Group Cleanse Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush (My Experience)

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush

The Salt Water Flush (SWF) might be the hardest part of the Master Cleanse, but it doesn’t have to be. It is essential to the cleanse because it facilitates the detox by flushing your system. What is working and what is not working. How are your movements? Are they successful? What do they look like? Are they getting lighter or darker? Are the becoming more frequent? Do you have other signs of detoxing, like breakouts or white tongue? The Master Cleanse is about Detox and daily eliminations are critical to the success of the cleanse. Is this Detox Diet successful so far?

    day 16 here. I am so proud of all you guys that are on the group cleanse. You really can do this. I have been wanting to eat the last couple of days, maybe cause I have company this week-end. I want to try to do 40 days. I will see how things go. If anyone wants a buddy to do this with let me know. Have a great day.

      I Phyllis, I am on day 6 here and thought maybe I would go for 25days….and I’ll see how that goes, but after this group cleanse I would love a buddy:) Good for you! all the strength to you and everyone here!

    Lemonade day 5:)

    Wow day 5, its here already:)
    Today I opted to skip the SWF, I like it and find it an ok process. But I had a nice sleep in morning again, went to bed super late last night after being at a friends house. And I took my Laxative tea really late also, woke up at 6 for a real BM which I was happy about because not much has been coming out except for SWF eliminations and lots of pee, lol!
    I am going to go out and find some spring water today, get some sun, do errands then I have a nice excersie evening planned.
    I hope that my eliminations go ok today as the SWF seems to be the thing moving things along…but I just put more cayenne in the drinks maybe as I am feeling a bit more hydrated today and my lips seem all healed up. I’ll do a tea tonight and a SWF in the morning tomorrow, I’ll try for a earlier morning, I really find I have to make sure I have the time for the SWF in the mornings, might try it in the eveniings one of these days.

    Lemonade Day 5

    Normally I suffer from constipation because of lack of fiber in my diet. That problem seems to lessen during menstruation. I considered skipping the SWF this morning because I feared “blasting off” my chair at work later on. I decided to take advantage of my gut being more cooperative and did the SWF anyway.

    So far nothing usual has happened.

    Last night I felt more hungry and some cravings throughout the day. This is normal period behaviour for me. I’m being very careful to analyze all the reactions my body is having while on this cleanse. I quietly let myself feel the craving, think about those feelings, assess where they originate, acknowledge and moved past them.

    I’m doing pretty well with this thing overall.

    lemonade day 4 11:50pm

    Well it seems I wait to have my first lemonade in the morning 2-3hrs after I awake…its just what seems best, to let my body eliminate the SWF and when I feel really hungry.
    I’ve been averaging at 6glasses a day and the SWF every morning.
    Today was a bit different with the SWF, it was a little uncomfortable, the whole process, not bad, and then I eliminated like asap, but I think that was because of my laxative the night before. I keep waiting for a big elimination of yuck, but not much is coming out….
    just getting that salty water out, and a little more today.
    I put I tad bit more salt in this morning and took it hrs after I usually do as I had a restful sleepy morning instead of a 5am morning. I also noticed that after I take the SWF its most comfortable to rest for awhile, at first I thought I would move my body, stretch, excersise, but nope…resting, laying down is the best as my tummy feels a bit uncomfortable after swallowing the big jar of salt water. haven’t had any big detox moments so far.
    Thought my face might have noticeable detox but it seems to be looking better as I do have little bouts of acne that I am not impressed with and would like to clear up.
    so most everything is good:)

    day 4 I was able to do the swf this morning but I couldn’t do it all I left 8oz I also got a headache I’ll see tomorrow and maybe not do the flush only the laxative

    Day 4, not experiencing any hunger, felt so good I decided to go to the gym, but after 45 minutes on the elliptical machine I got a bit shaky and lightheaded, so I stopped. Did the salt water flush this evening but I think most it got absorbed. Its been almost 3 hours with very little out. Had some icky BMs early this am with dark mucousy blobs coming out. Tomorrow another 12 hour shift on a hectic Friday, I expect to be challenged again by my junk food loving coworkers. I watched my good friend eat a half dozen oreos for breakfast, onion rings for lunch, and carpooling home I watched her inhale a large slice of pizza. I am saddened and repulsed at the same time. Am so looking forward to preparing healthy and delicious meals to bring to work;
    Tomorrow day 5! I think I can do this!

    Days 3 of the MC and that saltwater cleanse is a bear! the first two days I struggle with how to consume the 32 ounces. On this my third day I decided to drink from two cups while watching the early morning news.

    You may wonder why the news..well I figured I could flush out all the toxic news while I flushed out the sludge in me. My first two days were quite interesting as I found out that if you feel the urge to pass gas that it was not a good idea to do so…we will leave it at that. I was curious to know what was being flushed out and noticed that today the matter being expunged from my system was a different color and texture than the first day. However, I did notice that there were still clumps from the saltwater flush.

    Throughout the day, I notice more of a yellow/orange/brown type of liquid extraction. My stomach does not feel as hard/stiff as it was feeling on Monday. So i know something is happening…toxins, sludge and parasites are moving out of me and I am happy about that.

    Lemonade Day 4

    And also day 1 of my period. Got up early to do the SWF and then a half hour later to evacuate. To my surprise, there it was. Aunt Flow came aknockin and didn’t even call me. Well… there was that mild headache all Monday long. And I did feel a slight twinge/cramp yesterday at work…and last week I almost cried over some dumb announcement on the radio. But overall, very timid PMS symptoms this time.

    It seems that with less “crap”, as in toxins, in my system the PMS monster has been knocked down Fozzy Bear status. Pretty harmless and silly.

    I’ve been pretty successful with the bowel movements so far. It seems like I have a pretty good level of cayenne, water, lemon juice and sea salt in my system at all times. I went 5 times yesterday. It seems like the juice is digging deeper into the sludge because the outcome has been more orange/brown and stinkier than the first couple of days.

    Sludge, you lose!

    day 3 mc didn’t do swf still feeling a little sick but I did do a saline laxative hoping it wasn’t to toxic for me anyway I still had a bm will try to swf in the morning

    Lemonade Diet Day 2 (yesterday) I tried the SWF and it did not work for me. I read all of your comments and tried it in the evening when I got home. Nothing happen. I am not a big salt user so it was extremely hard for me to drink the warm salt water. I may try another laxative.

      Felicia, I have found doing the SWF generally is easier for me in the evening on days I work. I had to adjust my salt however from 2 tsp to 3, and that did the trick. I also drink it hot so it is much more tolerable.
