Day 4 may bring a clearing on several fronts. Often, you begin to get over the physical symptoms of what people call “Healing Events” (although they are reported to come throughout the cleanse, at any time). You may also get over the psychological need for food (although you do often feel a little tweak of “want”, not of “need”). The psychological “need” for food isn’t always a centered thought. We think we need the worst kinds of foods. We are socially conditioned to think “I need meat”, or “Three squares per day”. These ideas are artifacts from old concepts we can now disprove to some degree or another.
Perhaps the greatest benefit from the Master Cleanse is the new-found recognition that you don’t have to stuff yourself. Or that a big, beautiful piece of broccoli can sustain like a nice breast of chicken. The social adaptation we have made to meat can be replaced with a new norm, a new paradigm.
Healing Events are the sniffles, rashes, coughs and other symptoms mostly experienced around day 3 or day 4, but which can occur at any time throughout the Lemonade diet. These events are thought to be the removal of toxins that may have caused sickness on the way in. They say “sick in, sick out,” after all. If you pick up a bug, your body isolates it and tries to expel it through a variety of ways (mucous, coughs, sneezes, fevers, rashes, zits and more). The same is true when the toxin is leaving, so you get the symptom. That is the prevailing notion on healing events encountered during the Lemonade Diet.
Today is my Day 4; I’m down 11 pounds!!! I feel amazing, so much energy. I did go through headaches on Day 2 and 3. Didn’t do the salt water flush this morning, but I have been drinking smooth move tea in the morning and night. Tomorrow, I will do a light workout until Day 10.
I’m on day 4. It’s not too bad. I miss coffee though…my morning cup of joe has been replaced with a morning cup of tea now (peppermint). I’m slightly tired, but not hungry. I was moody like heck yesterday, but today I’m more relaxed.
Day 4. I am more hungry today, yet the last 3 days were not bad really. My stomach aches with hunger and is growling like it wants food. I guess I need to drink more water and I missed the salt flush the last 2 days because I woke up late. I will say I do feel better in other ways. No more leg aches and pains and I feel much lighter & brighter.
Omg!!! I feel the same exact way on day 4!!! I didn’t drink my salt water this morning and I think that’s why I was starving!!! I’m so hungry! Praying day 5 is better and I can finish my 10 days!
Day 4 – I sailed through the first three days with no issues. Today I feel extremely tired. I had a dream that I was eating eggs. Not losing much and fighting the debate in my head to just have a couple bites of salmon for lunch. No healing events just tired…My original plan was 21 days…hoping to make it to day 5.
I am definitely feeling better than I was yesterday. The nights of Day 2 and Day 3 were the worse for me because I kept on going to the bathroom. I began feeling chills in addition to upset stomach. Now on Day 4, I feel a bit better. The chills are not as bad and I’m actually happy that I’m not eating because I think that it might hurt. My abdomen feels sore and soggy. I have not felt like this since giving birth to my last child. I am a bit concerned, because although I am losing weight, I am also losing muscie tone. I have never been this flabby. My goal was to shrink my abdomen and get rid of my pouch because multiple people had told me that a pouchy pouch is the result of build-up in the small intestines. My only consolation is that I’m exercising and I read that the loss of muscle tone generally happens in the beginning of the cleanse and that the fat will go too, but later on.
Day 4 was a breeze…9lbs down and feeling great mentally and physically
Day 4- Easy so far! I have not had trouble really at all throughout the cleanse and this is my first time. I did notice that I was a sniffly today but that is the only side effect i have had. I am down 5 pounds the last time I weighed myself (last night) and I actually feel awesome! Not groggy and bloated from bad food and wine like I’m normally used to. My cravings aren’t bad, I cook my boyfriend dinner every night and I watch the food channel constantly but it doesn’t seem to bother me. I’m super excited to start a healthy raw food diet when I am through with the cleanse, that sounds way better to me than junky foods!
On Day 4. I don’t feel hungry. Had a tough day on Day 3 watching food commercials but made it through! I find eating ice chips helps me with the desire for something crunchy.
On day 4 and SO hungry and irritable. Hate everyone that is drinking wine and eating good food. I thought 3 was hump day?
