Support Topic: The Process and The Lemonade Diet

This page is a Support Topic Page for The Process and The Lemonade Diet for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

The Master Cleanse is a process. And it’s more than just making the lemonade diet drink each time you’re hungry. To successfully get through a protocol like this you need to consciously into a process, a routine so that you come to depend on what’s next. For example, first thing, SWF, next perhaps your normal morning routine, followed by the eliminations from the SWF. Once those start you can have your first lemonade. Maybe you want 4 lemonades by lunch, and 6 after. When is your peppermint tea break? Do you workout during the day? How do you manage work schedule? You get the point.

What is the process you go through to make your Lemonade each day? Do you have any tips? How are you changing this process, if at all, over time? Do you use 2 chugabbles or make 1 glass at a time like Stanley Burroughs suggested. What alternatives to the Lemonade Diet have you used *(Check for generally accepted practices). Do you add anything to the process like Psyllium or Bentonite? How do you manage your day? Do you do make the Lemonade in the morning? Do you sip it all day or take big gulps when your most hungry?

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

    Ease out day 1

    I was extremely excited this morning as I was juicing my oranges and OMG! Orange juice never tasted so good. I’m so happy to be enjoying a new flavour after 10 days of lemonade. My oranges gave beautiful sweet juice with just enough pulp so I could chew a little and oh what fun that was. My husband and eldest son have been helping me through my cleanse and I think they were just as excited as I was this morning.
    I went back to the gym this afternoon as I’m planning to continue on my stay healthy plan. Bonus I lost 11lbs and will work hard to keep it off and perhaps lose another 5lbs through healthy living.
    CONGRATULATIONS everyone. We did good and let’s all remember to continue eating healthy food.

      Stephanie, Congratulations to you! That is awesome to hear about your weight loss and keep up the good work! I feel the same way about working hard and having a goal to continue to lose weight/get healthy. I have quite a ways to go so will eat my elephant one bite out of a time (so to speak).

    Lemonade Diet DAY 10 (Newbie) – I just about barely had enough maple syrup today to make my batch because I had put a little extra in a drink or two earlier on this week for extra energy. I’ll have to remember that next time I do the cleanse. I have been extremely happy with the prepping of the mixture, the teas, and water. This has part has been relatively easy, and the clean up is quick. I will agree with someone else who posted earlier that I have enjoyed not having as much groceries or dishes to deal with. I enjoyed the taste of the lemonade mix very much.

    Day 9: Lemonade

    I got the email this morning and it made me feel good. We are almost there. I went through the email part where it listed ways to know if it’s time to end your cleanse at day 10, and thought about it. This time it was very hard for me. Mentally I just wasn’t there like I had been in the past, but I still made it this far. I will most definitely keep going to at least 10 days, (and ease-out). I may go a day or two more but I will play it by ear. Today I feel stronger and being at work makes it easier for me. I have three more work days this week so I might go to 12 days. I’m not going to force it, but I want to try. We’ll see how it goes on day 10;) Congratulations, ladies! You are almost there!! I just want to say, that I probably would have quite if it wasn’t for your support, so thank you:)

    LEMONADE DIET – DAY 10 – NEWBIE ->

    This morning I feel nervous… yes, I’ve done this 9 days already, but today will be the longest day yet that I am far from home… I am scheduled to work 8.45am – 10.15pm (crazy? yes!)… but I have the 45min-1hr commute one-way… and its supposed to snow in the evening, so it will take even longer to get home… so much will happen during the work day with customer service demands… so I gotta stay strong and true to the program… no sense quitting on the last day… crowds and uncertainty lead me to feel anxious… so I have made up my mind that if I feel tempted, I will drink even more lemonade… might even make 3 batches of 60ounces, instead of my usual two batches

    Lemonade Diet DAY 9 (Newbie) – I continue to do everything the same way. Our town got a new natural foods grocer and I went to price the produce. I heard that getting the lemons from this type of grocers would be better for cleansing but no way! The prices were outrageous on the produce. However they had 4 different brands of grade B maple syrup and 7 different brands of herbal laxative teas!!! Whereas before this store opened I was only finding one brand of each. And the prices varied, so I love choices! So next time I do this I will get to try varieties. I still need to learn to drink more water!!

    Day 7 – Lemonade Diet

    I did something different for today I mixed my lemon juice and maple syrup in a dark glass container. I carried my water separately and just measured out my juice with a tablespoon and added the pepper on top and stir. I noticed that this does last longer with me and I still have been drinking lots of water. I am feeling good just still have the sensitivity in my teeth. I feels good to have just three more days left before the ease out phase. I just want to make this be the beginning of my new way of eating and looking at food.

    LEMONADE DIET – DAY 9 – NEWBIE ->

    SIMPLICITY…. and CLEANLINESS… I really like how simple the process is… I make two batches of the 60ounce recipe (i.e. 1/2 a gallon)… I have my morning batch that takes me thru lunch time, then my afternoon batch taking me thru the evening… then I have my herbal tea…. I don’t have to go the grocery store so much.. I don’t have loads of different produce in the fridge… I don’t have so many dishes… the past few days I have really noticed how this process has simplified my life, especially in the kitchen, and with shopping, and with work… and my kitchen has stayed so much cleaner… I only cook one meal a day for my children since I’ve been cleansing… were I usually made 3 meals a day for all 3 of us… so I thank you Master Cleanse for the SIMPLICITY… and the CLEANLINESS.. in my kitchen, and inside me

    Lemonade Diet DAY 8 (Newbie) – I am going to continue to make my lemonade and prep the rest of all my supplies (water, tea, etc.) the same way until the end of this cleanse. I feel bad because I never read Stanley B.’s book. I definitely going to reflect on this first cleanse and educate myself better for the next. For now I’m going to educate myself about how to keep eating AFTER this cleanse so I don’t go back to my old ways.

    LEMONADE DIET – DAY 8 – NEWBIE ->
    Also, I am a person making my lemonade drink by the BATCH… but I make two batches (early morning, mid-afternoon)… so each batch is the 60 ounce recipe… so that I am drinking

    was in a work related business meeting from 11am-3pm… I drank 30 ounce of water during that time… but completely forgot about my lemonade by my feet… I have a brown Arizona Tea container that I keep my lemonade drink in when I don’t want any questions… otherwise I just use a plain glass cup…but I forgot all about my lemonade on the floor near my feet… meeting finally over and I felt like I might pass out… then I gulped the lemonade like a Castaway on a deserted island who did not have water or any liquid for a week.. I’m sure I looked silly… then my tummy felt so tender and not happy… my work stress is upsetting me… I’d rather just have harmony and balance and better self care… not having any lemonade beverage for a 4 hours stretch was very upsetting… i was not hungry… just tired of not putting “me” first
