Ease in Day 1: I will be starting my (7 to) 10 day MC Monday 1/13 and I’m pretty nervous as well as excited. Detoxing and “clearing the slate” this new year will help me in my physical and emotional goals for 2014. I appreciate any support this group can give and I will be as supportive as I can be as well. Peace & blessings!

Hello I’m a newbie on the cleanser and I was wondering what would be a good ease in start. I’m starting my cleanse on Jan 10. Although I know i m going to lose weight but I really want to do it for detox reasoning. I’m open to all tips and advice your willing to give… thanks
I would like to sign up for the group cleanse, starting with the ease-in on Jan. 10. I’ve never gone past day five in the past, hopefully I’ll make it this time with a little extra support :-)

I started the cleanse on January 31, 2013 as part of my New Year’s resolution. I chose not to do the ease-in-method because going straight to the lemonade seemed much easier….and it is (for me). So far I am 4 pounds lighter. My goal is to maintain the cleanse for 2 weeks.
Due to the holidays, today was the first day that I had to go to work since I started the cleanse and I went prepared. I wanted to make things easier for myself so I carried my 2 measurement spoons (1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon) with me to work. I squeezed the lemons into a small empty bottle that used to contain cinnamon and I poured some of the maple syrup into another small empty bottle that used to contain black pepper corns. (The bottles came in very handy). I have a bottle container that has measurements on the side so I used that for my water. Oh, and I carried the entire cayenne pepper bottle with me because it was small enough.
Making the lemonade and drinking it at work wasn’t hard. I made it in increments throughout the day. When wanted 8 ounces, I drink it down right away after making it or I doubled the ingredients for 16 ounces and drank it right away after making it. I think the lemonade is DELICIOUS. I have been downing 8 ounces 6 times a day (which is the minimum) and that seems to curve my appetite. I drink some at work and some at home.
The salt water is not bad but it’s not great either. It’s a little milder than taking in water from the ocean but since I have to gulp down a quart of it, I might as well be drinking sea water. I have a hard time taking all the salt water down at once so I do it in increments. What has helped is filling my 24 ounce workout water bottle which happens to have a straw that makes gulping down huge amounts of the salt water down. I gulp down half the bottle and finish the rest a few minutes after. After the bottle is empty I add the rest of it in my water bottle and gulp that down too.
The bathroom “movements?” Well, I am just glad I was home the entire day for day 1 of the cleanse. I have done cleanses before so I don’t trust any thing that feels like gas. Lol. I go straight to the bathroom and it works.
After 1, my movements haven’t been a big deal because I know what to expect.
The today went smoothly. I work in a small law firm and everything there is pretty liberal so I didn’t have any problems at work. BUT I think that with dedication and planning, this can be done in any environment. Making the lemonade at work was like making tea or coffee because I went to work prepared with everything I needed. My cravings aren’t completely gone and I am don’t expect them to completely disappear. I cope by drinking some lemonade when I start to crave something.
Hope this helps.
Good luck to everyone participating in the cleanse.
Tomorrow I am going to start adding workouts. Wish me luck!
