Group Cleanse Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush (My Experience)

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

Support Topic: Detox and The Salt Water Flush

The Salt Water Flush (SWF) might be the hardest part of the Master Cleanse, but it doesn’t have to be. It is essential to the cleanse because it facilitates the detox by flushing your system. What is working and what is not working. How are your movements? Are they successful? What do they look like? Are they getting lighter or darker? Are the becoming more frequent? Do you have other signs of detoxing, like breakouts or white tongue? The Master Cleanse is about Detox and daily eliminations are critical to the success of the cleanse. Is this Detox Diet successful so far?

    Lemonade Day 10 – Day 10 has arrived, I feel great, the cleanse has me motivated to follow a proper diet once I return to regular eating. I am not sure if I lost much weight, I will check tomorrow, I am happy to have cleansed internally. Great job everyone!!!! Tomorrow Ease Out Day 1.

    I will have my senna tea tonight and one last swf tomorrow morning just to clear out any remaining toxins.

    Lemonade Day 10

    Here’s some helpful advice: carry an extra pair of undies in your car! No joke if you’re on the go (pun really intended) like me. I coughed really hard this morning driving into work and well….had a little accident. LOL! But luckily I did have my travel bag in my car and changed right away. The SWF seems to be taking a bit longer to leave my body than in the beginning so it wasn’t too nasty or a whole lot…but still – heed my advice on this one people.

    I didn’t have a chance to go on my walk at work yesterday but I will get that out of the way shortly today. I do feel much better afterwards because I know I’m helping my metabolism. The nice thing is that there is a restroom right on the trail so I don’t have to worry about that.

    Thank you to whoever invented toilets!

    I also want to congratulate everyone else that completed the cleanse along with me. I know my ride has been much smoother than others, and for that I am grateful. The folks that went through hell –you are awesome–you made it back!.

    Lemonade Day 8…

    the SWF is really the worst of the entire process. I have said that before. I generally try not to think too much about it. I get going early in the morning and make two cups of the drink. I watch the news while i drink my SWF and get both out of my system. I noticed on Day 7 – yesterday and today day 8 the elimination has been frequest and it is more on the light brown/yellow side. In the early morning it seems more soft solid.

    I have not experienced any breakouts but my tongue is has been white alot and I stay checking my breath as I read that you have bad breath during the cleanse. I brush alot and rinse with mouth wash.

    I believe the cleanse is working for me. My stomach looks less bloated, and I am much more energized. Pre- cleansing I was tired alot and everytime i was hungry I ate whatever was in sight and did not plan out the meals. So Post cleanse I plan to stay off the meatsa dn poultry for another few weeks and work with the vegetables and fish for a while. I like to see my body changing again.

    Lemonade Day 9

    I had my laxative tea as usual last night. And each night before that without the usual production I had come to expect. I was getting worried that it was losing its effect. But to my happy surprise this morning at around 2:00am – success! I never thought I’d be so happy about spending a half hour on the toilet. My legs were numb from sitting so long…LOL!

    I had my SWF this morning and that took longer to leave my body…it took three tries but it did it’s job. I’m hoping that all of this is a sign that the cleanse is digging deeper into the sludge and is also a result of less toxins present in my body.

    That’s miles and miles of gut the sea salt, lemonade and tea need to work on…so yeah, I will continue on until I’m squeaky clean on the inside.

    Day 2- The SWF
    I successfully made it through day 1 of the cleanse. I really like how the cayenne curbs hunger although I purchased a raw cayenne with a very hot BTU(british thermal unit) number and I have to watch it on how much I add to my water. This morning I got up and logged into the site to make sure I measured everything correctly. I mixed 32 oz. of water (it was cold) with 2 tsp of pink himalayan salt I got from Whole Foods. To make it fun I clicked on the video posted where Mike shows how to make it and he drinks it and I try to make it a competition against him. But he beat me this morning, lol. And I was worried that it wouldn’t work because I didn’t warm it up, but boy was a wrong.
    I’ve mixed my first 33 oz. of lemon-cayenne drink for the day and still going to the bathroom. But it’s not bothering me because I want my body to eliminate everything that’s no longer serving it to the benefit of me and the energy I give out to everything else I interact with on this planet.
    This master cleanse is serving as a bridge for me into a vegan lifestyle, preferably raw. I watched the movie “Vegucated” last night and cried my eyes out when I watched the scenes of the slaughter houses and how our animals are treated. They have nerves and pain sensors and I just can’t fathom knowing I’m eating an animal that suffered so horribly. Sorry, that was off topic but the master cleanse is doing something wonderful and that’s mental clarity, focused meditation, and working on issues that I was able to mask with food before because while I ate whatever I wanted I focused on the food rather than what was bothering me. That should probably go in the psychological section but I added it.

    Lemonade Day 7

    I woke up feeling great and did my SWF as normal. No trouble getting that down. It warmed the water up a bit too much – but because it was warmer, I drank it faster too.

    It worked like a charm. My morning bowel movements are still neon yellow in color. I like to think that it’s all the acidic toxins leaving my body. I know I have been quite acidic for a long time. That’s something that I will need to keep working on after the cleanse is over. I’ve eaten too many unhealthy foods in the past.

    I thank God for the SWF though. That has saved my butt (pun intended), these past two days that I have not drunk enough lemonade.

    Lemonade Day 7:)

    Today I woke up and was so tired that I thought I could get up and do the SWF as I planned, or I could rest a bit more and I didn’t think I had enough time to eliminate everything before going to a yoga class, so I thought I would go without again, as the laxative tea really worked well again, was still having BM’s in the early morning-late morning.
    I do find the SWF fine, its not something I feel like avoiding, its just making time for it, I am someone who waits to the last minute to get up out of bed and get out the door, so
    this cleanse is good to get into a routine, which will be back in full swing tomorrow as the routine got kinda wonky from being off work for the few days. Early night tonight with my laxative tea to anticipate my SWF in the morning.
    As for detox and noticed a little tiny bit of acne on my face, which I thought I would have more from detox, but today was the first little bit, I was interested that it happened now, not before…but meh I can’t know everything.

    Day 6 – MC:

    The SWF is what it is. I dont think too much about the process. As far as I am concerned, I get up in the morning and that is the routine I must follow. Before my cleanse started I would enjoy a cup of coffee or drink a lovely cup of english breakfast. Sometime I would have two cups before I even had a meal. mentally I have replace the coffee/tea with the SWF. I make two cups of it and I sit and watch the morning news while I drink the darn thing. I dont focus on the taste as there really isn’t one to affix any emotion oe sense of longing to such as the hazel nut coffee I so miss.

    I do anticipate getting it out of me and that sometime takes a little longer than I care for. The interesting thing is that I se soft solid waste being passed and I wondered about the “solid” since I am only drinking.

    I love drinking teas. It is one of my favorite things to do….have a cup of tea, of course with some biscuits or scones, or a muffin. (smile). Buy alas the team we are focused on during this process is anything but pleasant. So I just drink it becuase it is something hot. I have not been drinking any of my other teas during the day and I read someone post that they have been drinking teas to get away from the lemonade taste. Perhaps I will try a cup of some other type of tea before I have my herbal tea tonight. I am so looking forwrd to day seven.

    Lemonade Day 6

    The SWF gave me a bit of nausea this morning. And this time, I got it out all out in one go whereas it had taken me twice as long before. I was happy about that since I had to go into work for a bit this morning.

    I had two bowel movements today. Probably because I only had 2 liters of lemonade today since I couldn’t bring myself to drink any more than that.

    I’m thinking 10 days might just be enough for me. I’m still going to wait until wednesday to decide if I want to go beyond that or not.

    Lemonade day 6

    Back to the SWF today, had my break yesterday, and wow it felt salty today, the laxative effect and the SWF in the morning didn’t feel that pleasent, but just gotta deal with it, feeling like I am getting lots out though, I just gotta get back into a early night, early morning routine, that seems to work the best, when I can get up early, do the SWF and just chill for a bit, even lay down which is really good after the SWF cause my tummy doesn’t allways feel the best. I found a better laxative tea that works nicer for me. As the first one gives me intense cramps and the other one didn’t seem to do much….so I feel like I am getting good progress with the ones I have.
    Yesterday’s detox at the rec centre in the steam room was awesome, thought about going again tonight…I should, its just so cold outside I just want to hide under my blankets in the warm house. Tomorrow I am gonna be up early and out all day I think. So tonight I am gonna be a hermit and stay in again an watch some shows.
