Group Cleanse Support Topic: Weight Loss and Physical Results

This page is a Support Topic Page for Weight Loss and Physical Results for our Master Cleanse Group Cleanse. Please check that page for details on our Quarterly Cleanses and our Individual Cleanses.

The Group Cleanse will not only give us the forum to support each other, doing The Master Cleanse together, but it also enables us to track our experiences by setting standards to the conversation. If we all just posted random thoughts we would get a lot less value from the comments. But if the comments are structured, and relevant by time and topic, we can gain even more insight, more quickly and more effectively. Therefore we ask participants to start and finish the Master Cleanse on the same dates.

This page is the place for participants in the The Master Cleanse Group Experience to post their daily entries. To post, simply leave a comment. You don’t have to be logged in to post. Please provide 100 words each day – don’t worry; that’s not that much. The paragraph below, for example, is 100 words.

Weight Loss – Even though The Lemonade Diet is about so much more that weight loss, it is still an effective reduction diet. Weigh yourself each day. How much weight did you lose today? Are you happy or disappointing with the results? What were your expectations? Some people loose weight the day they start The Lemonade Diet. Some people don’t lose weight until well into the diet. Describe your daily experiences.

Physical – Talk about the way your body is reacting to the cleanse. Do you feel full of energy? Do you feel like you have a cold? Headaches on Day 2 but feeling great on day 8? Think about it, how do you feel today? Just pretend you are talking to your best friend and complaining about the hard parts and raving about the good.

If you are not participating, you can follow the post to get inspiration to try the cleanse or answer the most basic question: Is The Master Cleanse right for me?

Keep it simple, just talk in your own language about your daily experience. The more you are yourself, the more others will connect with you – and the more you can connect with what they are saying – which is what we want after all, a strong support network through a group experience.

    Lemonade Diet DAY 6 (Newbie) – I weighed today and have dropped another lb. that makes almost 4 lbs altogether. Yay! And around 11pm last night I begin to feel sooo much better after drinking lots of water all day. The warmth came back in my body and then to my hands and feet (the 2 parts that I could not get to stay warm). I slept so wonderfully because I stayed warm all night. So happy I feel better! because it was really wearing thin on my resolve! I moved around a lot better today and got a lot more done. I had a little bit of a headache and my nose was still running but I think that was because I was around a smoker yesterday evening.

    LEMONADE DIET – DAY 6 – NEWBIE ->

    Early Morning Notes for this blog:
    Physically my body feels tight… I want to feel loose… have energy, but want more energy
    my hair feels smoother and silkier at the top of my head, silky smooth, not dry

    Evening Notes for this blog:
    bought myself some “target” clothing… one shirt one size smaller… and I can put it on today!!!!… and could not put it on ten days ago! Bought myself a target-jacket (not Target the store, that my son called the “red eye” store when he was a little boy)… but TARGET, like “bull’s eye”….one of my favorite colors in the world is turquoise blue… bought a turquoise blue jacket that is 2 sizes smaller than I was 10days ago… I look at everyday on this cleanse… going to be wearing that beautiful jacket soon!

    Day -5 Lemonade Cleanse

    Today I did not wake up with the headache which was good and I did not feel the nausea with the SWF. I have not had a chance to weight myself yet but plan to this week. I did feel tired today I think just waking up so early and the long days that I have been having were a contributing factor to being tired. I have energy today and have been doing cleaning around the house. I am trying to make sure I drink enough water. I have noticed that my clothes are fitting me better a not so tight. Overall I am feeling good without any pains, the muscle aches have stopped and by back is not bothering me today.

    LEMONADE DIET – DAY 5 – NEWBIE ->
    Worked for 11hours straight.. no break… stayed true to the program because I want the RESULTS…

    Have lost 5lbs in 4 days…. have so much more to lose.

    As for exercise, I’ve only been walking, mostly aerobic walking in very cold temperatures, strong winds, and trying to dodge ice on the ground as I walk… I want to get back running very soon… but need to loose few more pounds so I don’t injure joints and knees… but really I am not flexible enough yet to start running…. I need to get back to my yoga practice so I can get my leg muscles stretched out… mostly my hip joints and hamstrings need a very good stretch

    also i want to start boxing…. it will be a bit of time before I feel comfortable going to the gym… but I have the Billy Blank’s kickboxing video and plan to start that first, in the privacy of my bedroom

    Lemonade Diet DAY 5 (Newbie) – I did not weigh myself. I figured if the scale showed any weight loss it would be from my severe dehydration. I had less energy today than I ever have during this whole 8 days. I know it is my fault and do not blame doing the MC at all. Physically I feel smaller. Well I know I’ve lost inches because today I put on a pair of pants that I didn’t even have to unbutton or unzip. When I am in bed at night, and my stomach is growling, I daydream about all the clothes I will be wearing (eventually, my long term goal) when I have dropped my weight. It motivates me and makes me happy. This MC is only the kick start to a life change that will eventually take me to where I need to be both physically and emotionally.

    Lemonade Diet Day 5 Newbie

    I’m not loosing weight. And this is very discouraging. It’s making me want to quit. My thougts are ike what am I going through theses extremes for?

    I’m happy about releasing toxins from my body but I really want to see fat loss.

      Tia, I read somewhere that we shed fat first, and fast. If you are in good shape to begin with, you don’t loose as much maybe because you don’t have as much fat. I have no idea if this applies to you, just thought you should know. But either way, you should lose some weight by the end of the 10 days. Hang in there!!

    LEMONADE DIET – DAY 4 – NEWBIE ->

    Ok, it’s time for the happy dance!!!!… I went to the doctor today and I have lost 18 lbs since Nov. 1st… from Jan 2nd to Jan 16th, I have lost 5 lbs…. I’m certain it’s the Master Cleanse helping me break my plateau and the SWF this morning certainly helped…. from mid Dec to Jan 2nd I hit a plateau… i kept with my goals of walking aerobically and drinking my water… and then I added only eating raw vegan foods… but I could not release… I’m sure it had to do with many layers of emotions from my past and my present… but finally I have allowed myself to LET GO…. I made a decision only to weigh at my doctors office until I get off that 1st 30-40lbs… then I might start weighing myself at home… I don’t want to OBSESS about the scale every day… I want to be CLEAN inside… and I want GOOD HABITS…. feeling happy about the weight loss news today, and looking forward to how much more I will have lost by Jan. 30th when I get back on the scale again…

    Lemonade Diet DAY 4 (Newbie) – I have lost 2.8 lbs. but remember, I didn’t weigh in the first day. Still, very pleased with my results. Excited to see more results and this motivates me. My lips and bottoms of feet were dry today. But as I mentioned before, I know I haven’t been drinking enough water today. I’m still having bouts of energy loss and being cold. It comes and goes. It kinda feels like I have a cold, with my nose still dripping a little bit, but I don’t have a fever.

    LEMONADE DIET – DAY 3 – NEWBIE ->

    Tomorrow I get on the scale at the doctor office… well I hope its good news. I’ve been going to my doctor either weekly, or bi-weekly, for accountability and “weigh in”…. back in Sept 2013, I realized I was having a health crisis once again. In November I told my doctor about it and she asked me what I need, and I said “support and accountability”… so we made a pact and we going to continue as long as it takes.

    I lost 85lbs in 2011 eating healthy and running… I even ran 5 5k’s in 40days after getting all that weight off… and I was running 10-12min miles… and for my age group, I need 9-10miles to qualify for Boston Marathon, which I want to do someday… “age is just a number” and anything can be accomplished with right mind set… I have many inspirational heros, and Diana Nyad completed the historic Cuba-to-Florida swim at age 64 without shark cage… and the real danger was the jelly fish… she attempted several times before… and did not give up..

    So like her, I intend to not give up… I gained back that weight as a form of protection, and from sadness in my life… but I’m going to get it all back off again… this Winter Session of the Master Cleanse is a great jump start

    Lemonade Diet Day 3

    Well on Ease in Day 3 I weighed myself (207). On LD Day2 I weighed myself and lost 5lbs (202). But this morning, Day 3, I weighed myself and gained 1.5lbs (203.5). I don’t what’s going on. I haven’t cheated on this diet and I am doing everything precisely. Hmm, I wonder has anyone else experienced weird flucations as well.

    Well, I’ll see how tomorrow goes.

    I usual weigh in the morning after the SWF BM and before my first LD drink.

      Tia, yes, that has happened to me, too. I lost a few then one day I gained a little. I don’t know why this happens but I think it’s normal. No worries. I also had several days of the same weight, then woke up to 3 lbs down. It’s normal;)
