see it yet, but I can feel it. and I had such awesome clear smooth skin on the first 3/4 days of the cleanse! Why is it hitting NOW? ugh!

Day 5 Lemonade Diet – First time master cleanse – Detox and the Saltwater Flush. I did the herbal tea last night, but I chose not to do the saltwater flush this morning, there was just too much that was going on and I wanted to keep it as simple as possible today. I haven’t had any movement. I had some tea about 15 minutes or so ago and I plan on doing the saltwater flush tomorrow morning. Tomorrow is a big family day so I plan to get up a couple of hours earlier to set things in motion. (These puns are not intentional). We are going to be out and about for the better part of the day and I want to make sure there are no surprises.

    Lemonade – Day 5

Detox and Salt Water Flush – I think it went really well this morning and maybe some progress. I wonder if in the end the elimination will end up fairly clear. I did the tea last night, and I woke up in the middle of the night for the first time for elimination. It usually just comes as the SWF does it’s work. There is still very dark sludge in the beginning, but towards the end of the SWF elimination, there were close to no solids. Also, I wonder if I’ve been drinking more water than required. I will measure tonight to be sure. I’ve just been using a quart jug, without doing the measurements.

Today is day 1 of MC after doing 3 days of “ease-in”. I did MC first week of summer so been through it before. The SWF reminds me of falling off a surfboard and taking in too much ocean water YUK! Is this necessary every morning? Last time only did SWF first morning. I am sleepy and have time to give in to resting. I follow what my body says to do on the MC. It is the final couple days of relaxing warm Indian summer sun, so will read at the pool and nap some more. Water and lemonade and thoughts of healing from inside out encourage me. Missing my french press coffee! Miss my coffee more than my wine. I want to do ease out and cleaner eating when I finish this time, going completely veg, no fish (never ate meat). Will plan better this time rather than just going back to same eating/drinking patterns.Anyone going vegan/raw diet?

Day 5- lemonade diet. So I do not do the SWF because in the past it causes water retention for me and no elimination. Instead I do the tea in the morning and afternoon. Today I was very naseaus and tired. I thought this was day 3.

    Lemonade Diet Day 5

Surprising the SWF was simple to do this morning. Of course I still feel like I’m drinking a big gulp from the ocean but I didn’t struggle in getting the water down. It was gone like no big deal.

The effects didn’t take very long this morning. I was in the bathroom within 15 minutes of drinking the salt water. Very watery with pieces. My elimination was a darker color than what I noticed yesterday. I’ve had about 3 now in the last 30 minutes since drinking.

I’m kinda surprised that I don’t have more solid gunk in my intestine. Do you think that whatever is clinging to walls of my digestive track liquefies because of the lemon drink maybe? My poo hasn’t been solid since Day 2.

I also noticed that my eliminations don’t have that stinky poo odor either. There really is no smell actually. And with a heightened sense of smell, I’m pretty sure I’d be able to tell a difference. Interesting…

    Lemonade Diet – Day 5 …

Blurggghhh, am definitely never going to get used to this.

I tried to not think about it today.
Just got my litre bottle of water, added my tbsp of Salt, gave it a shake, poured it into a glass, closed my eyes and immediately drank it.

I find that drinking it from a glass, instead of drinking it out of a bottle helps to tip more to the back of your throat, without touching your tongue. Less likely to heave and having bigger gulps gets it down you quicker.

Afterwards, I yet again felt completely full and heavy and uncomfortable, but like yesterday, it’s going through my system so much faster and i’m spending less time in the morning worrying about it.

5 more days to go and we’re done.
Do we have to SWF throughout Ease Out??? Anyone know?

    Speak tomorrow.

        O here-here Marian!!!
        Thank goodness.

I wonder when after eating solid foods again our digestive systems with start functioning normally without the aid of a laxative, as I assume we’ll still need to do that in the evenings??? Hmmmm….
