Group Cleanse Support Topic: Weight Loss and Physical Results

This page is a Support Topic Page for Weight Loss and Physical Results for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Weight Loss – Even though The Lemonade Diet is about so much more that weight loss, it is still an effective reduction diet. Weigh yourself each day. How much weight did you lose today? Are you happy or disappointing with the results? What were your expectations? Some people loose weight the day they start The Lemonade Diet. Some people don’t lose weight until well into the diet. Describe your daily experiences.

Physical – Talk about the way your body is reacting to the cleanse. Do you feel full of energy? Do you feel like you have a cold? Headaches on Day 2 but feeling great on day 8? Think about it, how do you feel today? Just pretend you are talking to your best friend and complaining about the hard parts and raving about the good.

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

If you haven’t yet, go ahead and register for the Group Cleanse to get our “Guided Cleanse Experience” email sequence timed to correspond with your registration and the important days as the come up during our scheduled group cleanses.

    Day 1: Lemonade

Don’t think I have any weight loss yet, as I fell off the wagon on the real Day 1:(

So I am trying to lose weight but this is only the beginning. I am an International flight attendant and over the last 5 years I have gained about 25 lbs. Eating all that food in first class on the destinations we fly has had an effect on not only my waistline, but also health. So this is the start of cleansing my body of all the processed food I take in on a regular basis AND eliminate the insatiable desire for sugar that I have acquired. I know I am going to suffer a little, but I am up for the challenge. I have lost 2lbs(I know it is just water weight but I don’t care) and am ready for day 2.

Today went very well for me I was happy when I woke up because I had made it through the Ease-In phase. I did have a war in my head each time someone passed my desk with food. I noticed that I did not have to be hungry to have a desire to want to put something in my mouth & that urge to chew will pass as long as I don’t get fixed on the ideal. I am noticing that I did not have the energy increase just yet but I am sure that will change as my body gets more adjusted to the master cleanse. I feel like my body is loving this break from digesting food and it feels good to me not feeling bloated and nauseated after eating food. I have always been health conscious about what I eat and have not had any beef or pork in over 25 years. I do want to adapt a raw foods diet and continue to lose weight after I finish the master cleanse. I do feel good overall and I seem to be sleeping a lot better I am going to drink my tea and go to bed.

Lemonade Diet DAY 1 (Newbie) – Being this is the first day on the diet I don’t feel any weight loss. Tomorrow when I do the SWF, maybe I will feel a little more of a “clean” feeling. I did feel a physical result to not eating solid food all day. For example, I put something in my mouth twice today, without thinking about it. I definitely miss the act of chewing!!! I felt what seemed like sadness a couple of times today. Not anything too dramatic, maybe just some small voice in the back of my head reminding me how much craving, and eating, bad foods is such a big part of my life. I am so looking forward to the “bouts of energy” I have read about!

    Day 1 Lemonade Cleanse-
I didn’t begin the Master Cleanse as a weight loss tool, however, that would be an added bonus. I actually wasn’t going to weigh myself at all, considering that my New Year’s Resolution was to never diet again. Dieting and weighing myself go hand and hand to me. Now that being said, I ended up jumping on the scale anyways because I didn’t want to regret not knowing later, the physical effect the cleanse would have on my body composition. Maybe the reduction in pounds will be more motivation to stay on the cleanse!

In my entire life I have never weighted over 135. Needless to day that is not where I am now. My doc told me almost 2years ago that I was over weight and my clothes spoke the same. I am in a size 14-16….REALLY…but I have sizes 10 and some 8’s. I was hospitalized 2years ago for possible cardiac issues and high cholesterol . I need to do this not only because my doc suggest but my body is pleading…..I gotta do this…I have completed day one and I feel good…..fears…I get bored easily and I don’t want that to be the reason for not completing the cleanse

LEMONADE Diet Day 1: Newbie: Detox and Salt Water Flush
So far today my detox symptoms are runny nose, dizziness, headache, and fluxuation in body temperature. Today I am really craving salt so I am looking forward to the morning when I can do my salt water flush. I am hoping that will quench this craving! It is sad how much junk I am forcing my body to rid itself of and when I am done with this I will not forget what I am putting myself through just for a few seconds of indulgence in whatever junk food I am eating! This is more to show that instant gratification isn’t always the best idea!!

LEMONADE Diet Day 1: Newbie: Weight Loss and Physical
After weighing in this morning it was more confirmation that I need to get my jump start for eating healthy again. I lost a lot of weight last year but some of those pounds have crept back up in the last two months because of carelessness. Today has physically been a challenge for me. My allergies are flaring up (I get them when it rains and it is raining today) and also have a headache that won’t go away. I know that because of the poisons I have been polluting my body with it is time to pay the piper as they say so this to will pass. It is night and I am going from hot flashes to freezing. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

LEMONADE DIET: Newbie: Weight loss and Physical:
Well I weighed in today and am way up there on the scales. I have a lot of weight to lost but I do understand that this is only a detox. I am not feeling very well today. My allergies have kicked in (I get them when it is going to rain and I am sure the detox also is playing a role), I have a terrible headache through my whole head, and I am getting dizzy. I got out and took a very short walk but just to get some fresh air. It is evening now but I am fluxuating between hot and cold and still can’t get relief from my headache. Day one is down so I am looking forward to seeing what day two has in store!

LEMONADE DIET – DAY 1 – NEWBIE -> “Time for Change”… I really appreciate how Mike started his Zero to Master Cleanser video (http://themastercleanse.org/zerotomastercleanser/) talking how he decided to make a CHANGE… I started making changes back in November with CONSISTENCY… I have been meeting with my PCP every 2 weeks, since Nov. on weight loss goals… and oh, i’m not a big fan of AMA stuff… I’m more of a naturalist… but sometimes we need other help… and my insurance pays for this help… and I NEED HELP!!!… she’s very cool medical doctor… and she’s even support of all raw vegan… but I don’t plan to tell her about the Master Cleanse until I’ve finished our Winter Cycle of Master Cleanse… I have lost weight, I have plateaued… but never gained anything back since November… there were some days when I was frustrated that the changes were not coming rapidly enough, especially when I was working so hard to get HEALTHY HABITS… and, more so, STAY COMMITTED to healthy habits… but it was all gradual… November I ate cooked vegan, did not change my diet, but started exercising, and drinking water… then I gradually increased water and exercise… then Dec 21st, I started all raw vegan, but kept exercise and water the same… everything that was “new” or a “change” was small and gradual, and one-thing-at-a-time… the 22day Ease In phase for me (12/21 – 1/12) consisted of this regime: 1. 44ounces of lemon water 1st thing, 2. green smoothie (Boutenko style 60%+ greens, 40%(or less) fruit), 3. big salad for lunch, that included protein sources, 4. nut milk for dinner, which was my major protein source…. when I would arrive at the doctor, giving her my accountability tracking sheet of my progress, she would say, “I don’t understand. You’re doing great. Something in your brain is not letting your body go.”… for me, I have some crazy-artery-connection with my heart-head-emotions-and-body when it comes to weight loss….so my doc is right, I wasn’t so ready for the bigger changes when I first started… but now I am ready for CHANGE… the entire plant kingdom on earth is constantly changing… I remind myself now, I don’t need to be stagnant.. CHANGE is good!
